I have a new idea for an RP, the period of time it is in will be around the late 1600's, like where they have the old fashioned pistols, and rifles, and then the swords and such as well. The setting is a carnival, where a guy (the lead badguy) is planning on an assasination of a freind. He will carry out the assasination, and then the time switches over to a half a year later, where it is at the assassains execution. Right once they are about to hang him he mysteriously disapears in a puff of smoke. So therefore some people decide to go and search out this guy and kill him theirselves in honor of their freind (the one who was assassinated) This will kinda be a fantasy/action/mystery type of RP. I am welcoming a number of people, but not to many, I want to keep the number of people under ten. Sign up now.

Why does he want to kill his friend?... That seems just a bit wrong... and why do the good duys want to avenge their friends death?

Why is it in a carnval? Why not a budhist temple or something else?

because I am not budhist, why are you demanding stuff out of a nation that is a million times bigger than you and has more experience on NS.

not to mention... if this were the sixteen hundreds, the main philisiphy is that the bad guy is not wanted to die by god so they should eave him alone...

the 'carnavals' of the sixteen hundred where festivals dedicated to meat and throwing things at unfortunate jewish people... at least if you're talking about Europe here...

ok lets put it this way the bad guy is mentally unstable and the freind accidentally insults him in a group of people, and makes the guy want to seek revenge...
...and seeking revenge is a common thing to do when you lose a freind, not anymore that is, but back then yes

and if you want to know why its at a carnival its because back then carnivals were full of madness and crazyness going on and would make a perfect place for an assassination if your good enough

how about a bunch of people chasing a man who set fire to their village? And there are a few more things I need to ask

I am not a crazed fanatic viking group like you are

-The badguy has seemingly magical powers, but only him
-the motivation is because he was mentally unstable and the guy accidentally insulted him without knowing it
-because the badguy killed their freind for no reason

what if the bad guy's victim was his brother? This would make for an intersting thing, let us also say his wife has had twins... this was viewed in the middle ages as having relationships with two people at once, since their is a family resemblance factor, most people suspected their brother

-is techon primarily a warmonger nation or a mostly peaceful farming cimmunity
-how do the people of techon view religion?

Can fight using quarterstaff, and bow and arrow, learned from when he was still a noble. Carries around several techon holy books around his person at all times; hoping to block and arrows that are launched at him with the holy documents. Black hair, green eyes, gaunt figure.

there's a difference between mental instability an paranoia, but very well.

Calvus stayed up late that night, thoughts flying around in his mind, each more confusing than the last.

He was right there when he had dissapeared from the gallows...
How could that man have done this... It was not possible, he had just vanished...

Wheezing, Calvus lay down to sleep. And somewhere... faintly he heard a cackling laughter echoing throughout the march mountains.

He was still out there...

that was pretty good actually, but just remember the RP will actually start at the carnival during the assassination, but yes you could use that for after he was supposed to get a short drop and a sudden stop

A solitary raven flapped its way across the forests of the march mountains, the moon was blocked out by a thick layer of grey clouds, yet one of the valleys was alight with music and fires.

The raven landed on the forest floor and began to shuffle its way across the ground. Picking at a worm that had wandered out of the dirt.

"Calvus, where is this thing anyway?"

The raven flew off, startled by the ten intruders. They wove a slow line of torches, and were headed deeper into the March mountains.

"In a clearing, not far off, I can hear the music I think..."
"Good gods man, have you gotten us lost again?"
"Don't speak of the divine ones in vain, especially in front of a monk Yiisah," calvus advised.
"Indeed Yiisah, not the best time or place." Another man spoke wryly,"
"Shut up Owen, you're one to talk."
"There it is!"

The ten men ceased their quarrel and gazed at the carnaval, a collection of tents and pavillions illuminated by blazing torches. Musicians, dancers and acrobats were frolicing around. The carnaval of the March Mountains was in full swing

OOC: don't have any other ideas for now, I think we need more character names...
