An abandoned SATO base in Alpha Centauri [Space][Secret-IC]

----------------------------------------------------------
SATO Space Station One (SSS One)
Abandoned South Atlantic Treaty Organisation base
Edge of the Alpha Centauri system
----------------------------------------------------------

For many decades, ‘SATO Space Station One’ had drifted aimlessly in space on the dark edges of the Alpha Centauri system. Without any inhabitants to bring it to life, it was a gloomy mammoth structure with a mass of over 10.12 million metric tons, a diameter of 772 meters and an overall station height of 508 meters. Four dark pylons with docking ports stuck out as a distinctive design feature of its creators, the lost nation of Diablo_NL.

The automated Reaction Control Thrusters mounted on the station had prevented the structure from getting sucked into the stars gravitational pull, but the thrusters A.I. had not been able to prevent it from tilting over and slowly turning round and round its own axis.

The creators of the station where long gone, their homeland disappearing in a flash of tachions replacing their nation with another dimension and bringing the Taurenor into Sisgardia. Perhaps an experiment gone wrong by the reckless scientists of the Diablo university? An accident? An act of a returning Eru himself? Conspiracy theories about. A single act had wiped out the Diablo culture, their people and their invaluable scientific legacy. Lost. But their outpost – before the accident already abandoned and given away to its SATO allies like a used toy - survived.

For a while, the SSS One had been used irregularly by the Knootians as a staging point for their first explorations into space. But advanced Valinon portal technology and imported starships from Sunset shipyards had rendered the base useless to even the Knootians. To prevent pirates from using it as a base, the entire complex was booby trapped. And so SSS One was abandoned once more, with no-one seemingly interested in claiming it. Until now.

---

The inside of SSS One hummed softly, here and there small things crackled. A strange machine puffed, releasing steam into the central corridor. There was no light, no atmosphere and no artificial gravity. Private Daniel Huguenot from the starship ‘Mercury Sunrise’ slowly let the light of his flashlight drift over the blacked out control panels as he himself drifted around a corridor in his pressure suit.

“Sir? According to the map this is the power switch for the primary fusion reactor,” he yelled into his commlink. He felt the need to speak up loudly when he was alone. “At least I hope it is.”

Confirmation crackled over the communications channel and he flipped the switch with the strange inscriptions. An alien voice hummed from the darkness, like a whisper from the past.

“Bringing fusion power reactors online.
Primary fusion reactor one, functional and online.
Primary fusion reactor two, functional and online.
Primary fusion reactor three, functional and online.
Primary fusion reactor four, functional and online.
Primary fusion reactor five, functional and online.
Primary fusion reactor six, functional and online.
Primary power restored“

With an omnipresent humming sound engulfing the station, the lights went on in all the rooms and hallways, the shining light also visible from the tiny windows looking out into space. Daniel looked around, the station seemed dusty and alone. No longer dark and hostile, SSS One seemed to him more like an old friend, forgotten by time and history. Moments after power was restored, some sort of steam hissed from an opening in the ‘sealing’ right below Daniel. His comrades had managed to restore life support with power back online. Relieved, the Knootian made his way back to his vessel, the small support craft docked at pylon three.

---

With shiny blue strikes emerging from heaven, the support craft emerged into normal space next to SSS One. With them on their tractor beams they carried fifty larger vessels, bulky and square-like. Aboard the largest gravship, a young lieutenant approached a man with a grey beard and several pips on his otherwise plain green uniform. “Admiral?”

“Yes lieutenant?”
The young man handed his superior officer a printout.

“The report you asked for Sir. As you can see, sensor inhibitors placed around the station are fully functional. They can’t see us with any scanning equipment that I know of. Well, unless they know exactly what to look for and get veeeery close.”

The admiral glanced over the report. “Weapons?”, he muttered.

