Aerion Headline News
"Today, His Majesty King Wasterin X by Royal Decree has declared an national mandatory genetic registration by every citizen of Aerion. These tests shall be done by blood, or hair samples. Citizens may visit their doctor, civic center, courthouse, school, or other designated testing center to receive this mandatory test. In the same decree, His Majesty King Wasterin X set up the Office of Genetics under the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. Many are protesting this decision, citing the past regimes of Aerion's attempts at eugenics programs, and genetic "purity." There are rumors this genetic testing may, in the near future, serve as an more fool-proof identification system other than the National Identification Card (NIC) required by every citizen now. The NIC already combined the credit card, bank card, driver's license, social security card, and employee id card commonly used in other nations. Some more loud commentators have claimed that this is just a sign of further future oppression by the King."
