Nagi Oraki was around 5"9 with angled short black hair with a red streak going through it. her eyes were a light violet, and her skin was tan. She had a tatoo on the back of her neck that looked like the sun sigil on Nikita.

She was dressed in a black shirt with cargo green pants. Both her hands were wrapped in black tape. She was the advanced combat instructor for this year. Seth had been their last year, however something must have happened to him, because he didn't return.

She stood in the A.C. room. Light filtered in from the japanese style walls, and she awaited her students.

Michael calmly walked in, noticing the rather...fit teacher. He politely bowed to her, wishing he was allowed to bring his revolvers to class, as the class description had seemed to included training with firearms, he idly remembered his training on the station back home, and how he hadn't been taught any hand to hand combat skills, which was the reason he decided to take this class in the first place. He was eager to learn, and to please the teacher.

James walked into the room. He was wearing baggy black pants and a black skintight shirt. His first class.

He saw Nagi and greeted her. "You're the instructor for this class, correct? My name is James Malakym, and I am signed up for this class."

Dirk walked into the class. He was wearing his combat fatigues, devoid of any symbol, spare for his lieutenant rank, a darkened 17th patch on his right sleeve, and a darkened Simatarian flag on the other. He walked in and smiled at Nagi. He took off his berea and sat down.

Joshua walked in in his normal jeans and a black shirt outfit. He looked around the room and smirked. Ah the turning point, he thought to himself as he felt the scar that Qui left in the second year. The near fatal one had Rave not been there to save him.

Nagi was different than other teachers, because she had a way of telling Qui to back off that no one else could do. But whether he listened or not varied. She greeted the students with a light smile. She seemed to be more casual than the other teachers, apart from McCloud of course.

"Alright, just to let you know, you should be wearing light weight clothing, if your not, go change now. We are going to go over basics, then conditioning at the end. Every class we will work on a different technique or weapon. Today you'll learn a basic mixture apart from weaponry. We don't use soft cushions or fluffy pillows to block any attack. You need to learn how to take a shot, no matter how great, cause it may save your life. I can tell you I can be shot three times in the stomach right now and still be able to end someone's life. I can tell that Joshua would be able to have a sword clean through him and live to tell. I can tell some of you hide behind rank. Rank means nothing in hear. I had defeated my sensai on the second day of class with him. There are just some things that can't be decided by it, and one of those things is spontinaity."

There were no desks in this classroom, only a floor with a bit of a hard padding over it. "I need every one to take a front stance, returning students take the front to help out the others."

Well, I don't hide behind rank Dirk thought. He took off his fatigues revealing hit grey PT t-shirt and shorts. The T-shirt having the 73rd's Red Dragon emblazoned on the front. Dirk got in line and took his front stance.

"Heh jsut about as fun as the time I had a metal rod in my gut," Joshua muttered as he streched slightly. He looked aorund and noted that this year might be a very easy time in the class. He hated anything easy and only loved things hard as hell.

"Alright. Let's see if you can keep up. Eight main blocks, eight counter strikes. Four for the right four for the left. For a one and two block, the counter is a front punch. For the three and four block, the counter is a backfist, for five and six its a thrust punch to the side near the floating ribs, seven and eight rolling back fist the the face. There are main strikes, front punch, thrust punch, rolling backfist, backfist, uppercut, sword, palm, as well as others. While i could go on, basics will only be on the first day. If you don't perfect them, it will affect your future classes. I want to hear a kiyai at the end of every counter. Each move should be solid and quick. Snap them so hard that your arms hurt. Run though them, eight seconds, go."

...maybe it wouldn't be easy.

Joshua smirked and squickly began running through them and selecting the ones he could do the quickest and a few more unique ones to Phalanix he pulled off. Only about 7 seconds later he had finished and was smirking. "To slow," he muttered.

Dirk went through as fast as he could and messed up. So, he went back and did it again, slowly step by step. He did it several times before he thought he got it right. Then he picked up the pace till he went as fast as he could. 11 seconds was his fastest run. Still can do better.

"You missed two blocks and counters Joshua," she said at the cocky young'in. "Faster, you're going to have to block and counter my strikes as well as other students...your going to have to do better. If you don't get it, do it slow once, and sharpen it up."

James had gotten them all down, just a little slow. 10 seconds. He'd have to practice on his own when this class was over. He hadn't fought anyone hand-to-hand in a while.

"I don't strike slow. I strike fast and go for the heart so if I miss one it's only because I'd have completed my objective in real combat," he replies. The only reason he still to AC was to help him with his rage and put it to something other than getting himself killed by Qui.

"Good," she said as she watched them. She gave people various suggestions according to their progress. "Keep your centerline straight. Bend your knees just enough. It helps you balance. Never lock out your knees. Your legs are the only things keeping you on the ground, they are your roots. Allright. Lets move on to something else."

As she spoke she demonstrated. She really had amazing flexibility. "Start with a round house. Then try cresent, and reverse cresent. Then side, back, and front. Next combine them. Cresent, front, reverse cresent side, then a round house to a back. You need a lot of strength in your legs to do this. After your done...switch sides."

Dirk once again went through the steps slowly at first before slowly picking up the pace. He noticed most of his classmates were picking it up fairly quickly. He hadn't done anything like this since he did karate in elementary school. His only expericane in hand-to-hand was some use with a knife or punching. That wasn't his job, his was to command a platoon and get the men where they need to be safely. He went through the moves quickly, but when his foot swung in the air, he lost his balance and nearly fell over. Grace skipped a generation in my family, skipped right over me. He thought to himself. He started again.

Joshua sighed for a moment and thought to himself before he began what was instructed. Christ this is basic stuff. I've been learning this stuff since I was fourteen.

"Alright, moving on to combinations. Ever want to rip someones throat out? It's a tiger technique, starting with a #2 block with the left hand for a right punch. Push it out of the way and keep that hand down. Use your right to rake down upon the face. Cross over bringing the right down to your hip and your left raking up. Leaving that hand there , throw a palm to the nose simultaneously using your left hand to grip around the wind pipe. The grip is called tiger's mouth. It's important to do this at the same time because of the complimentary movement. One hand is going forward, one is pulling back. Then, with a kiyai, pull both hands back. It's important you don't practice the last part on your peers, because i can't sew anyone's throat back in. Try it."

OOC: Sorry for being late, I completely missed this thread. Instead of a dramatic late entrance, we'll just assume Skadi has been there the whole time.

IC: Skadi had never learned any form of combat or martial arts in her long life. She had always battled on instinct, taking advantage of her extreme strength and speed. Dark trench coat laying in the corner, Skadi wore a skin tight black t-shirt and black leather pants. The contrast was extreme between her white skin and the dark clothes.

Even without any prior experience, she had found these basic moves quite easy and once grasping the actions, had performed them at speeds faster than any human could comprehend. Years of battle had left her quite agile, enabling Skadi to perform complex combiations of roundhouse and crescent kicks. Upon her landing, Skadi wobbled slightly to the left. It had been a few years since her last real fight, she would have to perfect her skills once again.

Dirk was behind Skadi and marveled at not only how fast she moved, but also how sexy she looked in her clothes. My God she has quite a body.

Dirk went through step by step the tiger technique. This was very new to him. His hand to hand combat skills would get him at most a green belt at a karate academy. He found the class enjoyable, learning new things he would take back with him and teach his fellow officers and paratroopers. He remebered what Colonel Rhodes had told him about possibly getting a transfer to the Rangers, Delta, or one of the other Special Forces groups. This would be extremly useful but, being very mild mannered he would have little use of this move. Unless he wanted to intimadate some leg officer.
