"...The ad first ran many stations in the morning, as many Konanians sat over their newspapers, sipping coffee and wishing that they could go back to bed. It began with the display of a series of images from around the Peninsula--some farming, the mountains of the South, the cities of the north and west--while some upbeat tune played in the background. A voice began a few seconds later:
"'One of the most beautiful tourist spots in the world... right in your own backyard. Get out of your house and experience all your Homeland has to offer. Plan your cross country trip -- or travel to the far reaches of Sisgardia and see the vast assortment of cultures that make up our fine region. Get Out Of Your House, and see the world today!'
"It was the most recent in a string of attempts to bring Konanian citizens out of 'hiding' and entice them to consider aiding the nation's floundering domestic tourism industry that has reported falling profits for the eigth year in a row. Foregin tourism is down as well, as recent international events have convinced many of us that the last safe place on Earth (or Ganymede) is one's own town..."
