MD1 will occur on finals day of WCXVI (2 days from now) An RP is suggested before MD1 to help give you a bonus. Remember each team will play home and home in the group. The Matchday schedule:
MD1: 1v2, 3v4
MD2: 2v4, 1v3
MD3: 1v4, 3v2
MD4: 4v3, 2v1
MD5: 3v1, 4v2
MD6: 2v3, 4v1
Two teams will move on from each group, and if there is a tie between 1st and 2nd, Goal differential will determine the placement. If there is a tie between 2nd and 3rd, then their series record will determine who moves on. (W/L, goals scored) if there is still a tie, a sudden death game will be simmed.
All games are played in The Eagle's Nest and as such all games are played as if at a neutral site.
**Edit** Finally, LE was playing a friendly today against their colony Chacur, and the LE coach wagered their spot in the Eagle's Cup on a win. Chacur upset them 1-0, stealing the spot away from Liverpool England.**
Good luck all!

In Reichsmarkia, the group draw caused a shock. Of course, the Insane Inflation National team is a bunch of losers, the best among the not-really-good, (the really good players left and never ever looked back), but this group would also for better teams be not just hard but insane.
NEWI Cefn Druids were a team which stoically suffered losses and in this always reminded a bit of Abysmalistan (but were always superior in skill), but then things changed: We don#t know what exactly caused this change, but it is not expected to be from this planet because the change was too significant: The Druids became a really good team and even qualified for the world cup not to go 0-0-3 there.
Cockbill Street Don't just have a good U21 team, but also an advantage of a different kind: Coach Hexatux. It is no normal coach, it is a math-logical device powered by caffeine. Hexatux won already the HVSR with rejistanian side Sikane S and helped the Streeter U21 to reach the final. We guess the only way to defeat Cockbill Street is to find operator Siki Rej and trade him for 6 points.
Turori has never qualified for the world cup but the high amount of RPin, which they are said to use (even though this is not proven) will make them invincible at least for the Insane Inflation Nationals.

Jungle Cats plan Starblaydi Annihilation
---------------The Vilita Jungle Cats are already preparing for their Eagles Cup group C encounters with Starblaydia, rigourously training and watching videos to ensure they cream their North Eastern Rivals to the most extreme extent. Coach Helmut Vilkaus spoke of his delight in drawing Starblaydia:
---------------"When I saw the blades come out of the hat I was very much thrilled. We have a good history against them, and a strong rivalry as well. We were glad to hand them a defeat in their first ever World Cup match, and would be pleased to multiply that result twice over here in the Eagles Cup. But Ideally, we would like not just to beat them, but to hand them a good thrashing, 3 or 4-nil is where I would begin to be happy with our performance. While the blades do have an up-and-coming-squad, I still see the state of play here in Vilita advancing at a greater rate, so there is no reason why this is not possible."
---------------The Press conference also marked an important day in Vilitan FA history, as for the first time, a Vilitan press conference was attended by the leader of Vilita themselves. It is unknown what the title, or role of the Single Most Important Being to the Tropics of Vilita holds, but it is known that they are in fact, "That Special One." It was actually the first public appearance that the special one had made in years, and the media was shocked when the Special One had read a particularly intriguing Statement:
---------------"We are proud of the advances that our National Team has made in this sport. We are now looking to be serious contenders for the championship in this competition of Eagles, however, it is not my job to care whether we win or lose. That is Sir Vilkaus' Responsibility. My only concern is to deal with the larger issues. One of the Nations that our sporting team will be in competition with is the Nation by the Name Of Creedence Clearwater. With the current level of inactivity within the realm of Creedence Clearwater, it is clear that it would have been in the best interest of all Vilitans, myself included, had we been able to compete with our strong regional allies, Eystrck. I have been in much discussion with the Special One of Eystrck and together we have formed a great bond. While we would like to have seen our teams go head to head in the Group Qualifying stage, we now accept that this is not possible. However, We, as Vilitans, owe to our neighbors the gift of aide, which we will be sending in the truckloads over to Eystrck in the form of Better Equipment, New Uniforms, Contractors to Upgrade their Training Facilities, Lighting units to keep them practicing after the sun dissapears, and high calibre coaches to help them on their way. Most notably, we have sent former Vilitan Regional goalkeeper, Jutaoi Linuao, the man responsible for bringing the exciting Jeremie Emeka to the National Stage, to work with the Eystrck Coaching staff, not only in Goalkeeper Training, but in all around skills."
"Our Hopes are high for the Eystrck National Team, and we will look with great anticipation to see how they fare in the upcoming Eagles Cup."

Coach not worried by talk of 'Annihilation'
Georges-Ringeaux plays down ranking gap
"Of course he wants to beat us four-nil. That.. uh.. gentleman, isn't happy with anything but a six-nil gap every game he plays. Typical Vilitan attitude, if you ask me." Head-Coach Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux went on to add: "They don't jsut want to play nicer football, or have better results, they're on a dedicated campaign to get to the top of the world rankings and stay there, winning everything on the way. It's not the way to play a game, in my opinion."
This Woodward-style approach may, in fact, be the reason Starblaydia are languishing thirty-three places below the Vilitans.
"They started competing on the world stage two Cups before we did," says ex-international and highly-successful Under-21 Coach Guylain N'Dumbu-Nsungu, I've been taking their tack with the Under-21s and look where we've got to, the second -best Under-21 team in the world!"
Also pointing to a near-parity with Turori, who have been around about as long as Starblaydia, Guylain reckons he could really progress the team forward in the coming years should he be given the helm. No-one is saying that a bad performance would mean a Georges-Ringeaux exit, but after another poor Cup of Harmony performance and a World Cup 16 that was nothing to write home about, some fans are wondering if the excellent strides made in the debut World Cup 15 have continued or fallen back.
If a poorer performance than the rankings suggest is the result of this tournament, the calls will only increase for Jean-Paul to take a serious look at his coaching style.
Eystrck's Lad's For The Eagles Cup!!
~Head Coach: Jared Rector~
---The Force---
Attackers:
Jackle Sach-21- Usually fields for us as a midfielder but this game he put his speed and skills to the test.
Megna Redding-22-On his best games, this lad can pretty much out-run and out smart any player he comes up against. Let’s hope it's his best game :)
Ettle Ramos-19- One of the strongest players on the field. He has a great shot, and can place a ball on any part of the field.
Midfielders:
Jamaia Ayinde-21- Can withhold himself anywhere on the field. However, he is straight off injury, but hopefully this won’t affect his ability to hold his stamina.
Turon Simone-20- A former ‘bench-warmer’, Turon proved his ability of great distributing skills, and showed the team he can contribute more than just handing out water. ;)
Risque Business-23- More than just a name, Risque is a comfort to the team in that he is always consistent as a player.
Istro Vanning-19- Averaging about a goal a game, this young player contributes great skill and determination to The Force.
Defenders:
Gari Shultie-19- One of the best built lad’s on the team, Shulty provides a great “stonewall” effect in that he must get the ball, or the player.
Dion Spradley-21-Known for his outstanding foot, this lad is very reliable in making sure all the opposing team dares not to invade The Forces home.
Teriaki Chu-20-Coming here from China may have been rough, but fitting right in with this team was not for him. He brings speed and intelligence to the field. The Force is lucky to have him.
Goal Keeper:
Dave Hustil-22- Has been asked to contribute to The Force after being on The Fury for quite some time.He has always been consistent in his ability to outsmart the attackers and keep his saving average up.
Subs:
Bubba James-20- Bubba is and injured player (broken foot), just about ready to join his team again. He is waiting for his chance to start again as right attacker.
Ryane Shrit-20- After an improved season for this fellow, Glacier is attempting to give him a shot at mid.

