The great exodus of the Realitainian people [open]

Realitainia

Almost never-ending natural disasters, a great famine, an outbreak of a deadly disease, amongst other things, all devasted the nation, making it practically uninhabitable. What is left, just over a million people all gather together at the only port left untouched by the devastation, getting there anyway they can, be it by the few cars left, by foot or by boat.
Abaaras Port, southern Realitainia
The one high leader left, the one person left that can effectivly gather people, Grand High Admiral Innokenti Mstislav steps up onto a makeshift stage, and addresses the crowd. "People, Realitainians, friends, the disaster that has struck our nation is on a scale not unlike armageddon, and all of us have sacrificed many loved things to be here, to witness the dawning of a new age, the next necessary step". He waves to the great many ships in the dock, the almost-falling-apart military and civilian owned ships "My friends, these ships will carry us to the next land, to a life of safety and comfort, they are loaded with enough fuel, food and water to make the journey to the next land safely, now, if you would kindly gather your belongings and your family, we can set out on the last journey we will ever make". The people sort into lines of family and friends, and board the ships, hoping that their destination is at least a safe one, and that the same hard work that kept them alive in Realitainia will keep them alive in whatever country they would visit next.

OOC: where they go next is up to you. It doesnt even have to be a particulary friendly nation. [info on the ships] Most of the fleet is civilian yachts, and upwards, although there are a few military ships, including the Flagship 'The pride of Realitainia', a relativly small command ship. Every ship but the POR is falling apart to some degree. And yes, constructive criticism is welcome, i am trying to improve myself.

Interesting concept.

This give you a lot of good info to help with your RP experience, and put it in a form that will encourage more to RP with you.

The other thing that I have noticed, is that the more established RPers may not want to play with you from the beginning. You need some good history behind you before some of them will allow you in their RP.

BUT there are many very cool veterans that will take the time with you, pointing you in the right direction.

So...enjoy! Create! RP yer heart out!!

"Miss Den Otter?"

Irene den Otter, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, started. She wondered how long her PA had been standing at her desk unnoticed before resorting to drawing attention to herself.

"The message to Admiral Mstislav was transmitted about fifteen minutes ago, ma'am. There've been no replies yet."

"Good. Thank you, Ellen."

"Can I get you anything? Coffee?"

Den Otter snorted. "It's been a rough day, yes, but I'm not quite suicidal, so no. If you're making tea, I'll have some, and hold all calls that don't relate to the situation in Realitainia. And keep trying to get a hold of Portamarin City Hall and the National Blue Cross."

She turned back to her monitor and schematic maps of the Portamarin docks. For nearly half a year, the empty lots and warehouses had been all that remained of Avis Azul's doomed car manufacturing industry. Surely, any way in which it would once again be utilised, albeit to house some 100.000 refugees, would be preferable to just having it there?
