Alexander walked around on the palace terrace pondering thoughts on nations that Credonia has been in conflict with over the years. Austar Union came to mind and he took a deep breath.
"Damn, that was a great alliance. Cant believe they were so hasty to close relations and in such a way." he thinks to himself.
"I suppose i can initiate open relations. I wonder if an alliance can come out of it." he continued thinking befoe hastily turning around to walk back to the palace.
Once inside he headed for his office. He reached his desk, sat down and begain writing a letter.
From: Alexander Nicolas Sutton, President of the United States of Credonia
To: Edward Grove, President of the Federal Republic of Austar Union
Mr. President, I have been pondering relations between our two nations and I believe that relations have been closed betwen us for far too long. The events of the past were unfortunate and perhaps the actions of both of us were a bit hasty as neithr side understood the immense pressure that was exerted on each other, which caused the immediate ceasation of relations and a breaking of our long standing alliance, a symbol of power, democracy, and freedom, and one that shined brightly in the middle of the international community. We stood side by side for many many years and endured many many hardships together, we fought together, we planed and plotted together, and we reaped the benefits of a prosporus and very close relationship. Perhaps that could be rekindled to some extent. Therefore, with that being said, I invite you and your family and your cabinet to Credonia to open relations and talk about prospects for the future. We hope you are interested. I eagerly await your response.
Sincerely,
Alexander Nicolas Sutton
When finished, Alexander gave the letter to his assistant to be delivered to the President of Austar Union.