Re: Starblaydia opening win in EC3
CC: Felled 1-0, scored by you-know-who
The voodoo dice curse of losing the opening match of a tournament seems to have well and truly passed as Starblaydia beat Creedence Clearwater 1-0 with another resuce-effort goal from Simeone Di Bradini.
Eomer Hall, promoted to the starting-lineup for the first time, looked a little overawed by the match he found himself in, and was substituted on the hour for Ahmed Ol-wairain. Rene Griffiths, however, looked good between the sticks, something Rodriguez Da Silva will not be happy with.
Di Bradini's goal was, as per usual, not a simple one. With a lovely passing manouevre down the left, the ball was switched to the right, where Ceri Salisbury had all the space and time he needed to deliver the pin-point cross. The cross, unfortunately, was not great and Di Bradini needed to check back and perform an overhead kick to reach it. He did this brilliantly and the ball soared into the top-left corner past the ineffective dive of the Creedence Clearwater 'keeper.
"Fan Kills Ref With a Spear"
-Well into the second half, just a group of angered fans led to one fatal strike at Ref Mirc from Abysmalistan. After attacker Sach was going in for an attempt at his second goal in the game, he was taken down from behind in the box. The Ref decided to let it slide, but one fan did not. He began bellowing at the Ref and shouting curse words here and there. Mirc ignored him at first, but then decided to tell him the "Shut up, or leave". Well, Gary Amaro, which was this disturbed mans name, didn't really like that comment all that much. He happened to be carrying a spear with him. You're probably thinking..."Ummm yea sure...why the hell would he have that."Well, recent news in, the name "Gary" , actually means 'Spear carrier', so our thoughts are this guy got a little excited and decided to bring it to the game. Maybe he wanted to show it off to his buddies, or a Ref apparently :) . After things between Amaro and the Ref started to get nasty, the distranged fan threw the spear, not intending to kill him, but that was infact the result. The game was stopped obviously, and the man was taken out by the cops. When asked why he did such a thing, his response was.."Am I going to prison?...I didn't mean to kill him!..I was just upset with the call!" Umm yea...ok....we'll let you go for that. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:  He will be heard in court and will serve as many years given to him for this. After Mirc was cleaned up  , the game proceeded with only two Refs. There were no goals following the one made by Sach in the first half, and the game ended in a victory for Eystrck.-

.................Helmut Vilkaus' Vilita Jungle Cats stepped out for their first ever Eagle's Cup matchup knowing that this could be the tournament that secures their position among the Elite in the International game. Their group stage qualifying schedule containing a familiar name in friendly foes and regional neighbors Starblaydia. However, first on the table would be the 8th ranked Nation in the world, Total n Utter Insanity. Vilita had avoided the Insanacians since their inagural sporting competition, the 2nd Under-21 World Championships in Total n Utter Insanity. That is, until the most recent Under-21 World Championships where the Jungle Kitties met up with a youthful TnUI side, defeating them 2-0 in the Second Round with goals from Hluali Mijatos and Antonis Ratuva.
.................The match went into the half level after a late Belless goal cancelled out Enzo Ahat's 34th minute Header. Vilita made no changes at the half, but still came out with a head of steam. The Jungle Cats were surprisingly overpowering their Higher-Ranked opponents, an a break to the deadlock seemed inevitable. It came 10 minutes into the half when Jonathon Stott cut in from the right wing, fending off the Insane defense and cooly finishing to put his side in front. Stott was removed 10 minutes later in favor of Regional Super-Striker Serge DuPont, along with his fellow Strike FC and Melmond Invitational star, Umberto Melli, on for captain Santo Kecker. With Kecker off the field, it was fill-in Captain Jürgen Ramzi who stepped up to take a 25 yard free kick after DuPont was hauled down. Ramzi placed the kick perfectly around the wall and into the back of the net for just his second goal since the 4-2 World Cup qualifying Victory over Avenging Altos.
.................The Jungle Cats now have a leg up on the Insanacians in the fight to finish atop the Group 3 Table and a promising Second Round Draw. Total n Utter Insanity now face a tough test in Starblaydia, while the Jungle Cats will entertain the diminishing and Inactive Creedence Clearwater.

Vilkaus Supports N'Dumbu-Nsungu
---------------In a surprise move, Vilita Jungle Cats head coach Helmut Vilkaus has voiced his support for former Starblaydi striker Guylain N'Dumbu-Nsungu in his claim to succeeding Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux as Starblaydia National team manager. In a press conference, Vilkaus explained why he supported the 38 year old, and offerred some tips top the budding Coach.
---------------I've seen Guylain play many times, of course, he always looked to have a surreal knowledge for the game, and he would be invaluable to the Blades. Well, come to think of it, anyone would be better than that 7-Named-Dash-Filled thing they call coach now. Come to think of it, Guylain should change his name to Gizzy N'Dizzy, get rid of the stupid dash and since he's changing it make it something fun that the kids should enjoy, but thats just my opinion, no pressure. But seriously, the Blades couldnt even get more than a point from Kylaai in the Cup of Harmony, and lost every other game. If you're telling me the future of Football in Starblaydia has draws with Kylaai in it, then keep that No-Brained idiot. But if The Future of Starblaydi football wants to have an appearance in the World Cup Finals in it, then foshizzy yo gotsta get Gizzy N'Dizzy in the Hizzy.