The lieutenant reported professionally: “Station Defences are online and everything is accounted for. We have counted 5000 Killer Whale missiles; 300 Heavy NPPC.” The admiral nodded and the young man continued. “Very old Diablo weaponry Sir, but it should still be functional and it is up to a challenge. These guys where way ahead of their time, Sir,” he added with frank admiration. “Shields are also functional with a radius of approximately 300 meters.”

The elderly Knootian nodded again, and turned around, whispering to his first officer. ”Prepare the boarding crews.”

((OOC:
This development is probably somewhat surprising for the IRC-less I recon. Anyway, I’m not really interested in taking up Melkors plotting to destroy the gravships he sold me years ago, but the whole row it caused did make me realise that I need a better place to hide them since The Vortex Corporation is long gone. This is supposed to be OOC background knowledge for everyone. TG me if you think otherwise, please.

Valinon has a TG explaining what is going on here with some IC knowledge since its essentially ‘his’ system at this point in history. This SATO base was originally built by Diablo_NL ages ago. (More then one RL year ago. I will not even enter the debate about how long that is in IC time.) I have his OOC permission to use it.

((OOC: Also, for the sake of sanity. This is taking place a few weeks/months before the Raumreich war started. During the war the sector would be kinda busy and the Knootians would never choose that moment to jump in.

Thank you for your understanding.))

"What does that beacon mean?" Ensign Wilson sleepily eyed a small red diod blinking over his screen.

"Just tap it lightly and it will go away. Probably just an error" His best and only friend in the 4:th Reich Surveillance Unit was more interested in watching some forbidden magazines than looking at Wilsons screen.

Wilson gently tapped the beacon with his index finger nail. But it still blinked and suddenly the whole screen was filled with data. Wilson read the data astonished as his mouth moved but no words came out.

----------

Fleet Admiral Gunthard Rausing, was roused from his sleep at an ungodly hour, his old bones aching. Working at the Reich StreiteKräfte was no pleasant job at all, what could possibly be so important as to wake him in the middle of the night he thought as his aide quickly ran away after doing the dirty deed of waking the old man.

Men shrank away as Rausing strode towards the bridge, clad in his long leather coat, wearing the ensignias of various battles, his face grim and determined, he was not in a good mood at all. The sound of his Jack boots only strengthened the impression that this was not the best of nights to deliver bad news to him. He entered the bridge:

"What?!

The men at the bridge scrambled to attention, all but five men standing huddled over a screen in a corner. Rausing rose an eyebrow and walked over to the men to see what had caught their attention. He leaned in and read the data. This could not be?! The SATO dogs spacestations had been inactive for a long time, the surveillance pods had almost been forgotten since they were put in the vicinity of them. What was happening? His face revealed nothing and he just took the report offered by an aide and went back to his room. This had to be dealt with, and quickly.

SATO Space Station One (SSS One)
Classified Knootian Fleet-Stationing Centre
Edge of the Alpha Centauri system
-----------------------------------------
Daniel Huguenot entered the staff officers briefing room of the station. Much of the dust had been cleared and the flickering Diablo computer screens where now displaying 3d maps of the Alpha Centauri system and its surroundings. The Knootian admiral in charge of of the gravship fleet was sitting at the head of an oval table together with several high-ranking officers.

“Report private. You said you found something interesting on your preparatory mission?”

Daniel stood before the table with his hands behind his back.
“Yes Sir. Before we gave a green light for the fleet to move in our scouting team discovered two devices in the vicinity of the station. They weren’t natural space debris… we figured they where probes or… satellites of sort. Designed to observe at any rate. Judging by our old intelligence on the station as we left it they must have been placed after we abandoned them.”

The stations Chief Tactical Officer spoke up. “Why didn’t you report this immediately? This could have been a threat.”

“Well… we had to maintain radio silence, Sir. But we solved the problem. As a part of the mission we used the Mercury Sunrise to give the probes a little push, Sir.

The admiral frowned, surprised. “A little push?”

“Yes, Sir. If their scanning equipment is on par with ours they would have seen our non-Knootian scout ship dock, followed by the station going online, and then going back offline as we undocked. After that we used our tractor beams to hurdle them towards the star. It might appear like an accident. It’s a long shot, but it just might. We confirmed that the probes where destroyed and all debris was cleared before the fleet arrived. They couldn’t have seen us and there could not have been any remaining probes. With the sensor inhibitors feeding them our pretty ‘background stars’ screensaver they won’t see it now unless they bump into it.”

The chief tactical officer spoke up. “Admiral, I would like to suggest that we use our thrusters to move the station just a little further away from the star to location D instead of location B. Its further away and if anyone decides to take a look we should be well out of visual range.”

“Agreed”, he concurred. “We can’t be too careful with hostile probes snooping around. Even with Valinon patrols in this system. Make it happen. Dismissed.”

((OOC: I’m invisible. Yay. Don’t techwank your way around it please. I can be assumed to have been preparing this move for months IC. The station disappeared into thin air. Feel free to wonder where it went but remember - Alpha Centauri is Valinon territory.))

Gunthard Rausing looked on the reports received from the pods. It looked like the pods had been destroyed and found out which meant that he had to rely on data from a tracker placed further away but now homing in on the Area where the Space station were. Luckily the unarmed tracker didn't need to go close because of the excellent telescope used for reasons like this. But one could never be too sure of aggressive people trying to ruin other peoples property. Rausing had ordered a cruiser and two destroyers to perform a scientific study near the tracker. Just in case. He also had a good visual of a starship before the small spypods were destroyed.

"Hmmm.. What nation is that?"

OOC. Don't worry Knoot I wont ruin anything for you, just bear in mind that SATO and former SATO tech still is in high priority for Reich Intelligence. You can't just activate a thing like a Space Station without people noticing, especially people who are really interested in it.

OOC: Its all good. I understand. Just...
...“Yes, Sir. If their scanning equipment is on par with ours they would have seen our non-Knootian scout ship dock...

More OOC:
The Mercury Sunrise isn't a Knootian starship. (And even if it were, it would be produced in Sunset so you would be unable to tell the difference by just looking at its exterior anyway. The name is not Dutch also which was another hint, albeit a vague one.) This ship is normally for private use. I can assign an appropriate country of origin to it if you want but on the whole its just your average converted civilian freighter.

EDIT: I also do not think that Valinon likes Reich probes in his home system. Seeing that he has patrols and such. I have TGed him so lets wait for him.

HMSS Draco, a massive asteriod that was stripped of most useable materials ages ago, is now the heart of the Outer System Rim Patrol Force (OSRPF) with massive dry-docks, hanger bays, and surrounding defensive drones and satellites surrounding it.
Kommodore Ian McDellings had replaced Pter Borge as the OSRPF's CO's chief of staff when he was made commander of the OSRPF with Vizeadmiral von Heinlien's promotion to the commander of the picket force stationed in Yalta. He exits the lift as it comes to a stop deep within the bowels of Draco. Here is the massive tactical coordination and command center for the entirety of the OSRPF on its eternal mission to be the first eyes and ears of the Valinor at the fringes of their home system. The asteriod belt that straddles the distance between the massive gas giant of Prometheus Centauri, and Alpha Centauri B, is a hinderance and an ally to the Valinor defensive cause. Although it draws in most of the Valinor raw materials from Alpha Centauri, it also is littered with debris from the wars fought on the fringes of the system: the Outer Dominion Wars, the Adamite Wars, and more beyond count.
The massive holographic projections surrounding the central "hub" jutting out into the spherical chamber are linked to the thousands upon thousands of satellites and sensor platforms Valinon has scattered across the system's fringe over the years, along with the long-range patrol groups that soucr the system for villany as well.
"Sir," McDellings says come to attention slightly behind Borge, "I have those reports on the probes the HMS Darlin found two weeks ago from Sanctuary."
"Ah, good," says Borge, turning to face his chief of staff. "Do we have a confirmation on our mystery probes origin?"
"Not initially, sir. But we sent out the reports to a few of our allies: Knootoss, Sunset, Wazzu, Steel Butterfly, and some others. Knootoss and Sunset positively identified the probes as being of Veganan (sp?) manufacture."
Borge looks up at McDellings, "Vegana?"
"Yes, sir."
"Did you alert our friends at Point 57?"
"Yes, sir, I did. They have found probes near their own installation as well."
Borge nods, "Send a message to our out-bound patrol groups. They are to make a sweep of their patrol zones and disable any of these probes they come across. Load all the technical schematics from these reports to them via Nu-space if they have already left Draco."
"Yes, Admiral."
"And raise our alert level to yellow, Ian. If there are probes here and they have spotted the activity at Point 57, we may well have visitors soon enough. When they arrive, we will have them leave the system at once."
"Aye, sir."

