The Message Lodging just isn't enough for us, so here's a place where we can argue more completely.
Firstly, I think it is in order to address each of our nations, especially mine, because it's horrible statistics don't nearly seem adequate to express the neatness of the idea. And of course we can argue about our UN rep here too. This should just make things a bit easier.

The Theocracy of Aetherik
The Disciples who founded Aetherik were ambitious men who realized that their goals would never be accepted by the general populace. Aetherik was named after the deity Aetheran, whom the Aetherians are uncommonly devoted to. As a created deity, Aetheran exemplifies all of the goals which his creators set forth to achieve.
The Tenets of the Iron Breast
1) Aetheran is the one god who will help you in life as well as death.
2) Aetheran is a figment, anyone who believes otherwise is a citizen of Aetherik.
3) The citizens of Aetherik must never know that Aetheran is a figment, for then his will shall become inconsequential to them.
4) Aetheran will shelter them with simplicity, life is complicated. The Truth will make the people Weak.
5) The less people know, the more likely they are to accept Aetheran.
6) Aetheran's will and his knowledge are spread through leaders of nations, not through the minds of the people. The people are tools for produce, whose entire mental existance revolves about being dominated and indoctrinated, a process for which Aetheran is a tool.
7) Aetheran takes time to grasp the minds of the people, all must be patient.
8) The minds and bodies of the lower classes are separate. The bodies must be preserved and upkept, the minds must be destroyed.
The Iron Breast is the only passage of the Tome of the New Veracity which is left out of the text for the citizens of Aetherik. The Iron Breast are the principles by which those who believe Aetheran is a god are to be ruled. The Tome of the New Veracity expounds upon a few key topics of the religion which are to be engrained into the head of the commoners.
1) Elevating oneself to a higher station in life will serve you both in your current existence and upon descending to the world of Aetheran.
2) To go against the laws of the government is to go against the Church of Aetheran; one will be punished in life and afterlife for his transgression.
3) The clerichood of Aetheran is accessable only by the Most Pristine, none who's ideals are untrue can ever hold this office.
4) Gold is Aetheran's measuring stick of personal worth. To gain gold is to gain worth. Also, to gain others to the cause of Aetheran is to gain gold. Advance thyselves.
5) Breaking the law is futile. The clerichood and Aetharan support the law. Te break the law is to be punished.

The religion, passed on for a few generations, is now finally gaining momentum in Aetherik, and the Disciples of the Pure Spirit, who rule the spiritual affairs of the nation, are prepared to impart unto other nations the brilliance of their concept. Crime in Aetherik is nonexistant, people think they have freedoms when the truly have none. Their world is blissful because they are ignorant. They are productive because they are blissful.
Well, personally, I think I should be the UN Rep. I have the most endorsements at this point. I have one of the top countries in the region, and, if elected, I will be looking out for the good of our great region.
I also ask everyone in the UN in our region to endorse someone. It would definitely help come to a final decision that is fair.

On a less complicated and very less devious note...
Bluefusia will be shaped into a nation that could realistically take place on this earth, while very much attempting to form that "utopia".
-The government will be sizable, but only in certain areas.
1) Interference with the economy will be kept to a minimal. Bluefusia believes that the less the government interferes with the economy, the more it will stabilize and grow. The only interference mainly stems from attempts to balance out the wealth among Bluefusia's citizens.
2) Social Welfare will be provided, however, for those less fortunate who are overlooked to a large extent in free markets.
3) Education is to be highly prized and takes up a sizable amount of the budget. Teachers are as respectable as doctors, and highly paid, being the ones who shape the minds of the future.
4) Healthcare. While it cannot be provided for all, Bluefusia strives to provide healthcare for families that cannot afford it by providing tax incentives to healthcare providers who insure lower class citizens and by using tax dollars to directly provide healthcare. Those with special circumstances are given special consideration.
5) National security as regards to military spending takes up a smaller chunk of the budget. Money is preferably paid out to private businesses to provide security by supporting those that allow fewer security breaches, and withholding contracts from those that allow breaches. This leads to a competitive atmosphere to defend the country, and businesses that carry out such activities out are highly respected for their duty to the country. The competitive atmosphere forces businesses to be efficient in their dealings with defense.
6) Police and firefighters. Police and firefighters are highly respected careers, along with teachers and doctors. Ample funding provides incentives for mature and responsible adults to become those that put their lives on the line for our protection. Police have much broader authority, and have the right to shoot to kill if someone poses a fatal threat to a fellow citizen. The privacy of Bluefusia's citizens also take high priority, and searches of private property must be approved and backed by ample evidence to be warranted. The enforcement of tedious laws is not the purpose of the police.
These policies are of course subject to change, but isn't Bluefusia just dandy?
There will always be freedom of religion, as long as it does not teach one to hate another fellow man because of his or her own religion, race, nationality, etc. The leaders of these such organizations have been known to disappear during the night. There will be no martyrs. Religious values cannot be enforced on citizens not sharing the same view.
Abortion is allowed, but fines are imposed on the individual for being irresponsible and showing disregard for consequences. The fines are dependant on circumstances. Fines are not imposed if the female becomes pregant because of circumstances she could not control, such as being raped.
Homosexuality is allowed, and couples can obtain civil unions. It is illegal for homosexuals to be married. Homosexual couples are entitled to the same rights as married heterosexual couples are. Bluefusia maintains that homosexuality is contrary to nature, but refuses to tell people how to run their lives. Whether or not an individual accepts homosexuality or not is a personal issue, but the acceptance of it cannot be enforced on the populace by the government.
Lastly, any discrimination based on anything whatsoever, results in jailtime. Equal opportunity employment is not enforced, as it forces race to be considered in the hiring process. Businesses need only hire on the basis of the skills and the deservedness of individuals.
Ahhh, so there's Bluefusia in a nutshell. My god that took...20 minutes. I think I'm gonna go outside and stop nerding around.

Hmm...we're not typing all of that out. "That" being our nation's ideals and rules and everything.
And no, we are not referring to ourselves as "we" to be stupid; there really are two of us.
What's with all the violent smiley faces?!

I think it's not a bad idea, being that all of us have different views of that Utopia, and it sure beats the hell out of debating it in person. For example, I want to see Matt formulate his nation without implementing the "ubershield" :headbang: and the laser that zaps every non-anarchy conformist :mp5: ;)
Personally, I think it is quite silly to comment on how great your nation is. That is kind of arrogant, in my opinion.

To simply explain your nation and how you would run it I think is far from arrogance. It's a matter of opening up eyes to other ways of running things.
Either way this is for fun. Not like Bluefusia will become a reality anytime soon. :gundge:
