Visit the sights of my cities and countryside, lay on the beaches, ski in the mountains, relax in country villas, stay in and watch one of the many TV channels, visit the art galleries and museums around, take aeroplane tours of the country, request a citizenship, need I go on?
Ruskkia
18-08-2004, 17:45
Us Ruskkie tend to deter tourists from visiting the Imperium, for...er...various 'reasons'.

1. The Ruskkie Interior Guard tends to 'question' people at random.

2. Air Piracy is a BIG problem.

3. So are mad scientists trying to destroy our capital, Serlingrad.

4. Duty Free contists of crates of the Ruskkie infamous drink, SODKA! Which happens to be illegal outside Ruskkia.

5. The Southern Wastes are 'off-limits'.

6. Riots very common in all cities.

Thats just the minor ones...
The Brotherhood of Nod
18-08-2004, 17:48
Visit the Temple of Nod, lie on our pristine clean-looking-but-really-heavily-polluted beaches for only C1,- per hour, visit the Tiberium mining operations (at your own risk), abuse publicly-displayed criminals and "subversive elements", walk around between the tree stumps of what used to be forest, visit authentic Brotherhood Cheese Manufacturers, visit Cairo's casino's. prostitutes and drug dealers, see how people originally wove baskets, and go to shooting ranges or buy arms.

Unspoiled beaches and rainforests on the southern coasts. Old growth forests and mountains in the central regions and plenty of unspoiled praries interspersed with virgin forests in the north. There is always plenty of diving, fishing, skiing, hunting. Every large city hosts many top notch hotels, resorts and restaurants, especially tropical Costa-Tula and Costa-Mela on the southern coast.Tolteca ruins, medievil ruins and many interesting sites from Ilek-Vaad's 2000+ years of history.

Crime is unknown and every citizen of Ilek-Vaad is a member of the Velite Guard, there is probably no more safer vaction destination in the world.

The best thing is that vacationers do not pay sales tax in Ilek-Vaad, your dollar goes farther in the Free Republic.

Well since most of my country is desert tourists tend to like to go ATVing. As a result of this craze the cemetary business has really boomed in SaW.
The Dohme
19-08-2004, 02:29
Non-Religious pilgrimages are a very large part of The Dohme's tourism business. Rainforests and mountain climbing adventures also hold a large potion of the tourists money (mainly because that is the only way to get around).
Sarzonia
19-08-2004, 03:06
We have great beaches with sand and ocean near our southern coast. Our capital, Woodstock has monuments and Embassy Cove is one of the great tourist attractions in Sarzonia. In addition, many concerts and other cultural events take place in the Max Yasgur Center for the Performing Arts.

Wilmington has one of our great seaports and Nicksia (our largest city) has a naval history museum that chronicles the successes of our navy on the high seas.

Portland has an exhibit in its Cultural Information Center about our closest allies.
Frostguarde
19-08-2004, 04:00
While few foreigners know of our lovely nation, there are many, many things that native Frostguardeans enjoy.

The capital of Frosternesse plays host to nearly any type of nightclub you could imagine. Due to the construction of various plates to support the upper levels of the gigantic city, sunlight is rare in the lower regions. This, however, provides a never-ending nightlife. Gambling is also one of the nation's biggest industries, so a stop to one of the mega hotels and casinos is a must.

The Ebony Palace, seat of power for the monarchy, is located on an island in the Bay of King’s, which Frosternesse is located next to. The structure is thousands of years old, and magnificent to behold.

The Grand Gates are one of the most fortified structures in Frostguarde and regulate traffic in and out of the Bay of Kings, protecting the city from the threat of naval attack. The fortress is built into both sides of the canyon leading into the bay. At one point in history there were actual gates that could close off the canyon and restrict passage into the city, but with the loss of magical arts to the pages of time the massive doors were too large and costly to open or close, so they were removed.

The television in Frostguarde is nearly unrestricted by the government and therefore hosts shows that could interest any person. If you look, you'll most likely find what you're looking for.