OOC: I'd even forgotten about that station. I think at the time it was created the Dominion of Outer Centauri (Valinon's old rival for control of Alpha Centauri) was still pretty firmly in control of large chunks of Proxima Centauri III and Prometheus Centauri. As I recall, Diablo might have worked out a deal with him, but I'm not entirely sure. I had presumed it was destroyed by Diablo when I wiped the DoOC out, Knootoss has since informed me that was not the case.

The Reich StreiteKräfte, Starship "Wirt"

Admiral Rausing shook his head in belief. Since the discovery of the SATO station going online dozens of his probes had gone silent in the sector. Something was definitely up.

"Will they be able to destroy all our probes?" he asked his Technical Aide.

"I highly doubt it sir, even if they get the obvious ones there still is plenty around, obfuscated until activated and others are heavily camoflaged, they wont be discovered until they start transmitting the information and by then we can have ships close enough to deal with the data." The aide shook his head in disbelief "But this will make it much harder.

Rausing looked grim and begun to send the report to the ministry of information.

Communique sent to Valinon Governement

We are deeply disturbed by the recent aggressions towards scientific unarmed probes performed by Valinon forces in the vicinity of Alpha Centauri. The Reich has not perceived Valinon as an enemy of The Reich before and demands an explanation and compensation for this unprovoked violence.

His Majesty and His Majesty's Government fail to see why "scientific probes" from Vegana would require such extensive stealth technology packages that appear almost military grade in nature.
Also, the United Star Empire of Valinon will in no way compensate Vegana for an unlawful and illegal entrance into Valinor sovereign territory. The Twins Suns of Alpha Centauri are the Vaterland and what we do within our realm is our own affairs. His Majesty and His Majesty's Government will not tolerate further unsanctioned forays into Valinor territory. Any attempts to send unauthorized missions into our space will be dealt with accordingly as our own laws dictates. They will be first asked to leave the system immediately, if they refuse they will told to decelerate and heave to, and if they refuse to do this they will be treated as belligerent forces and forcibly expelled from our space.

Sincerely,
Lady Diedre Rolt

The wonderful nation of Vegana have no clue what kind of extensive stealth equipment the Valinon Government is talking about. The Veganian Scientific vessels has been studying bacteriological breeding in deep space and has no extensive stealth technology, they were also clearly marked as property of Veganian Reich StreiteKräfte. We had hope that you would have followed your own and custom laws by asking those of our probes that by mistake had strayed into your territory to be removed before destroying our property. WE are also sending a mission to rescue those of our vessels, if any, that remains in your space from further harm. By just using plain destruction you have delayed our studies for more than 10 years. If any of our vessels that remains in contested or international space are destroyed by Valinon crafts, we will consider that an act of aggression against the Reich and the consequences will be grave indeed.

Reich StreiteKräfte, HQ
Admiral Rausing stood in attention for the man in front of him. StreiteWaffen Führer Matthias Strubel looked very grim indeed, the former Inquisitor leaned forward and looked into the Eyes of Rausing. "How much information do we have?

