The glass shattered. A single pane turning into shards in less than the blink of an eye, he smiled at the irony, shattering, just like his life had..
He stepped through the now empty pane and looked around.
The soft blue corridor was featureless, save for the broken glass now strewn on the floor. A small red glow, no larger than a coat button flickered on and off, shining through the blue. On,off,on,off. He tilted his head and looked at it curiously, like a child.
The hiss to his left of him didn't stir his attention from the light.
"S'ok laddie, s'ok, just come with me..."
The man in the blue uniform slowly approached him, he could sense his presence.
The needle full of sedatives glistened, Harry sighed, he had been on this job for three years, and a breakout of some sort was always garunteed.
He moved closer to subject #0213, the number clearly labelled on the back of the Nylon shirt.
Simple enough, Two second job, again...
He swung the needle towards the key point in the subject's shoulder, but it stopped in mid-air, the subject turned and looked at the needle, then at Harry, he looked at the needle again and watched a single drop fall to the ground, it splashed, a drop of green on the perfect blue. Subject #0213's deep grey eyes looked up and merely flicked to the left. Harry was flung against the wall, several ribs cracking loudly, a loud audiable snap over the deafening silence. #0213 looked at the wheezing, broken man and picked up the needle he was carrying. The wheezing had stopped, he merely looked, then turned slowly and ambled out of the corridor.