In Reichsmarkia and everywhere else in Insane Inflation, people were enjoying the unexpected scoreless draw against Turori. Insane Inflation did anything possible to avoid a goal agasinst, which ment the tactic was not just pretty defensive, it was 10-0-0. A Karela Lines fan, who happened to watch this game said that they: "outdefended Karela!". Rumours that coach Ludwig Erhardt will coach this rejistanian club were neither demented nor confirmed.

Fo Shizzle Ma Nizzle
New Coach Waits in Wings, uh, Po Pizzle
A 3-0 demolition at the hands of the Insanicans may be the penultimate straw for embattled Manager Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux, or 'Jo-Pizzle Go-Rizzle' as Vilitans might know him as.
After a string of none-too-good results, the Coach now finds himself with just one match to prove his worth. Unfortunately this is against Vilita, the first international team Jean-Paul faced at senior level. Then, in World Cup 15, it was a brave 2-1 defeat. Today, in Eagle's Cup 3, Vilita top the group by a single point and are a massive thirty-something places above Starblaydia in the international rankings. Oh Dear.
A Brace of Braves move from Wapahkoneta
Trizzle... I mean Transfer News in Starblaydia
Two Wapahkoneta players have moved to the Starblaydi Alpha Division, in somewhat surprising moves.
National 'keeper Ationokonee, 29, has joined Up-and-comers Hallad Reavers from P'catewah Metequeghke, translated as Black Forest. He joins Sarzonian Youngster Emacio and Starblaydi heroes like Eomer Hall, the nine-goal scoring machine of U21WC5. The fee is believed to be short of a Million Credits, around US$1.2M
Short of a striker or two, Internashionale have snapped up 21 year-old Wesekahnee, the star of Wapahkoneta's embryonic national side. Around US$2.6M have come from Inter's coffers to Silverknife (known in Wapahkoneta as Moni Maanethi). Inter are also trying to sign Kingsford's Star-Striker Saturn Calcéte, who it is though would make a dream attacking line-up with Calcéte, Wesekahnee, de Souza Lima, Haldorsson, Vikerman and Benson. Now maybe they'd just need a few defenders and they'd take their first Alpha Title for around six years.

John Lewis - Knowingly Oversold
Despite Spurland's capitulation against the Celestials, the chairman of Tothampton FC will be one person happy with events that transpired.
Spurland's decision to play Krytenia-based John Lewis backfired dramatically as Lewis scored a peach of an own goal, overslicing a backpass and lobbing his own goalkeeper. Sub Acienko Rimmer grabbed a second goal two minutes into the second half in a game that ended two-nil.
Krytenia are now top of Group B, where even a one-nil defeat to Halfassedstates would see Krytenia through.

Insanicians catch Vilition Flu
TnUI players complained after their sorry 3-1 loss to Vilita of not being able to think straight, make decisions or reason. It seems they caught the same thing that made Vilita go out of U21WC4 with only 1 point.
“It’s a real disappointment for the lads. It was about time someone kicked Vilitas ass good, hopefully we will met ‘em later in this comp after we have had the vaccinations.”
Insanicians on the road to recovery
Unfortunately nobody told the Starblaydian team abut the Flu, this lead to the systematic destruction of the Starbabies. With a 3-0 lead going into the second half TnUI coasted along until the final whistle. The win leaves them in second, one third of the way through the group stage.

.................A 28th Minute goal by Jürgen Ramzi, his second in as many games as fill-in Captain for Santo Kecker, was not enough as the Jungle Cats were held to a 1-1 draw with lowly Creedence Clearwater. Coach Vilkaus expected more from his side, and introduced some youthful second half substitutions. 17 year old strike phenom Carmine Mbidzo came on at half time for Midfielder Umberto Melli. With 20 minutes to go, a double swap saw straight up substitutions of Danilo Liguori coming in from Esemar Aliana at the back, and 17 year old Makosile debutant Teariki Mané in for Jonathon Stott on the right wing. The substitutions could not get the Jungle Cats back in the game, and they now sit just 1 point ahead of Total n Utter Insanity in the Group 3 table.

Vilkaus set for Go-Rizzle exit
---------------Vilitan head coach Helmut Vilkaus has expressed his delight at being able to be the one resopnsible for the sacking of Starblaydian head coach Jean-Paul Reingeaux. It is believed that the long time Blades Manager will be sacked if he fails to win his next international match, after a dismal Cup of Harmony Campaign in which his team could only manage a single point to lowly Kylaai. It is believed that if Vilita win against Starblaydia, Go-Rizzle is Go-Gone and Gizzy N'Dizzy would take the helm.

The Isle have already signed Marasent Sioane from the cash strapped club who were eliminated from the Melmond Club competition by Vilita's own Strike FC. In addition to bringing in Sioane, The Isle have signed World Cup 16 Winning goalkeeper, Eauz's National #1 Michel Rousoi, Callum Banda's VIlitan Strike Partner German Salomon and Crystilakere's intense scoring defender, Filipo Ferraro

Rector Displeased With Final Result
"The Force just didn't bring their best game"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
****The beginning of the game led The Force to believe that this was going to be yet another victory for them. Sach and Redding were working beautifully together up front. They both had a few shots, but no luck. It wasn't that the goalie was just that good, it was that we just had no placement today. About twenty minutes in, Chu gets frusturated when he is beat, decides to illegally tackle the player, and ends up getting himself hurt. It was a total inappropriate play, especially coming from Chu. He rolled his ankle and had to ome out, Rector proceeded to sub in Ryan Shrit, who is normally a midfielder but came in as defense in this game. The Players began to get antsy, you could see it in their faces, and at the level of play they were demonstrating. The became very agressive, and were not playing their game. You could hear Rector yell in shock that this is how the game was coming along. However, the level of play did not stop. Throughout the second half, we just had a defensive game. There could have been a huge party in the eighteen, because that's where the whole team was during that half, protecting our goal. It was a very disappointing game, and ruined Eystrcks record of a six-game winnning streak. :headbang: ****

"The next game is going to be an interesting one. The team needs to learn that it is not going to be an easy ride in this years Eagles Cup. They must not let their egoes get to them. If this continues on, the coach is going to have to consider making some changes in the starting line up. :)"