"Enough sir, they might have got some of our probes but we have a general understanding what happened there thanks to our "Big Eyes" in that region.

"I see, and you are sure of what kind of ships you saw?"

"yes Sir, no doubt, it seems as if the station dissappeared, we would need to scan the area to find it again."

"Negative, our relation with Valinon is strained enough without us scanning his "Vaterland", that would only make our already thin story even thinner." The minister of Intelligence spoke in a quiet voice as usual, but the other men listen quietly. " Our rescue mission will continue to "Big Eyes" and since it is not in Valinon space it wont bring any problems to Valinon Ego. Dispatch a larger contignent to trail our rescue mission, we wont take any bull from our esteemed associates when "Big eyes" starts to assemble the information from our remaining camoflaged probes."

OOC: Considering that people succeeded to recognise spy probes i assume that it was marked somehow. Our better cloaked probes would naturally be untraceable regarding to origin. Knoot, don't forget that in NS space "Everyone will hear your screams" ;-)

The United Star Empire of Valinon will not tolerate further unauthorized attempts by the nation of Vegana to enter our territorial space of Alpha Centauri, and the surrounding component space. If these probes were on a scientific mission, then a request to enter the system should have been made when they were dispatched on this "exploratory mission." The apparent secretive nature of their insertion into Alpha Centauri leads us to wonder of their true motive, and we will not tolerate the presence of a nation within our space that has already shown dubious motives.
As such, any attempts by Vegana ships to enter the Alpha Centauri system or Valinor territorial space will be treated as an unauthorized intrusions. Your ships will be asked to leave, if they persist they will be asked to heave to, and if they still persist to invade our territory they will be treated as hostile vessels and dispatched.

OOC: JUst to remind you that "Big Eyes" is outside territorial space, even if I believe all this with interstellar territories are silly. Not exactly sure if you were around and on Alpha Centauri when we dispatched those sats around various strategic points.

IC:

The wonderful nation of Vegana thought the great nation of Valinon was aware of the fact that some of these scientific probes had strayed into their territory since they didn't move there by propulsion of their own. Further on we hope that Valinon will have the curtesy to escort any of our scientific probes that strayed the wrong way out of their territories instead of destroying valuable micro-biological experiments. The Reich has always respected boundaries, but also is aware of the fact that most nations has given unarmed satellites free passage, especially around sol. The Reich will continue a rescue mission on their probes around Valinon space.

On board The Holy Avenger captain Magnus Ney looked on the screens. He could see his destroyer escorts following in defensive pattern Delta and their target wasn't too far away. He could also see the Juggernaut, two battleships, eight Cruisers and 40 destroyers following them, that made him really nervous. As far as he was aware this was a rescue mission. They were supposed to reach a satellite and gather data from it, that sounded like a regular enough mission. Why the hell did that huge warfleet follow them? Magnus sweated, this was a nightmare, were they sent out as a pawnsacrifice in some kind of bigger scheme? He looked at the screen again and told his second in command.

"Don't tell ANYONE about this"

Magnus went of to have a much needed drink.

OOC: I was not referring to the "Big Eyes" I was referring to the ships you said you were sending to Alpha Centauri. As for if I was in Alpha Centauri, I've been here since my nation was created. Although at the time this station was created Valinon was not in full control of the outer system, that was largely the domain of the Dominion of Outer Centauri. But the Dominion has been dead for over one hundred years now, and with its demise came Valinor dominion over the entirety of Alpha Centauri.
As for probes getting free passage, this was formerly true. But the Valinor are becoming very isolationists and are getting paranoid at any missions being sent to Alpha Centauri. The last few were colonial missions that seemed to have the concept they could just displace us.

