Out of curiosity, what is Acigoo? I've fund one thread on the subject via google, but the link is to a thread on the old forums....there's also an Acigoo region (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/41622/page=display_region/region=acigoo_realm) with one nation in it....

Basicly acigoo is a non-terestrial substance that basicly transforms anything it touches into something far more violent and powerful. During the first acigoo war the first two weeks were all calm. The creatures were simply put as "cute" untill they suddenly evolved and began attacking. Also the name comes from the waords acid and goo. becasue whatever it touches it melts and that mens anything. And I already know aobut that guy but thanks for showing it anyways. And the main thing we neded was on the old fourms.

Um, besides one April nation I don't really recall many 'older' nations in that thread...well there was one but I can't recall who it was...

I was involved in the Egypstan Conflict.
What I remember was that Egypstan had "secured" a sample of Acigoo, without fully realizing its destructive power. They were planning to use it in ballistic missiles and such. Quite a few nations including, but not limited to ViZion, Bajon, Foe Hammer, Squornshelous and Phalanix. (I know there were others, but I can't remember all of them. Missile bombardments from the seas around Egypstan were commenced, and elements of several space fleets ended the conflict in an assault from orbit. After that, the sample was recovered and disposed of in a black hole (right?). Egypstan was undergoing reconstruction efforts with a lot of help from many of the nations involved in its destruction when I phased out of the RP.

Also, wasn't Bajon involved in the original Acigoo War?

Well I will illustrate the history of Acigoo from the Alconian Perspective.

We received a request for technical assistance on evaluating and possibly destroying an alien substance known as Acigoo. Specifically the material had already been found and utilized to produce large 'dragon' like creatures. We advised about using a plasma furnace for destruction of chemical weapons to be tested on the material.

At the same time problems involving the 'children' of the orginal (or second) Acigoo holding nation loving these creatures and not wanting them destroyed came up. We offered to send them on tours of Klatchian Wildlife...(I'm not sure what was a worse idea leaving the kids with the acigoo or letting them see Klatchian Wildlife...)

In the end, problems occured and the orginal nation (name withheld due to memory problems) and the deal fell apart. If I recall correctly some part of the material/being matrix was 'stolen' during the intial phases of ridding the planet of the material. In the end a three way war appeared eminant and all Alconian personel withdrew a safe distance from the conflict.

The Dual Duchy became hostile to those forces that destroyed the acigoo creatures and their source when they began selling acigoo. Specifically, ViZion began to sell the material with 'restrictions' which we thought were unenforcable...that the material should be completely and utterly destroyed.

Quincy Minning, disagreed in part and secured some material at this time by supporting a purchase through a secondary party.

As far as the Dual, and now United, Duchies are concerned this led to several minor world conflicts. However, most of the materials so claimed to be Acigoo have infact not been acigoo. This is primarily due to the wild claims of small states who had either no R+D to deal with the material or clue as to the orginal's properties.
(OOC: At some point I saw four or five threads relating to Acigoo...all of them piss poor Rp that didn't even stay near the orginal parameters of the material)

We should note that in the Eyptianstan matter the Lords of War asked our advise. It appears that they sent a small taskforce of gravships into said nation to help destroy enemy installations and capture the enemy leader. It is reported that the leader of Eyptianstan was actually killed by a Var warrior on the ground.

The current Alconian policy is that any nation that possess or attempts to experiment with acigoo shall become our new test site for our neutron weapons systems.

OOC: After the whole Egyptian Conflict began I washed my hands of the mess...It draws too many Uber State noobs like honey to flies for my tastes.

The only thing I know about Acigoo is remembering some fool arguing that it was a legitimate modern-tech weapon - and ignore-proof. So ignored him.

I had some acigoo in my nation, but I went through quite a lot to get rid of the stuff at the beginning.