Three hours before the match, a ship of refugees landed on the shores of Insane Inflation. Normally, even the most desperate among those simply decide to search for a better place, so Insane Inflation never had the need for an immigration policy. This time, someone of the refugees (whose problem only was that the ship was close to sinking) decided to stay in Insane Inflation. This person called himself Siki Rej and wanted to talk to the IIFA president. Since the police officer was curious about this apparently crazy person, he phoned the IIFA, then gave Siki Rej the phone. Calling his name had a strange effect on the person in the IIFA, he seemed to recognise the crazy refugee and directed him to the president without any further delays. After a short call, Siki Rej left in a taxi in direction to Reichsmarkia.
It is strange how far 3 communist dollars can bring you in Reichsmarkia, he thought the communist dollar was the weakest currency he ever saw, and here, three dollars were enough to bring you from Tolar Town to Reichsmarkia and directly to the IIFA headquarters. Here, the president of the IIFA, a grey person named Mer Kantil, wanted to talk to him directly. Mer Kantil was a grey man, not really old, but very much looking like a buerocrat. He wore a grey suit, had white hair and very pale skin. His voice was used to sound very boring and despite his utter excitement, a bit of that came through. "So you have found a way to defeat Cockbill Street?"
"I never talked about defeating them I said I know how to avoid a trashing..."
"Interesting, Mister Rej, what do you want for it?"
"Ten thousand trillion totally inflated yens and a flight to a developped country"
"Ten thousand trillion??"
"Yes, if possible in a foreign currency."
"ok, tell me your plan... if the score remains lower than 2:0, I will pay you."
Siki Rej and Mer Kantil talk for a while.
Coach Tito was not pleased to recieve direct tactical orders from Mer Kantil, especially not when they are rather confusing and lack all logic. But then he remembered that Hexatux was a math-logical device, so utter illogical tactics...
The match ended 0-0 after substitutions in the 1st minute, tactical changes and all kinds of funny incidents on the other side of the pitch where people tried to fix a Hexatux. Siki Rej however left Reichsmarkia by plane with a big backpack full of TIY.

"I Feel Fine"
Coach has had a Hard Day's Night, but SFA Let Him Be
With 10 minutes to go, and 1-0 down, Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux was in deep, deep trouble. The Magic Mystery Tour since the World Cup 15 Qualifiers was seemingly coming to an end. J-P turned to Ahmed Ol-wairain and said "Help!"
Left-back Salaam came off and Starblaydia played a 3-4-3 with Di Bradini, Hall and Ol-wairain, the three best strikers in the country, all trying to save the match and thereby J-P's job.
Ol-wairain, the Viltan League outcast, scored a brilliant, if somewhat undeserved, equaliser with only two minutes to go.
"I got by with a little help from my friends," said J-P afterwards."This isn't the greatest day in my managerial career, but when I'm sixty-four I'll look back on this day with some pride."
J-P could still lose his job, of course if Starblaydia Roll Over, Beethoven, but at least he's shut the Vilitan press up, for the moment.
Starblaydia 1 - 1 Vilita
Doesn't that just stick in your craw, all you Vilitans out there?

" For a team who has just shown itself for the first time in the past few tournaments, The Force can now say that they are qualified for future matches against any nation." :p
***This past match truly showed the teams determination and heart, and their ability to keep up with even the best teams in the world. After being told that Eauz is the defending world champions, Coach Rector was..hmmm....a tad nervous :) . Especially after the last game, he was afraid The Force was going to be slaughtered in front of their fans. However, it was the complete opposite. Coach Rector made sure that his team got the proper scolding, training, and motivation for this match. As soon as the game started, he could tell what he had done had been successful. Every player was at 100%. Even the outstanding offense of the opposing team was no match for our defense. Spadley and Chu would have dropped dead before having one of the offesemen invade their home. It would be pointless to name out more individuals who made outstanding play, because they all did. This was going to be our toughest team yet, but The Force held them down, and are very proud of themselves. Hopefully the next step will be to qualify for the medal rounds!!***

Chacor overrun by Jeruselem
It was a must win game for Jeruselem against Chacor, colony of Liverpool England. If they lost, they had little chance of making the next round. Punters had put money on Chacor continuing the miserable luck of Jeruselem with Eauz playing surprise packet Eystrck.
Chacor fans thought the motley team of younger Jeruselem world cup players and U21 rookees would fold and go home. In true Crusader spirit under the pressure of marauding enemies, Jeruselem fought back to deal Chacor a 2-0 loss. It was the same team as before but with a will to win under the circumstances. Chacor's midfield crumbled under the loss of possession and defense had to beat off eager young strikers who wanted to keep their hopes alive. Two late goals let in after the Chacor defense run out of puff sealed a vital win to Jeruselem.
Eauz was frustated with a 0-0 draw with Eystrck who seemed to lay a brick wall on the face of their goal.

The Eagles Cup III, Matchday 3
http://www.dirt-racing.com/3wide/sites/aofiles/rp/bar.gif
----------------The Vilita Jungle Cats were knocked off the top of the Group 3 Table on Eagle's Cup Matchday 3 after a dissapointing 1-1 draw with local rivals Starblaydia. The match keeps the Senior Series between the teams in favor of the Vilitans, after splitting their World Cup 15 qualifying matches, the Jungle Cats edged out Starblaydia in the IRC Friendly tournament. The draw is the first at this level between the teams, and comes at the best possible time for Blade Boss Jean-Paul Georges-Rinqeaux, who likely faced the axe if his team suffered another defeat
----------------All looked to be going well for Starblaydia, as the match went into half time level at 0-0. Many of the Vilitan faithful chanted "BANDA! BANDA! BANDA!" in hopes that their All-Time top scorer would come on to break the deadlock, but all they got was Jonathon Baledrokadroka, Banda's Marine Coast United teammate came out of the dugout with the squad while Calaesa Mitaroka, who had started, went to the dugout. They were pleased however, with the introduction of Umberto Melli on 67 minutes, with coach Helmut Vilkaus realizing he needed a bit more organization if his team were to score, Defensive minded Giacomo Adika was the player coming off. Melli's introduction would prove crucial, as his first touch resulted in a nifty lob pass which Hluali Mijatos was able to control then blast past his Vilitan Stellar Division foe, Eastal Lunar's Starblaydi Goalkeeper Rene Griffiths. The Vilitan faithful stood proud and chanted songs of happiness, as it looked as if their side would be going into the second half of the Group Stage on top of the table.
----------------However, things turned for the worse just minutes from time when Vilitan league reject Ahmed Ol-Wairain undeservedly beat Vilitan keeper Jimmy Kater against the run of play as stoppage time approached. The Jungle Cats threw everything they had back at Starblaydia, with Carmine Mbidzo smashing on effort off the keepers right hand post on the last kick of the game, before Wapahkonetan referee Tukkushenri, in his first match as a recognized senior official, signaled the end of the match.