The HMS Death's Head moves gracefully across the outer system between the Centaur's Belt and the smoldering fire of Alpha Centauri B. On the bridge of the Death's Head, Flottenkapitan Dmitri Andropov turns as his chief of staff, Fregattenkapitan Sanderson approaches.
"Sir, the Stalwart has accquired another Veganan probe at 2,589 kilometers ahead of our present position."
"Contact the Tiger's Claw and have them dispatch a Precentor flight to rendezvous with the probe and return it to the carrier."
"Yes, sir."
Andropov watches the bridge's main tactical display showing the Death's Head with its three other sister battleships, a quartet of escorting heavy cruisers, six light cruisers, the carrier Tiger's Claw, and an escorting force of sixteen destroyers. The ships hang in a loose sphere formation around the battleships and the carrier as they move toward the area Draco has dubbed Point 57. Andropov is still mystifed as to why Vizeadmiral Borge wishes to have such a presence around Point 57, considering its distance from any major mining operation and Prometheus Centauri itself. But he decides the affairs of the OSRPF's commanding officer are often better left unquestioned.

Big Eyes orbital unit

Big eyes swirled around in space, looking, always looking. He wondered what was so important in that sector he had been ordered to observe. His central unit had processed and stored hundreds of Terabytes of information being sent to him by the active probes in the area, but it seemed as if they had been inactivated by some hostile source in the area. So the information flow was more like a trickle now. He knew there were many dormant cloaked probes out there but his orders had been not to activate their transmitting units until his keepers had arrived. He longed to get all the data they had assembled, he thirsted for information. He sensed the arrival of his keepers so he prepared for a transfer of data, finally , finally he would quench his thirst.

Captain Ney watched the Big eye slowly rotate in space, he watched it for a second and then gave order to send the command for Big Eye to start downloading data. He started to transmit to his ship, he wanted to get this over with as soon as possible.

Big Eye
Big eye smiled in his dream, it was time. he sent out the signal and activated the sleeping drones in the quadrant. He enjoyed the rush of information that immediately started to flow, he lapped it up, revelled in it. He almost reluctantly started to transmit it to his masters ship. He felt the Terabytes flow through his sytem like blood in his veins, he loved sorting the information, analyzing it and then serve it like a masterchef to his masters. He felt the connection with his brothers and sisters all over the universe, sharing his joy and his happiness.

Big Eye screamed of joy as the last information was transferred to the Holy Avenger. He regretfully let go of the last bytes and felt them float of to the ship. He sent the message to all the hidden drones out there Sleep again my children, sleep and listen. Big Eye hoped some of the drones in the area would go unnoticed even if he was sure that many of them would be hunted down and destroyed. But his masters had deemed it important enough to gather all this information to risk the drones. Big Eye smiled to himself as he swerved in space, opening up his scopes as a big flower open up to the sun.

Onboard The Holy Avenger

Captain watched the download finish and ordered his ship to turn around and head for Reich Space once more. He looked at the amazing amount of information and knew that it would take several days for the information ministry to analyze all this. His shipcomputer would start organizing the data on the way home, but it was nowwhere as powerful as the computer clusters that the informationministries owned.

"Unknown vessel moving to depart," comes the report from the sensor section, carefully monitoring the data garnered from Valinon's own sensor network in their home system.
"Then it is time we showed our rogue contacts striding into Alpha Centauri is not as easy as they believed. Coordinate a pin-point jump one hundred thousand kilometers ahead of the vessel's current course and transmit it to the rest of the task force."
"Yes, Flottenkapitan."
Andropov feels the new gravimetric engines change their subtle hum as they prepare for the translation of a brief hyperspace jump. The Death's Head disappears in the blue-white rift of hyperspace, along with the other vessels of Andropov's expanded command.
Three minutes later, they re-enter ahead of the Holy Avenger in near perfect unison born of their AI enhanced navigation.
"Unidentified vessel, this is Flottenkapitan Dmitri Andropov of His Majesty's Kriegsmarine and the Outer System Rim Patrol Force. You have trespassed in Valinor controlled space and hereby demanded to cut acceleration and explain your presence in this system at once. Captain Ney watched the ships materialize in front of him and heard the message, a drop of sweat slowly trickled down his brow. What was this? What could he answer to this? He thought he was outside Valinon space. That force would blow him to pieces if he tried to just drive through them. He made a quick estimation on his battle computer and was told that his chances for victory was 9,7 %, escaping with all his ships 24,3% and total annihilation while trying to escape 23,9 %. Captain Ney watched the last numbers blink at the screen. The odds for total annihilation was almost as good as total escape. He gave the order to slow down to give him the time to think when the screens were filled with new messages.

