The Kazansky Mark II Drive – All you wanted to know
In 203?, the Allanean Stellar Navy was facing a problem. On one hand, it needed an FTL-capable aerospace fighter. On the other, the existing Einstein-Rosenberg drives were no capable of ISFTL travel. Foldspace drives took too much power to be used on fighters, and it was impossible to enter slipstream from inside a system due to gravitic influence of the bodies.
Then, President Alexander Kazansky came into the scene, introducing the Alexander Kazansky MK II FTL drive. He used low-scale artifical gravity devices to negate the influence of stellar bodies on the drive. In essence, the drive existed in a zero-gravity zone all of its own.
As result, Anne Coulter Mark VI fighter-bombers were capable of ISSS (Intra System SlipStream) Travel. Their military designation is, in fact, ISSSFB (Instra System SlipStream FighterBomber). See more detail on the ship below.