Two points Between Three Teams, Two games Left
Total n Utter Insanity spreads to Group Table, according to Hosts
By 'Crazy' Ivan , the 'Mad' Starblaydi Sports Journalist
As Mikael Tissot scored his second goal for his country, with Simeone Di Bradini registering his thirteenth, Starblaydia looked to have taken all siz points in their two matches against Creedence Clearwater.
However, poor substitutions, sloppy defending and just plain old bad luck heralded two Creedence Clearwater goals and the loss of two very useful points that would have meant Starblaydia move above Vilita by a point, level with the Insanicans.
But no, Starblaydia had to throw it all away once more. Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux really is starting to get on my nerves, personally. And I'm the darn sports-writer! If I can't stand him, how the hell am I meant to report objectively on the matches! How?!
Bloody French ancestry, I ask you...
Editor's Note: Not only are the Views expressed by 'Crazy' Ivan not necessarily the same as those of the Jhanna Chronicle, but also The Men in White coats came to take Ivan away, and note that he is no longer 'Crazy' or 'Mad', but seriously Mentally Disturbed, and should not be derided for his condition, brought on by trying to figure out how Starblaydia only drew.
...the freak.
Le Libre would like to apologize for not providing information about this cup, due to, the writer of Les Bleus was out and about...
So far, Les Bleus have faired well in their group, despite being in a very simple group for them. Les Bleus started off well with 2 straight victories against Jeruselem and Chacor, but were surprised by a 0 - 0 tie to Eystrck. They started the 2nd half of group stages off just as they did the first half getting a 1 - 0 victory over Chacor...
Summary below:
Les Bleus were back playing in The Eagles Nest, where they last beat the Nest's national team getting the 3rd place in World Cup 15. The match started off well as Les Bleus were attacking early. They controlled the ball for the majority of the first half, keeping it in the Chacor zone. Unfortunately, the early attacks brought very little. Les Bleus got 8 shots on the Chacor keeper, which resulted in zero goals. Eauz fans though are not surprised by the low scores Les Bleus have played, as the majority of the stars in the World Cup 16 team were not playing on the team. The second half brought about very little from Chacor as the Eauz defense dominated throughout the match. The whole match, Chacor got 3 shots on goal, which were all stopped by Rousoi, who was back from the problems of WCXVI. Les Bleus though found the first goal of the match as they were given a corner kick, which went into the pack of players in front of the net. Gerold, an Eauz mid-fielder headed the ball towards the net, as it found its way into the net. Eauz went up 1 - 0 and let the amazing defense do the rest. Eauz would go onto the 1 - 0 victory and increase their win total to 3.
Group D
Pos Team P W D L F A GD Pts
1 Eauz 4 3 1 0 4 1 3 10
2 Eystrck 4 1 3 0 3 2 1 6
3 Jeruselem 4 1 1 2 5 5 0 4
4 Chacor 4 0 1 3 0 4 -4 1
Currently, Eauz is placed first in their group with 10 points, and no real challenger in the group, aside from Eystrck who has surprisingly played well during the cup. An Eauz victory or tie against Jeruselem in the next match will secure Eauz a position in the next round.

The Vilitan Leader, taking a surprising interest in his Nations & Allies performance in the Eagles Cup, met with the head of memories and thoughts in Eystrck.
VI: Well, yet another draw for my team, 2-2 with Total n Utter Insanity
EY: Oh yea? I hadn't seen that, our match against Jeruselem is about to kick off.
VI: Best of luck in that, did you see Turori won 3-0 in Group A this morning?
EY: Nope, didn't see that either, I've actually been out training myself, getting ready for the local season here, I play for the Blue Dragons.
VI: Really? What position?
EY: All around really, wherever the coach throws me. We're going to have it tough this year though, we won promotion last year but now a lot of our top players are out injured.
VI: That's true, it could be tough, but I think you'll do just fine, let me know when your games are maybe I'll swing by and see one of them sometime.
EY: Sure thing.
VI: That was a pretty impressive draw you had against Eauz, the defending world champions, what did you think about that?
EY: I was very happy with that, I really thought we were going to get crushed, although I wish that Eauz had put a bit more interest into the match. :(
VI: Yea, well that happens I guess. Just like in the olympics, you see all those supposedly world class athlets stop running 15 meters before the finish line, while the little guys are back there giving their heart out. Well hopefully you can come out on the good side of this one.
EY: I hope so too, that would be really exciting.
VI: So what do you think of Vilita's chances of qualifying from Group C?
EY: I really don't know enough about the other teams to tell you much about that, your better off asking someone else :)
VI: Well, lets just hope that that new equipment we sent to your nation pays off in your last 3 matches.
EY: Yes! Lets Hope! I meant to thank you for that! It's been very helpful and we would welcome anything else you can spare! ;)
VI: I'll see what I can do.

DRUIDS STREETS AHEAD OF THE REST
Björn-Trevor Frederiksson on Cockbill Street 1 NEWI Cefn Druids 4
One of the best Druid performances ever was seen in The Eagles Nest last night, as they thrashed a seemingly good Cockbill Street side by four goals to one.
The tournament had shown a solid yet unspectacular start by the Druids, with a win and two draws in their opening three games. But then this ageing Druids side, many of whom making their international swansongs at this tournament, really showed what they were made of here.
The squad is unchanged from World Cup 16, with managers Trevor Kallins and Simon Greaves deciding to give their World Cup heroes a proper chance to say goodbye to their adoring fans back home. In this match, they certainly did it, with five players in their final tournament scoring. However, the first one to do so, Trevor Phillipson, scored in the wrong goal. Not big, not clever.
But then the Druids turned it around. Belmore struck a typical poachers goal, followed by three goals that were pretty crap, but goals are goals, and there can be no complaints about the result. The Streeters defended atrociously, often bringing Druids fans in the crowd into riotous laughter. Which, considering the quality of some of the football they've watched over the years, is really saying something.
So 4-1, then, and the Druids unbeaten run continues to four games, which can't be bad. Turori are next, a team which the Druids have played a lot without ever losing. So expect this to be the first time. This is The Eagles Cup, we've come to expect the unexpected.

Eauz go thru as Jeruselem hold Eystck
Eauz won their third game to be undefeated while Jeruselem drew 2-2 with Eystck in a struggle for the 2nd qualifying spot. This game was very important as both teams are still in contention to follow Eauz. The Eystck with it's tough defense facing a potent Jeruselem attack neutralised each other as the leaky Jeruselem defense enabled Eystck to score twice. The Estck defense also broke with Jeruselem putting in two goals.
With games against Eauz and Chacor, Jeruselem need to win both with hoping Eystck self-destruct.