Onboard the Juggernaut HHS Kungsörnen
Admiral Jensen watched as the Valinon vessels left hyperspace and put themselves in front of the rescue vessels. He couldn't believe his luck, by doing this they placed themselves in between his fleet and the rescue fleet with their backs to his fleet. It seemed like Rausings plan of following the rescue fleet at a distance has proved efficient.

Lock on targets, prepare to fire. No warning shots. WE want complete destruction if they start locking on to us. Those ships are regarded as raiding privateers, threatening Reich property. Paint them red.

Hostile vessels! This is Admiral Jensen on HHS Havsörnen. We don't recognise Valinon Authority in international Space. You are hindering Reich Space Vessels from returning to their homeport. You will cease this activity immediately or face the consequences. We are regarding you as Rougue pirates acting outside your boundaries. You have one minute to remove yourself out of our rescue vessels way, if you try to lock on us you WILL be destroyed.

On board The Holy Avenger captain Magnus Ney looked on the screens. He could see his destroyer escorts following in defensive pattern Delta and their target wasn't too far away. Andropov looks at the display of the Reich fleet relatively unimpressed.
"Do we have a confirmed lock on this location, Navigation?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good, save it and transmit it back to Draco at once. The forces of this so-called Reich were here for a reason, and I doubt it was for any scientific research. The Admiralty will want a thorough search of this area once the current crisis here is resolved. Comm, open a channel."
"Aye, sir."
"Reich vessels," Andropov loads that first word with perceptible sarcasm, "as you say we have no authority here, neither do you. And your intentions here are certainly debatable considering your rather ridiculous display of military power for such an unimportant scientific mission, or such unimportant international space. I will suffer your vessel to pass into your protection, but I will not withdraw my forces until your own command moves to withdrawal. I have contacted my own superiors, and they are mobilizing additional forces to supplement my own command. The damage or destruction of my own force will be met with the response of the full wall of the Outer System Rim Patrol Force, of which you have little hope of repelling."
Andropov looks toward the signature of Reich science vessel, "A hole will open in my formation to allow your 'science vessel' to pass through into your protection. This hole will be 900 kilometers tall and 1,200 kilometers wide, and will be open for a duration of thirty standard minutes. They are signalling for help sir

Admiral Jensen hadn't expected less, he knew he had to be gone before a larger contignent of Valinon Vessels arrived, if he wasn't the tables would be turned.

"Affirmative Valinon Fleet, still, I want to be perfectly clear that you do NOT try to lock on any of our vessels. " Admiral Jensen turned to his aides
"Tell the fleet to stand on high alert, relay the coordinates of the hole to captain Ney, tell him to move with haste."

Onboard the Holy Avenger

Captain Ney felt a pearl of sweat slowly travel down his brow and unto the tip of his nose. When he received the order he assembled his small fleet into a defensive tight pattern and started to move for safety through the coordinates that had been given to him by the Valinon Commander.

HHS KUNGSÖRNEN

Jensen watched the smaller fleet merge with his with a great deal of satisfaction.
"Keep them ships painted and open up a gate. Don't hesitate to blow them to pieces if they try anything. We're going home!"

Slowly as the ships turned , one by one and went into the the gate heading for the safe harbour of Reich Space. The Computers aboard the juggernaut already had started to analyze and sort the data assembled by the pods in the Alpha Centauri area, using the other ships computers as a giant cluster floating through space towards home.
