Most of the RPs I have done are at an International Level- Ie, War, Espionage, that sort of thing.

So, I thought I'd try something different.

Let me give you some background...

Roycelandia has a series of Penal Colonies located overseas- one in Glimmer Twins (Frostbite Island), one in the middle of the Pacific (Shark Island), and one off the Coast of Roycelandian New Guinea (Wreck Island).

The RP would be based around the overpowering of the guards on Wreck Island and the mass escape that would ensue, as the Escapees tried to get to safety in a different country.

As such, I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in RPing a character who would have a reason to be in a Roycelandian Penal Colony (any nationality), and who wants to RP planning the uprising, the uprising itself, and the escape to safety. I will be controlling the Guards and the Roycelandian Forces (as a GM, if you will), but at this stage I'm seeing who's interested in taking part.

Could be interesting, what tech level are you?

Roycelandia is Modern Tech, but with a retro- WWII flavour to it.

It's complicated, but basically we have computers, cellphones, satellites, internet etc, but the soldiers are armed with SMLE rifles, the Airforce flies updated Spitfire Fighters, and the Navy still has Dreadnoughts.

For all intents and purposes, we're a modern Nation, though...

Interesting but I'm reluctant to actually take a single character role, however the point of this post is that I consider Tom Joad to be Australia or at least in the same location. Depending on where Wreck Island is actually located TJ might be a probable destination, depending on whether the convicts have enough money waiting for them to buy their way in or powerful friends.

I've got plenty of free time...

Wreck Island is off the North-East coast of New Guinea, near Rabaul.

I understand your concern about not wanting to do a single-character RP. I'm not especially partial to them on NS, but I figured I'd give it a shot and try something different...

Well, not really convinced so I won't degrade any attempts but feel free to select TJ as a destination, I'll be following this RP if it goes ahead.