Insane National Team loses against Turori
Insane Inflation is no country in which sport is popular... well, it was but then the professional clubs could no longer aford the 14 digit wages (per day) and it became unpopular. The remaints of the national team played against the Turori Eels yesterday and were mercilessly trashed by 0:3. The description as eels was maybe a good one seeing how they weaseled out of dangerous situations and past he Insanian defense. You can not stop an eel in the water and you could not stop the Eels from scoring. After being outplayed easily in 10 minutes, the Eels concentrated on defending - and on laughing about Insane Ineptness.

HP: Close. Anyway, I found the mistake. As a goodbye gift, he shifted every player's record one step to the right. Thus Hexatux have thought that Rikki Stone is zo'gizh'poth...
TA: He is...
HP: Surely not that bad. And he also thinks Robert Stubbings is a clone of Tungsten-carbide.
TA: Uth'gah'nih! Is there no way to stop this man?
HP: Well, I've installed an external-break-in-stopping-device to assure that he won't come and get it from this banana republic where he's supposed to be staying.
TA: That's good. So can you fix this...what do you call it?
HP: IDD. Internal database disorder. It's very simple, I just need to do some workings on the database. It will work for the next match.
TA: It will better. Otherwise...gru'uth ath'hari'rugh kragh'tuith!

Bring it Home, Boys!
The people of Creedence Clearwater can be really proud of the performances shown by our team at the Third Eagles Cup.
They have come away with draws against Vilita and Starblaydia. Another draw and we will have not lost more games than half.
We could have done better, Perhaps that big success in world cup 15 caused too much complacency? Hopefully we can avoid a loss against Total n Utter Insanity
So, all that's left to say is: Good Luck everyone in the next round!

Loss to Insanicans denies Starblaydia Qualification
J-P to resign after Vilita Match
"I'm just not having fun anymore," said Starblaydi National Manager Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux, "its all about results, now, rather than the spirit of the game. It's just not fun anymore."
J-P may not be having fun, but it seemed that J.J. Stark was. Fresh from his transfer to Cockbill Street he was looking much happier as he stepped off the team bus. It showed in his play, too, as he ran at defenders with glee and abandon, usually getting the better of them.
One such run ended up at the penalty spot and all he had to do was stab at the ball and Starblaydia had scored. They were three-nil down at the time, but that didn't matter. J-P jumped up with delight as the crowd wished J.J. well.
Simeone Di Bradini, on the other hand, didn't get such a good reception. The travelling Iskara Daii fan contingent were divided over his transfer, even after the game:
"He's just become a mercenary to money," said one, a traitor, he is."
"That's stupid," remarked another fan with a lot fewer tatoos than the first, "he's won everything there is to win in Starblaydia three times over, now he's at the peak of his game he can go and win other things in better leagues."
"Plus he's earned the Daii forty-million." Another fan commented. "I'm disappointed ot see him leave but how can you turn down Alan Belmore's old shirt?"
No-one, on the other hand, seemed to care about SDB's little brother moving to PARANOiA. But, as for the rest of the Starblaydi-Insanican match, the Insanicans scored a fourth, but Starblaydia got a second.
Ceri Salisbury totally whipped a beautiful right-footed free-kick into the back of the Insanican net after Eomer Hall was utterly shoved over by the Insanican defence. This was his and J.J.'s second goal each for their country. Good luck to all Starblaydis playing abroad!

The Eagles Cup III, Matchday 5
http://www.dirt-racing.com/3wide/sites/aofiles/rp/bar.gif
----------------Many Vilita Jungle Cats National players were omitted from the squad that faced Creedence Clearwater in the Eagles Cup, requesting instead to Return to Vilita for the Annual Tropical Trophy which is played between the Winners of the League and Vilitan Cup from the previous season. As is becoming regular, The league champions, Yeadding Owls AFC, faced off against the Cup winners, Marine Coast United. This meant disaster for the Jungle Cats however, who lost over half of their regular lineup. This included Starting Defenders Danilo Liguori, Enzo Ahat and Giacomo Adika, Starting Midfielders Jonathon Baledrokadroka, Jonathon Stott, Calaesa Mitaroka and Jurgen Ramzi, as well as All time Top Scorer, Callum Banda. Also missing out would be Second-String Vilitans, Goalkeepers Bryan 'Pop' Duiker and Rory Issah, Defenders Sibusiso Azaiez, Elekim Cairns and Matteo Ollirg, Midfielders Christian Dogbe, Nigel Chapman and Baron O'Toole, and Attackers Jim Vella and Jan Christiansen. These Omissions left the Jungle Cats very thin in selection.
----------------However, Tanner Nerni got the ball rolling early, breaking in off the right for his first senior-level goal just 2 minutes into the match. After a halftime substitution that saw Marasent Sioane give way to Malovar Stokks, Carmine Mbidzo added his name to the list of Senior Vilitan goalscorers, in what promises to be the first of many at this level. The match began to drag along, and the inexperience in the Vilitan lineup shown through 15 minutes from time when Creedence Clearwater pulled one back, but it was not enough as the Jungle Cats held on to their lead.
----------------Back in Vilita, The Tropical Trophy became a bit of a showdown between the top two teams in the nation. Marine Coast scored early through Baron O'Toole after Duiker was unable to control an effort by Banda. Banda's influence in the game soon magnified however, after a petty arguement with Nigel Chapman earned the Vilitan Top-Scorer an Un-Deserved Red Card. Marine fought through it however, and Christian Dogbe set up Non-International Kwame Tchami who was able to double the lead despite having just 10 men. Jan Christiansen finally put the owls on the board just before half time, and Marine Coast led 2-1 at the half.
----------------Yeaddin finally levelled the scores on the hour mark after Rory Issah spilled a Chapman shot, and that goal opened the gates for the Owls. Jonathon Stott quickly took control of the ball on the restart, and after finding loads of space, put a ball into the box that Turorian Icon Akamoari Liano had no trouble dishing into the back of the net. Liano put a sealer on the game just minutes later after out-jumping Marine's Danilo Liguori on a 30 yard Free Kick taking by Calaesa Mitaroka. The game was marred by conflict as Jan Christiansen and Sibusiso Azaiez were both sent off in the closing stages, leaving just 19 players on the field to celebrate, or sulk in Yeaddin Owls first ever triumph in the Tropical Trophy.

