Peaceful, Pro-Democracy Protest Begins in Capital (Open)

Aequatio

Martyr's Square, Magna Casa, Aequatio

It was a normal day that was unlike any other in the capital, street vendors were selling over-priced souvenirs, tourists from around the country and abroad were admiring the architecture of the old city and people were basically going about their business as usual. At around noon, a small group of cars pulled up to the entrance to the square and nearly twenty men and women stepped out, all carrying something, ranging from signs to camping equipment to loudspeakers. They proceeded to section off a part for themselves by shooing away the people and setting up a camp, a soap box was set on the ground and a man wearing a ski mask and an old army jacket with the Aequatian flag stitched upside down and a red "X" marked over it spoke from a megaphone that was in his hand.

"For too long the Aequatian citizen has lived their life thinking that they live in an equal, justified and democratic nation ruled by the laws of the republic and liberty. I appologize to destroying your fantasy, but President Schaeffer has decieved you and the entire nation, the National Senate is a joke along with the High Couthouse, both just puppets under the power hungry, fascist, lying government which pours its money into the military and presses its citizens to serve as soon as they're out of secondary school and ignores the true issues of social welfare and equality, healthcare and education in preference to the military, business and industry like book publishing which is basically run by the state and the corrupt automotive industry which soaks up huge profits by ignoring international agreements and shares its profits with the executive branch of the government.Citizens that do not support the government of one are taken away and never seen again or are brainwashed or as the President's office likes to say 're-socialized' into the spineless 'yes' men that are awarded and given comfortable jobs inside the government. The time is nigh that the citizens of the true republic stand up and defy the evil government that dwells within that sanctuary of imperialist corruption," said the man as he pointed across the street towards Bomfy Manor and stepped down from the box and joined his compatriots around him.

(OOC: This is entirely open, roleplay as a tourist or student from your nation in Aequatio, an agent from your nation seeing this and deciding to exploit this as a way to bring the government in Aequatio down or as whatever, this is RP.)
