In recent months the Empire has been somewhat reticent in dealings with other nations, but now it has been decided that we will once again expand outwards into the international and interplanetary fold once again. The aforementioned project is to develop a metal or metal alloy capable of withstanding both the intense heat and pressure of the insides of a sun. Not only will this have remarkable military applications,but also scientific applications such as exploring both the depths of space and the depths of the world itself. Any nations of sufficient size and economic standings who have experience in metalurgy would be appreciated by applying

Inside a star, you have intense nuclear fusion going on. In the largest stars, you can even see fusion burning of heavy metals going on. It is the opinion of our metallurgists that there is no alloy that, by itself, could withstand such an inherently oppressive environment. Some sort of electromagnetic or quantum shielding would be necessary.

That would be the reason we are trying to develop the metal, or current Fleet armour, a rare metal known within the Empire as Jitanium, is capable of withstanding intense laser fire for many minutes before degrading, but is not able to withstand stellar heat. This alloy could be used to create a new metal. The standard shielding used by the Empire is a standard SW kind of shield technology, although, any nation who could help with both shields and alloys, would be just as good
