I've been meaning to make this post for some time, but never was prompted to until now. Every once in a while, someone will make a post about colonizing Ganymede. Many of you know that I have had a colony (er, 'protectorate') on Ganymede for quite some time now... a lonnnnng time now.
This isn't a GET OFF MY MOON post, so don't go away yet: I figured it's about time that I made my stance clear on things like this.
I'm one of those people who doesn't think that NS takes place in 'one' RP-universe, but rather many. People tend to stick with a particular group of RPers, and not deal with anything outside that group. This works because, frankly, there are now too many nations in NS for everybody to be affected by everybody else's actions.
So here's my policy: If I don't RP with you, and I have no RP-connetions to you, you can do what you want with Ganymede. (The problem comes if/when I ever want to participate in an RP with someone who has done so, or they want to RP with me, but that hasn't come up yet.) That goes for pretty much everything else, too. It happens outside of my 'NS universe.' Don't consider it an ignore-- it just makes things a little easier for everybody. :)
That should clear things up.
