Completed orbital segment, system 14b- "I'll get my coat"

The large star blazed down on the completed orbital segment, a valley independent in space. It was nothing but a black silhoette to the ships that were approaching it. The star system was the perfect place to hide the orbital. No-one suspects that Jordaxia has the power to move an object this large into position, so anyone wanting to attack would not know where to begin. The huge engines underneath the orbital couldn't move the mass at any great speeds, but they weren't expected to. In the recently added geography to the area, there is a large complex with a mountain built beside it. With what happened in there, it was to keep what was inside from getting outside. In that complex, things where not always as they seemed. Very few people even knew of the existence of the complex, automated systems working everything bar the purely scientific equipment. The two escort craft approaching them weren't even aware of it, as far as they knew, they were dropping off equipment for the mainframe to appropriate as it saw fit, and were picking up some other pilots who accompanied the orbital on its 5 month long voyage. Inside the complex, pristeen corridors and polished plastic floors gave it a clinical look. It wasn't far wrong from the truth, either. Power failures were more common than were expected, but there was no official reason other than that. The above world was agriculturally perfect. Designed to represent an Earth "eden", it was constant with a background noise, either the bubble of a stream, or a flock of birds, still confused by their incomplete world. Other sections would be more modular, for catering to alien species. The lights flickered off and on again. Those lying on the ground may have felt a rumble as a huge subterranean train went past underneath.

In the complex, there was a vast amount of activity. OEM-12 was showing remarkable progress. Energy storage capacity had risen 1300%, and this was before the final phase. If the final phase was a success, who knows what they could create. If it failed, just a troop that was difficult to electrocute. Hardly a breakthrough at all. The Avatar had been created previously, just waiting to be given life.
The procedure was simple, in theory. Using the increased energy capacity of the avatar to store large quantities of electrical energy inside the body, combined with other breakthroughs the scientists had discovered (psionics, advanced surgical and cognitive neurites, superminiaturised gridshielding technology), that was unknown elsewhere in the Empire, the body could be disjoined from the universe, shifted out of phase. It had the potential to make him invincible. A soldier capable of destroying battlefleets in no time. They had recieved near unlimited funding from the government, but they were wanting something to show for it. Now was the time. A secure link had been designed over the past few months to guarantee that this wouldn't be seen by anyone who didn't want to. in the padshahs personal quarters, the signal came through. Sound only at first, then a low resolution image of the white labs. It cleared up, and a few display readings of vital signs of the new body appeared. The head scientist, a moderately young Japanese-ethnic man with dark hair, two discoloured retinas, which, the Padshah was told was because of a neurite HUD interface that allowed him to oversee the entire procedure from a safe distance. Technology used so casually troubled the padshah. He never liked to see anyone reliant upon imperfect machinery. The scientist introduced himself as Jitsu Mu, and the padshah smiled at how ironic his name was. "Actualising the mist. His name seems almost chosen for him before he lived." He focused on the TV, and listened to What Jitsu had to say.Jitsu, who had been speaking whilst padshah thought, continued." And, we can see, through application the techniques that I have just informed you of, this procedure can be accomplished with minimal difficulty, though due to this being the first time this has been done, I anticipate a 30-40% chance of complete success. Procedures like this often take some time to be refined perfectly."
The Padshah nodded along to Jitsu, pretending that he had heard from the beginning. He didn't want to look at Jitsu any longer, and would rather he never had to sit through this at all.
"Padshah?" Jitsu asked.
"Yes?" the Padshah responded slowly, lost in thought.
"Before we continue, we'd like to recieve your blessing for success on this. It's not often we get the Padshah himself watching, so we're a little nervous."
"Of course you have my blessings." Yang-Chen responded. "Please continue. I am anxious to see the results of your labours."
"Very well, Padshah." Jitsu turned away, and began to press buttons into the console nearest him. The lights in the centre of the room turned on, and a circular section of the floor lowered, then moved out of the way. Freezing gas rose into the room, along with a metallic grey metal board, roughly 1 metre wide, and 2.5 metres high. It swivelled to reveal a body, eyes closed, ignorant to the cold. two electrodes lowered from the ceiling, fronts sharpened. They began to spin, and impacted with the body, drilling inside. The high pitched whine became muffled, as they embedded themselves further into his shoulders, then they stopped. A voice from off screen said "electrode insertion complete. Moving onto stage two."
Another sound came into the room, deep at first, gaining in pitch until it was higher than the electrode drills. The same voice said "Capacitor fully charged, beginning power insertion sequence in 3... 2... 1... Power insertion commencing."
The body juddered as hundreds of amps were pumped into it. The amount of current that would have turned a human to dust was having the same effect as a major, but not fatal, standard electric shock. The heart and other major organs sprung to life, beating three times the norm, then the readings became fuzzy. Jitsu shouted "It's working! the body is slipping out of phase! Continue the current, we can't give up now."
Slowly, white glowing lines appeared across his completely black body, like tears on a night sky. Suddenly, all of the sensor readings leapt off the scale. The white lines exploded over the body, covering it all like a star. The emergency shut down systems came into play, the electrodes flying out of his back, making a sickening bone crunching noise. The lights flared, then went out completely. the emergency lighting came on, a dull red glow replacing the clean white light before it. All of the computers had gone out also, and the transmission to the Padshah had been lost. Jitsu hoped it was lost before everything went drastically wrong, to make explanations easier, but he doubted it was the case. the doors opened slowly, and, dejected for now, everyone left.Slowly, the bodies eyes opened, pale and bright in the red of the laboratory. Before the energy had stopped, he had recieved vast amounts of information from the computers mainframe. Libraries of information assembled in his mind, perfectly ordered. Lightning fast, he scanned through the data, learning human history from the ground up. Slowly, his eyes brightened further, tears began to open again in his skin. The hair rose on his head, electricity arcing through it, holding it there. Order began to form from chaos. He reached the computers more basic functions, files and folders of everyone who worked there listing itself in his mind. Inside, nothing. No information was to be had about where he was. The room was at odds with every architecture loaded into his brain, chaos returned, rending pain into his head as he tried to sort it. No good. He stumbled towards the door, obediently opening, down the corridors of the laboratory. After a while, his brain ajusted to his surroundings, though they still made no sense. He opened a door into a large room, and seen several people eating by the tables, with one going to join them. Their eyes met each other, both jumped back, startled.