Let me note that the legal age for drinking and gambling in Frostguarde is 12 years of age. Yes, only 12 years of age. Prostitution is also legal in Frostguarde, but the age limits are 17 years of age. Certain drugs have been legalized in Frostguarde as well, so refer to www.thisisnotarealcountrysothereisnotlist.com for a list of available drugs.

Criticism of the government is... frowned upon. Do not resist the police drones or Royal Police Department, if pulled aside for questioning. They are authorized to use deadly force when needed.

Weather in the Guarde is poor, so indoor activities are our forte. Also, weather is regulated inside cities large enough to host the required technologies.

There is 100% political stability in our fair nation, so do not worry yourself about terrorist organizations and things that exist in the more unstable places of the NS Worlds.

Check with your local spaceport today to book passage to our homeworld. Thank you.
New Genoa

Well, New Rome is an exact replica of Rome... tourists often dress in togas and tunics and visit cyber gladitorial fights or plays.
Akaton
19-08-2004, 06:15
Well, Akaton doesn't have many tourists, seeing as a horde of demons has overrun the nation. Also, there is no wild life or plants, the air is full of toxic fumes, and Lord Draconis slaughters humans when he is in a bad mood. However, if you don't care about these dangers, you can visit these places:

1) The Hell Gate (don't fall in!)
2) Temple of the Great Machine (avoid the industrial goth-cultists that worship here)
3) Forced labor camps (don't look for a job here)
4) The Imperial Palace (avoid Lord Draconis and the vampires that live here)

Rei-Sareng

OOC: Things to do in Rei-Sareng. Cogitatecogitatecogitate...

Fans of naval history may enjoy the Imperial Naval Museum in Huo-Tung, which features such exhibits as the Nineteenth Century man-of-war Kisaru and the Twentieth Century battleship Reiha (formerly the HMS Vanguard), as well as information on the current ships and programs of the Imperial Navy.

Fans of military history may enjoy the similar Imperial Army Museum in Kuitao, the capital, where examples of the Imperial armed forces, from the first infantry levies of the Fifth Century to the heavily armoured infantry and cavalry of the Thirteenth, the musketeer platoons of the Eighteenth Century to the first modern tanks to enter service in Rei-Sareng (and all the ages in between). The Rei-Sarenghai Reenactor's Fellowship is closely affiliated with the Army Museum, and often puts on mock battles.

Also in Kuitao is the Imperial Air Force Museum, which, despite having less depth of history than the other branches of the military, has much information on Rei-Sareng's modern aircraft.

But of course not everything in Rei-Sareng is military; students of architecture may enjoy the Jade Palace in Kuitao (limited tours avaliable once a week, unless the Imperial family forbids), the Saregaat in Tassarkand, and various mediaeval-era fortresses about the country.

And of course not everything in Rei-Sareng is occupied with the past. The beaches near Huo-Tung possess some very good surf, the Tanari Mountains can offer parasailing, parachuting, climbing, and skiing (the Jade Enterprise of Mount Kuang Skifield is open in the winters), and the Sailcar Fellowship in Tassarkand now offers berths aboard some of the Fellowship's larger sailcars.

For those not wanting history or adventure, the capital of Kuitao has a very active nightlife (and a very active daytime scene, as well), and the City Market has a great variety of local arts and crafts.

Rei-Sareng's renowned information technology systems are also avaliable for sale to visitors (although finding a terabyte connection to run your new VR headplug outside Rei-Sareng may be difficult, and some nations possess regulations on elective cyborging at odds to those in Rei-Sareng. Visitors are advised to keep the laws of their home nations in mind when considering cyborg implants, as few cybersurgery clinics will do this for you).

All in all, Rei-Sareng is a pleasant nation which has sacrificed none of it's ecological heritage to reach it's advanced state, and the people will always be welcoming. What are you waiting for?

~ A leaflet paid for by the Ministry of Tourism.

OOC: That took entirely too long to write. Enjoy, or I shall take the INS Reiha out of mothballs and bombard you with it's 15" guns.
