Patrick Greene pulled back the pump on his sawed-off shotgun and tucked it into the folds of a trench coat. He thrust open the rickety, chipped screen door, so hard that the spring on it snapped. He knew it wouldn't matter. He knew he would never see his house again. Patrick Greene was a former private in his nation's army. He was stuck behind enemy lines when his division pulled out in retreat and was taken prisoner for three years until a nearby rebellion erupted, overthrowing the dictatorship ruling them and freeing all prisoners from all prisons. Patrick returned to his family, but the world seemed hollow. He traveled around the world to find a place to settle down, and brought his wife and two sons with him. He found a bustling suburb in Monumenta and bought a rickety house, which he worked on for the next three years, but never seemed to make any progress. With a touch of sadness, he realized now that he would never get to fix the place up. There was no turning back now. He had to try a few times on the sputtering ignition, but the tires eventually moved and he sped along a gravel road into the square of a nearby, bustling city. You see, Patrick Greene is a black Muslim. Recently, the Monumenta government forced all citizens to adopt Christianity. He was about to give his life in an attack on the new Great Satan. And he knew he would meet his maker doing so. (OOC: Feel free to make up a character- passerby on the street, nearby police officer, whatever.)
