Harold Macmillian, British Prime Minister, sat in his office in the Admirality building. Number 10 was being refurbished, so he was stuck here.
He read his intelligence briefings. There was a unconfirmed report that the Soviet Union were building medium-range. missiles in Cuba.
"Right", he thought to himself, "I'll call John and tell him about this".
"Phillip!" he called down the corridor, "I need you to work this phone!"
(OOC: Macmillian was shot in the hand during World War I, which impaired his dexterity)
Philip came in and called up the President of the United States.