Vilita prepare for G-Ring Finale
----------------The Vilita Jungle Cats will be well prepared going into their final match against Starblaydia, hoping to give Starblaydi National Manager Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux a miserable sending off in his last match as Starblaydi Coach. The hated foe of Vilitan Faithful and Staff alike has announced that the Vilitan match will be his last with Starblaydia, after his team failed to qualify for the Next Round in the Eagles Cup. The Jungle Cats, however, have clinched their place in the next round, and only Matchday Six seperates them from knowing their opponents.
----------------No matter the outcome, Vilita will have a high-profile match on their hands. If they remain in their current second place standing in the group, then they will clash head to head with defending World Cup Champions Eauz in what would be the first ever meeting between the two sides. However, if Vilita can pick up more points on the day than Total n Utter Insanity, then the Jungle Cats could square off against their closest allies in the Atlantian Oceania region, The Free Land of Eystrck. This however, would require the Insanacians to drop points at Creedence Clearwater, a team that Vilita drew on Matchday 2, and barely scraped by on Matchday Five.

Strange Results Put Starblaydia at bottom of Group C
Georges-Ringeaux walks as 7-year career Begins and Ends with Defeat to Vilita
The World Cup 17 Qualifiers will be Starblaydia's third attempt to break into an elite club competition of 32 footballing nations attempting, like my momma always said, to knock you out. For Stefan Haldorsson, David Benson and Paul Cole, it will also be their third World Cup Qualifying Campaign, though one spent more on the bench than on the pitch.
For Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux, however, it will merely be something to watch on TV. A four-nil defeat to Vilita yesterday was not the way he, the fans, the players or any sporting journalist would have wanted his time at the helm to end. Anything as good as a two-one defeat or better would have showed that J-P kept pace with his Vilitan rival but, ultimately, J-P didn't take Starblaydi football as far as the Vilitan Coach did and so has decided to step down from managing his beloved national team.
"It just wasn't fun anymore," said an emotional Jean-Paul, "I had fans of other nations hating me, for god's sake. That's not what I love about football."
Tonight at 8 o'clock on SCB Sports we will be showing a special programme, "J-P: A Manager's Story", a look-back over the seven years of Georges-Ringeaux's reign over Starblaydi Football. Now, to all the Group C news from the Third Eagle's Cup, its Trey with Block and Tackle
"Hello, Sports Fans and welcome to Block and Tackle, the nation's number-one sports show.
"A four-nil loss to Vilita was coupled with a surprse Creedence Clearwater win over the Insanicans to mean Starblaydia finish at the bottom of Group C on goal difference, with five points. Here's the final standings:"

"Starblaydia's young defence has conceded fourteen goals in this tournament, which doesn't look good for Eastal Lunar 'keeper Rene Griffiths, who is not expected to continue between the sticks for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
"All in all this has been another bad tournament for Starblaydia, not leaving much room for hope, at the moment. A nice draw followed by a good string of results in the Qualifiers next year will be the only possible tonic for Starblaydi football fans. Though from this update, I'm Trey Pickworth, for SCB News."

Eauz end campaign but Chacor cops rebound
Top seeded Eauz ended Jeruselem's slim hope to make the next round after losing 2-1 but Chacor got flattened 3-0 by Jeruselem to stay last in Group D. Eystck joined Eauz in the next round.
Chacor who have not won a game and after the disappointment of losing 2-1 to invincible Eauz, expected Jeruselem to be tame as kittens. They were wrong and lost again after their previous loss 2-0 to Jeruselem. In the end, Jeruselem were only 2 points behind Eystrck.
Team captain James Stuart said "Eauz is my tip to win. They'll need to try to lose if anyone wants to beat them".
Eystrck Advances to the Quarter-Finals :D
Eystrck 1 Chacor 0
Even though it was hopefully expected that Eystrck would defeat this team, Chacor gave us a good competitive match. The score remained tied throughout the entire first half and most of the second. Despite the fact that most of the game was held in their half of the field, even our best attackers could'nt quite get ther right shot off. Their defense was holding us down real well, untill about the 82nd minute in. Sach was coming off a fast break when he dropped a though-ball off to Redding who then had a one v. one against their goalie. He finished it by faking him out and then placing it nicely low into the left corner. The rest of the game was pretty much the same as the first half. We dominated their half of the field, resulting in another win to help us keep our ranks. Adding to that,With Jersuelem's 2-1 loss to Eauz, Eystrck have qualified for the Quarter Finals of the Eagle's Cup. :p Eystrck will finish second in the group to their next opponents, defending World Champions Eauz.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eystrck 2 Eauz 3
The match against Eauz, was probably one of the most intense matches Eystrck has seen. There was no expectations for this game. We had drawn the first match against them, but who cares..they are the defending World Champions!?!?!? If ANYTHING, we just expected our team to play up to the level they demonstrated in the last game against Eauz. Well, Rector can't say he was disappointed. The team held out for most of the game.It was very intense when it would be minutes between each goal. It was like ping-pong...they would score, then us. :fluffle: We really thought we had a nice chance. With Spradely injuring himself late in the game, and their incredible defensive ability, it was no wonder why this game showed to be one of our best.We stepped it up and hoped the score ( 3-2 ) would not hold out. However,Eauz's Goalkeeper Michel Rousoi from Vilitan club Turoki Isle saved a shot from Ramos with just minutes to play to deny Eystrck it's all-time unbeaten record.Eystrck still qualifies for the Quarter finals, and hope to re-live a great match with their close allies, the Vilitian Nation.

"I am reporter, the truth is my job"

"No, no! It never happened, it will never happen, it isn't hapening now!"
Les Bleus entered into the quarter final round of the Eagles Cup, leading with 16 points. The final 3 points though were not easy, as they had a tough time against Eystrck who has proven to be a bright up and coming team to look forward to in the World Cup. Les Bleus escaped the match with a 3 – 2 victory.
Les Bleus advanced to the quarters as they finally met some serious competition, with Total n Utter Insanity. Les Bleus have had some success against TnUI, and were looking to extend it. Rousoi was coming off of a tough mental match which saw him let in 2 easy goals. He along with the rest of the team was hoping for him to bounce back from this. At The Nesmian Bowl in The Nest, very few people showed up for the match, mainly in protest that Eauz has beaten the Nest’s national team 3 times out of 3 attempts. The majority of the fans were Eauz, as the recorded attendance was at 2,000 people. The referee blew his whistle and the match started. Eauz started off with the ball but did not keep it long, as the TnUI attackers stole the ball quickly, and brought it up field. Only 3 defence men were left to stop the attackers. The ball was passed around, and a quick shot was taken. It hooked around and into the net giving TnUI the lead. Eauz answered back though during the 20th minute as an attacker was pulled down in the penalty zone. Joseuf took the kick, and put it into the net tying the match at 1. Les Bleus didn’t stop there as they sent up another attack, which a long shot taken. It was stopped, but the keeper couldn’t hold onto it, and Villen got the rebound and scored the 2nd goal for Les Bleus. Just before the first half ended though, TnUI, on their 4th corner, scored off of a header by one of their forwards. Rousoi was upset at himself for the fact that in the past 2 days, he has given up 4 goals, compared to a total of 2 goals during the first 5 matches of the Eagle Cup. The two teams went to the lockers with a 2 – 2 tie.
In the second half though, Les Bleus opened up the lead, just after the whistle, Les Bleus scored their 3rd goal of the match, giving them a 3 – 2 lead. Les Bleus did not look back, with a combination of stellar defense and a late goal by Joseuf, Les Bleus won 4 – 2 against a tough competitor. The next match for Les Bleus will be against the winner of Krytenia/Turori. For Les Bleus, this will be an unknown match, no matter which team is victorious. Many experts expect Les Bleus to advance without much challenge to the final, and win, but one should not underestimate the fact that the current Eauz team is not the official team, which plays in the world cup. Most of the players on the team are bench players, or newbies combined with a few experienced players.

