Expanding the Interstellar Highway

The Palladian Technate is looking to expand its Interstellar Highway system! Currenty servicing five inhabited star systems and two uninhabited systems in its testing phase, the Technate has deemed the Interstellar Highway fit for pan-galactic use!

What is the Interstellar Highway?
The Interstellar Highway consists of gates (http://images.noyuo.com/interstellar_highway.jpg) connected to small (http://images.noyuo.com/station1.jpg) or large (http://images.noyuo.com/orbital-embassy.jpg) Power Stations.
Both small and large stations are equally efficient at producing power, though large stations can produce energy for longer distances and feature usable interior space.

How Does it Work?
The Interstellar Highway is an interconnected network of Gates, each one capable of moving its contents instantaneously to any other gate within one hundred lightyears. This effect is produced using space-folds. A space-fold involves "lifting" the space within both gates into higher dimensions into a single point, which "hands off" matter in one gate to another. Because the energy demands for spacefolding increases exponentially as distance increases, the use of two points folding into a common point dramatically decreases the power required for such a jump.

Current Gate Locations

Eness System (Eness III/Pallas)
Shertaeth System (Shertaeth II/Capital)
New Pallas System (New Pallas IV/New Palladia)
Sol System (Sol V/Jupiter)
New Monad System (New Monad III/Monadus)
Unnamed System One (NSP14-5 II)
Unnamed System Two (NSP123-6 V)

Why Use the Interstellar Highway?
The Interstellar Highway is instantaneous.
The Interstellar Highway is energy-efficient.
The Interstellar Highway connects your star systems to other civilizations.
The Interstellar Highway encourages trade.
The Interstellar Highway works with any ship.
The Interstellar Highway makes the galaxy smaller.
The Interstellar Highway moves any mass.
The Interstellar Highway seamlessly connects all of your solar systems.

What do I have to do?
The Palladian Technate will establish a Gate in as many star systems as you want - absolutely free! The only obligation that your government has is power, simply transport hyrdogren fuel to the power station for the Gate's continued operation. Feel free to charge your citizens or others use of your energy. The Technate will maintain a compliment of engineers and repair machines in the power station. Other Gate-related services, such as a defense fleet or hydrogen fuel, will be made availible upon request, for a modest fee.

Feel free to ask any questions! All nations are accepted, no questions asked! The Palladian Technate will NOT be responsible for other nations' use of the Interstellar Highway, nor will we police any Gates not in Technate space. A map of Gate-using solar systems will be made availible if interest is expressed.

Time to bump this pathetic thread!

Please, consider our offer! This is no scam, we have no other motives aside from inciting trade and contacting new civilizations...this is how we plan on covering the cost of the Gates' construction. Contact us with any questions or concerns at all, none is too menial or complex for us to answer. Also, if any other nations have a compatible network, we would be interested in connecting to it.

I would show interest (I really would) except that I already have an identical thing of my own.

However, if I didn't have my own Gates I would definitely (probably) show (some) interest!

A most interesting idea. TAG for when I get around to creating an interstellar space fleet.
