Copiosa Scotia

Reporters from across Copiosa Scotia had gathered in the Republic House Press room to witness the official reaction to the devastating attacks on the United States of Allanea, and as Sophia Kahler, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, took the podium, a hush fell over the room. Kahler unfolded a paper, setting it on the lectern, and began to read. She stood still, not looking up at the cameras, scarcely altering the tone of her voice from word to word.
"A grave injustice has been committed against the innocent and..." she paused, put her hand to her mouth briefly, and then continued, "innocent and peaceful Allanean people. Several hours ago, the Queendom of Zero-One concluded an ortillery bombardment that destroyed virtually all of Allanea's military, industrial, and trade infrastructure and killed countless civilians, many of them innocent.
"Such attacks are clearly an example of the imperialistic Queendom's intent to force its will on piece of..." she cleared her throat, "I'm sorry, peaceful nations such as Allanea, and as a free nation, Copiosa Scotia must stand against such acts of coercion. And so, we offer a warning: Should the Queendom of Zero-One continue along this reckless, warmongering path, we may be forced to take non-specific action.
"Thank you."
Kahler stepped down from the podium quickly, brushing off questions as she made her way past the crush of reporters to the exit at the back of the room. Andrew Kane, Secretary of Security, Enforcement, and Defense was waiting at the door, and fell into step beside her.
"Quite a performance, Ms. Kahler. Have you considered stand-up? You had me in stitches. I'm glad those cameras weren't pointed at me. Wouldn't have looked too good, no."
"Oh, shut up," she retorted. "I knew you'd be laughing your head off. It's why I didn't look up. If I'd seen you laughing, I probably would have lost it." She shook her head. "I need a drink."
