“Ladies and Gentlemen, Neri and Nissi, friends all, I shall now unveil my intended policies for the upcoming year for your evaluation and criticism. Firstly, I desire to continue my existing policies with regard to the economy. In our existing small-government model, we have found a system that serves successfully to keep the money far more in the pockets of the individual than in other nations. I intend to sustain this lack of income taxation as well as give a marginal increase to new business and family grants.
“It is my intention to co-finance, with private industry, the construction of a colony-city on Venus – Eärendil – in the next few years. The Empire has long had a military presence there, but the state of the terraforming leads me to decide that the time has come for a permanent civilian presence in Sentinel One. This city is conceived as relatively small, but as a showcase of technical abilities, one that should be impressive in its construction. To this end, it is my intention to open the design of the city to all architects who have any wish to participate, and leave many of its more redundant aspects to the artistic community of our great nation.