Slow Eels through Semis
-------------Turori Started out with a loss and a pair of draws to keep themselves quietly in the hunt for the Eagles Cup. After a dissapointing goalless affair with underdogs Insane Inflation, Turori 0 - 0 Insane Inflation, The Eels were downed by group favorites NEWI Cefn Druids. NEWI Cefn Druids 1 - 0 Turori. The Eels scored their first goal of the competition through Akamoari Liano, who rescued a point in the 31st minute against Cockbill Street. Turori 1 - 1 Cockbill Street. Surprising Kaboafo Iobabao, in his first ever start for the Senior side, had a dream debut, scoring a debutant hat trick inside Ten minutes to lead Turori over Insane Inflation for their first win of the competition. Insane Inflation 0 - 3 Turori . The win gave the Eels the momentum the needed to surpass group leaders NEWI Cefn Druids, in a match which would clinch a spot in the quarter finals for Turori in their first ever Eagle's Cup, Malaino Mumamba restoring a bit of his World Cup 15 magic just minutes in, before Jualiar Vumaou sent home an emphatic 74th minute winner. Turori 2 - 1 NEWI Cefn Druids. This win put the Eels 4 points clear of Cockbill Street with just one match to play, rendering the 1-0 loss to the street meaningless, and setting up a Semi-Final Tie with Krytenia. Cockbill Street 1 - 0 Turori.
Turori 2-1 Krytenia (AET)
-------------The Eels would meet up with regional rivals Krytenia in their first ever Eagles Cup Quarter Final match, after hearing word that Surprise package Eystrck had earlier knocked out Regional Founders Vilita, the Eels knew this was their chance to out-perform their neighbors and former holders for the first time in competition. Akamoari Liano again set the eels in front with a 37th minute strike, putting the Eels one goal up at half time. However, late in the second half Krytenia equalized setting up an extra time bonanza. just before the end of the first half of extra time, a Cuolia Tuirma free kick sent the Eels through to the Semi Finals of a competition for the first time since their were crowned Baptism of Fire Cup champions in the buildup to World Cup 15.

Eystrck Makes it to the Semi-Finals after a close victory against its allies..The Vilitian Nation!! :D
This game was one to remember for both the fans of Vilita and Eystrck. In the past few weeks, Vilita has been one of the few nations who has given Eystrck its full welcoming. :fluffle: With new equiptment, kind conversation, and helpful tips in the upcoming tournaments, Eystrck hoped they woulden't reach the point in competing for a title in the final rounds. :( However, the time arrived, as we both played eachother in the Quarter-finals. The game started off very nicely. Both the teams respected eachother and played very clean, and stuck to their normal game. By the twelfth one of the Jungle Cats most talented players, Callum Banda took a beautiful shot on Hustil to lead the game off in a one goal lead. It was a very close game up untill half time when Ayinde came in to tie up the game. We took the break to our advantage and challenged Jimmy Kater with multiple shots. With time running out, Sach finished it off in style, with a surperb goal that sent Eystrck into the Semi-finals. Playing Eystrck was a pleasure for us, and hopefully for them as well. They demonstrated the skill of a true soccer team, and it would be an honor to face them again in future tournaments. ;)

However, the Eels broke through in their Quarter Final matchup with World Champions Eauz, holding the Top Ranked side in the world for 75 minutes before Akamoari Liano stole in to give the North-East Vilitan Island Nation a one-way ticket to their second ever Cup Final. The first was a successful trip for the Eels, an Inagural 2-1 Baptism of Fire Cup victory over Ascensia. While Ascensia never Turned out to be the package that was predicted, The Eels can hold claim to lifting the Trophy over both Krytenia and Oaker, both World Cup 16 Finalists coming from the Same Baptism of Fire Cup.
-------------Now it is Turori's time to shine, after two close calls in World Cup Qualifying, the limelight is focused on the Eel's chance to propel themselves into the World's Elite, with a high profile match against Kingsford for the Cup after downing world Champions Eauz in the Semi Final.

Turori Fancy Final Appearance
-------------The Turori Football Association have announced that the Turori Eels will be stepping out on the field for their Eagle's Cup Final against Kingsford in a brand new kit, created by 3wide Designs (http://www.3wide.com) in Vilita for the Eels World Cup 17 Campaign. The Kit is a step away from their Colonial Neighbors, whom for the first time have been outperformed by the Island Emirate in a Senior Sporting Competition. A preview of the New Kits are available below.
-------------This will be the Third Meeting between Turori and Kingsford, the First two in Qualifying for World Cup 16. The Eels were downed 3-0 by Kingsford in the first match, after the failed Video Replay experiment backfired on Turori. However, they came back to draw 2-2 in the return match at the start of a run that would see the Eels only miss out on the Finals on Goal Differential to Wella.

Eels Steal Eagle's Cup
-------------The Turori Eels have stolen the Eagle's Cup Championship in their first attempt after a Penalty Shootout victory over Kingsford. Like the last meeting between the sides, the match ended level after 90 minutes. The 1-1 scoreline would not last, as each team knocked home an additional tally in the extra session, forcing the finale to an intense Penalty Kick Shootout.
The first 4 Kicks for both teams were good, before Linoi Niabula skied the ball over, looking certain doom for the Eels. However, Milauo Slietah came through, saving from Saturn Calcete, the Kingsfordite Legend with head in hands after blowing the chance to clinch the trophy for his team. The next two scorers for each side converted, before Tika Poloni put the Eels 7-6 up. It was up to Vilitan-Based Rieux d'Arderer who needed to score to keep his team in the game, but it was Milauo Slietah again the hero, bringing home the second Silverware for Turori in it's brief World Cup history.
