A new age in warfare

We of Thundercorp are proud to announce that we have begun research of our latest set of tanks. We have known and used Sky tech for some time now but until recently it was not practical to even attempt to build Sky Tanks. But recent leaps in gravity induction tech and new mass reactors have allowed us to finally attempt to build a line of Sky Tanks. Previously the only used Sky Vehicle was our Viking Sky Bikewhich was characterised by high prices and frequent break-downs... But we think we can overcome these failings soon.

The vehicles should gradually replace grav-tanks within the Padmasan Army, and maybe even start doing jobs that traditionally required the larger more expensive Dropships. We look forward to the possibilities of these new weapons and cannot wait to begin production.

OOC: This is part of a string of announcements and advancments that will move Padmasa from Futuretech to Far-Futuretech. Yeah, I didn't know it was possible to go beyond futuretech either until I looked up an realised that if I even claimed half of what I'm claiming with this new equipment everyone in futuretech would call me a wanker, whereas in a setting that I am the only (I think) member (soon to be joined by the rest of The Order) not only would this stuff be the norm but I would be the unchalleneged ruler of the Tech Level. So, I'm going to stop rambling now and see if anyone takes notice.

I can't see why having a flying armored vehicle would be a Godmod. Jangle Jangle Ridge has the Terracoste and many nations have space fleets and flying battleships. I just created a semi-flying battleship today, so I support flying vehicles.

OOC: Actually, it's because of the advancement beyond simple flight that I think I should move up a tech level. I've had hover (or Grav) tanks for a while but when I wanted to move them up to real flight (Replacing jets and helicopters yet still maintaining an infantry support role) I figured it would be much easier to just move up rather than complicate things.

I didn't explain things, or at least didn't explain things well. My move to far-futuretech is both to acknowledge that I've spent the time researching to be able to do some pretty godlike things, and to keep things from getting overly complicated. It means a lot less work for me if I don't have to say before I RP every time that yes I'm futuretech but I've actually advanced my tanks, cars, and most everything else to the point that the idea of lasers seems quaint. Frankly when you look around and say to yourself "Hmmmm I have metal so strong that powered armour is useless and shield tech that can make your average infantryman nearly invincible" (for about a minute admittedly) it's time to move up a category or throw caution to the winds and stop advancing. So, I've created my own niche and in about a RL month will be throughly entrenched.
