Rock Band (Open RP/Signup) - Page 2
OOC: Hey, I know this might be a bit of a long shot but is there anyway I could join in?
(I don't see why not...where do you see yourself joining in??)

OOC:Well if I were a band member I'd be a drummer cos thats what I am in real life BUT I would really mind what I was as long as I have enough decent involvement in the RP.

"The tour bus. I'll ask the question, but do me a favour, and read out every detail on the bus, then I'll ask." Slash said. Grinning slightly, he held out the tour bus sheet.

That must've been the strangest question ever asked, but Amico humored the rocker. He read the stats aloud:
"The bus is powered by a 290 C Turbo Cummins Diesel engine with a 140 gallon fuel tank. It is eleven feet high and weighs 16 tons. The floor is lead lined to keep the motor and road noise down.
The driving area is equipped with a special double fold-down co-pilot seat, cassette player, DVD player, PA unit, 38 Channel CB, digital alarm clock, altimeter, inside and outside thermometer and ice indicator, and automatic electric steps with light.
The front lounge area features two swivel recliner easy chairs and a couch which opens into a double bed.
Behind the front lounge area is the elaborately equipped galley featuring an electric range with oven and rotisserie and microwave, refrigerator, garbage disposer, trash compactor, built-in electric can opener, built-in four slice toaster, built-in vacuum, dining bar, storage cabinets and double stainless steel sink.
The bath area contains a full shower, two marine commodes, vanity and medicine cabinet. There are two queen size beds in the bedroom-dressing area, of which there are two. The sleeping area also has two full-length closets and other storage areas, vanity, full-length mirror and solid privacy door. The bus sleeps 6 comfortably."
He smiled at Slash. "Any other questions?"

Slash grinned.
"Indeed there are. If you haven't noticed, there are more than six of us in our band. Could you get rid of some of the seats, and add a few more beds. I mean, we're like brothers, but I refuse to sleep with another man. I'm sure all of you feel the same?" Slash asked the rest of the band.

Amico looked around, using his finger to count obviously.
"I see four of you...but I'll trust your judgement. We have three of these behemoths for the band, and a smaller one for the crew."
"Yeah there are more than for of us," Murdock said. "Some were just unable to come here. As Slash said, I don't want to share a bed with another band member."

Amico turned to Murdock, noting his red eyes.
"As I said, we have 3 of these for the band, and most nights, you'll be in hotels anyways. Hey...it's better than sleeping in yer van, right?"
He got up and walked to the coffee machine. As he went through the motions of pouring himself some java, he spoke over his shoulder.
"Just to make things clear guys, we're not here for a negotiation. We're here to go over the final plans." he walked back to the table, sipping the bitter brew.
"In the back of your folder is the contract that your manager signed...so, now that that's cleared up, does anyone else have any questions before we review the itinerary and ground-rules?"

OOC: So can I join in at all?
OOC: So can I join in at all?
<<OOC: Well, it seems like some folks have dropped out of this RP, and we may be short some bandmembers. We have two guitarists (Slash n' Murdock), two vocalists (Streif n' Murdock), one harmonica (Streif) and a drummer (Rico). Everyone else is missing in action.
So...I have no objections, anyone else?>>

OOC: Wow, I thought this one was dead? Is Iain gone? Can I pick up the bass again?
"Uhm...Slash? He did say that we have three of these vehicles, with two beds in each AND a roll-out bed. That makes NINE beds total...so I don't think we need to vote on that." Rico lit a cigar, looking at the rest of the band.
"I think we need to decide what to do without a manager. Georgi is still missing in action." He looked at Murdock, hoping that he would have some answers. Iain was missing too, which worried the drummer. He had been depressed recently, and drinking alot. Rico hoped Iain was alright.

"Mr.Amico I have a question" Streif said. " will there be any bands in the opening act?"
"And also do we have any equipment that we will use for the show for special effects?"
(OOC: Masa...Masa guy, we already have a drummer, its Rico, also this was a sign up thread. We signed up a while ago. You may get my hint in this post as to what you can do though.)
Murdock met Rico's glance. "What I think is getting a new manager. Georg was good, but he is gone now."

"Now those were very good questions. Thank-you, Mr. Streif." Amico replied, taking a sip of coffee.
"For the Canadian leg of the tour, we'll be using mostly local bands to open the show...thats always good P.R. We're negotiating with some bands for the American tour, but we'll have more details later." He rifled through the file in front of him, pulling out a few sheets.
"All the details of the crew, sound and light gear and special effects are right here...trust me, it's a nice rig we've got. We supplement it in each city, renting whatever we need. Guys, we do this all the time." Amico paused, lighting another cigarette.
"As for your management problem, well, we ARE a management company as you know. I'm sure we could come to some sort of agreement that is beneficial to both of us." He looked through his papers again.
"No one has commented on this yet..." Amico tossed a document across the table. It was a proposed setlist of songs, a mix of covers and original compositions. Murdock saw three of his own songs, and one other by Streif. There were a few that nobody recognized as well.
Murdock was the first to look over the list, he nodded his head. "A nice callauge, three of my songs, two of Streifs, and some others. Now no one can get angry at our list, because it will appease everyone in the band, as well as the crowd."

(OOC-sure you can do that but maybe you should be the manager because he isnt here right now and I dont think hell go back to this thread)
"Great list, man" Streif said with satisfaction. "For the last song I think we should do some big special effects. You know what I mean?"
