I just thought religious types might like to consider the argument that it was in fact Judas that saved mankind. After all, if Big Jude hadn't betrayed that boring git Jesus, then the latter would never have died (on the cross), thus giving up his life for all people who lived then, had ever lived, or ever would live.
Alternatively, you believe that God had already planned this from the beginning of time. Well, if that it is indeed the case then he's really quite an illogical entity, isn't he? I mean, he'd have know Adam and Eve would screw him over (therefore contradicting the doctrine of free will). Ignoring the fact that they supposedly had free will, then Christ was dying for them and all that would come afterwards. Why not just send the bloke then? I'm sure Eve wouldn't have minded being responsible for the immaculate conception.
If you think that last paragraph was bull, then by default the first one must be true. Therefore, Judas saved humanity by betraying his mate - he'd obviously realised he was a total w*&^er after all!
Rock on Judas!