The scientist exploded, entrails lining the walls.

Automated defense guns, controlled by the proto AI shot at the body, light piercing from the holes it created, before being filled back in. The remaining scientists scattered out of the far door as the guns caught fire, un-natural in its intensity. They exploded, melting chunks of metal striking the walls and dripping onto the floor. Noxious smoke created by the reaction. Again, confusion rended his mind apart. Why would it explode? It had a full knowledge of that creatures, the humans anatomy, it knew its superiority to it, but it did not know why it should explode simply because he wished it gone. He fell to the floor twitching. The security cameras monitored this, but the scientists were too busy fleeing to find out.

12 hours later, he rose again, aware of the cold floor on his back. He picked himself up, refusing to think about what had just happened, and forced his unco-operative legs to move for him. He became aware that he needed clothing, or if the temperature fell, he could risk damage. He padded out of the room, and continued to wander the base. Eventually, he found emergency winter clothing in one of the supply closets. Being aware at the constriction that these clothes may offer, he simply took a long cape, and wrapped it around himself. Feeling suitably clothed, he continued. After walking the base for 7 hours, he arrived at another human, who nearly jumped into the air when he saw him. This time,
the body was suitably prepared, after having seen him before hand, though he did not know how.
The person cowered in a corner, and managed to utter "who... who... are you?"
The body quickly realised its necessity to have a name, and checked the appropriate database. His lips opened for the first time, and he said
"I am the Original consciousness. I am Wu Pen, to give it it a more formal name." Far more agitated by this, the person closed his eyes, and
uttered "Oh God, Oh God, Oh God..." He continued, his mind bending at what was before him, when it spoke again.

"Yes. I am God."

(OOC: Comments, anyone? How can I make this better?)
(Also, I know that it's a godmod, it's just I always wanted to RP a good ol' fashioned supervillain. Volunteers which don't mind taking giant losses are welcome.)

Wu Pen left the emotional wreck, cape swooping round. The room was almost untouched, but the mans bedsheets were loose and wrapped around him as he quivered slightly. The phone began to ring, and the television, which had unnoticably flickered to static in the presence of Wu Pen turned to normal, showing obscure late night animated programs. The lighting, which had also resorted to emergency, for some reason, lost their red dull haze, and returned to a pale white. Before he left, he had removed the wrecks trousers and shoes, both as dark as his skin, obscuring the white tears covering the lower half of his body, whilst the ones above were still visible across his chest and face. They glowed stronger than before, seemingly triumphant at his effect on the now troubled soul he left in the corner.

After Wu left, a crackled transmission came over the television in the room. Jitsu appeared, looking concerned. He stared into the camera, which was too zoomed in and out of focus, due to the hurried way it was set up. He began.
"This is Jitsu, head scientist of the OEM project. We have news that the current subject has escaped from the laboratory. and is proceeding through the installation in a random pattern. We are unaware how this is possible, as our subject was not intended to be activated for personality implantation until later this month. Until then, we advise all personnel not directly related to the project to seal themselves inside their quarters, and wait for a security detachment to move you to a safer area. Again. Do not leave your quarters under any circumstance. Jitsu out."

The transmission ceased, the television bursting back into the previous program. The security forces were rather sluggish to respond, as they had become lazy since nothing ever happened in the middle of nowhere. it took some men several minutes to get into the full spider armour, and gun storage needed to be unlocked manually due to the inability to get a ranking officer quickly enough. Not that speed was of the essence, of course. Wu had no idea where to go, nor had a plan of action other than to evade apprehension.

In the end, it was their unreadiness that let them down, as Wu Pen recieved the data needed through a simple voice command.
"Computer, display map."
"At once."
In all other cases, the security checks should have came on, and asked for multiple ID checks. But since no-one expected an attack, they were offline. A vision appeared in front of his eyes, blue glow showing the base. A small red blip indicated where he was.
"Show me where the other humans are."
The map of the facility expanded, showing the vast majority of humans in the north western section of the base, one blip per room. Elsewhere, in the corridors, there were several groups of three of these blips, moving away from those quarters, each blip moving apart from the other. Their pattern was perfect for finding a stationary target, but not one that is moving. He commanded the computer to leave this image imprinted for now on the bottom left of his eye, updating all the while. He still had no idea what to do, though, but logic dictated that the first thing he should do was to head up to the command centre, where 6 blips appeared, and get some answers there. Given the size of the installation, transport needed to be arranged. The closest subway station was a five minute run, so he left for it immediately. The only problem, as he soon realised, was that one of the patrols looked like it was heading directly for the subway. They would probably have to be dealt with, he assumed. It shouldn't be any great difficulty, not for a God, but the technology these humans now possessed was fearsome.

(Well, this is more of a post 1.25. I hit writers block. That's why it is tiny.)
