Trade with the Free Republic

In accordance with the creation of the new Ministry of Foreign Trade the Free Republic is officially and publicly stating it's conditions for foreign trade.This communication is for all nations that wish to engage in peaceful trade with the Free Republic.

From: Minister of Foreign Trade, Ilek-Vaad

The Free Republic wishes to encourage commerce and trade between all nations that are like minded and believe in fair trade as we do in Ilek-Vaad. With a population of well over 3 billion Ilek-Vaad has many consumers eager for foreign products and produces many items that would be very valuable to foreign nations.

For foreign businesses to operate withing the Free Republic and to be eligible to ship products into the Free Republic they must meet the following minimum criteria:

1.) The factories that produce goods destined for Ilek-Vaad must meet the minimun enviromental and safety requirements as if that facility were in Ilek-Vaad and subject to Ilek-Vaad's safety and enviromental laws. Businesses that reside in countries that enforce similiar or stricter guidelines are exempted, so long as they can show proof that they meet their nations guidelines in accordance with applicable laws.

2.) Businesses that produce or ship goods to Ilek-Vaad must meet the minimum wages standards of Ilek-Vaad, adjusting of course for currency exchange rates. Currently minimum wage in Ilek-Vaad is 28,800 DR yearly (1DR=1.68USD)

3.) Businesses that produce or ship goods to Ilek-Vaad must be Union. The Unions must be seperate entities from government or business and must have legal collective bargaining rights and the right to legally strike.

4.) All goods and items shipped into Ilek-Vaad are assessed a 10-30% import tariff on the estimated value of the goods. The rate of the Tariff depends on the goods and the nation of origin.

High-Grade Bio-Diesel (made from soy)
High-Grade Ethanol (made from corn generally 110 octane)
Lumber Products (Ilek-Vaad engages in enviromentally sustainable logging)

Super Sonic Air Transports
Automobiles
Industrial vehicles
Industrial watercrat
Recreational watercraft

Information Technologies:

Computer Software
Networking Hardware
High End Computer and Server Hardware and Software


Agricultural Goods:

Corn and corn products
Soy and soy products
Olives and olive oils
Fish and Shell Fish
Livestock and meat products
Fertilizer
Cocoa beans/chocolate
Bannannas
Sweet Potatos
Coffee Beans






Military Equipment:* Nations must receive a permit from the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Trade to purchase Military Hardware.

Military Watercraft
Military Aircraft


Nations that agree with and adhere to our rules of fair-trade are encouraged to contact the Ministry of Foreign Trade to receive the proper inspections and permits.
