And I'm setting this up as a WCC member who wants to save the bureaucracy of having chosen a host first, who then starts a sign-up thread, and then the tournament never starts.

Edit: I forgot: Every nation who has participated in World Cup 16 but not qualified for the finals are eligible for the tournament. No one else.

Edit 2: The eventual host reserves him/herself the right to pick and choose from the signed-up teams.

The Protectorate of Starblaydia accepts the invitation and will certainly enjoy playing in their second successive Cup of Harmony, wherever it may be held, and wherever else we may have to sign up to compete in it :D

Salbania: Unfortunately, this tournament only accepts teams who have played (and RPed, i.e. written a match report or something similar about the games), in World Cup 16. You didn't signed up for that tournament, hence you can't play here. However, I suggest signing up for World Cup 17 (if you can find the thread and make sense of what it says) along with the Baptism of Fire tournament, which is for newcomers to the World Cup (sign-up in the same thread).

We'll participate. We have not had a chancto RP in WC16 due to the fact I've been on holiday in the states for 3 weeks.

That sounds like my collapse from group lead to missing the WC.

The Disappointments of Melmond are in...and if LE cannot find a co-host we can do the job.

The Socialist Union of Kerla will gladly accept the invite to the Cup of Harmoney. We also would like to co-host the tournament and know that we will try to do a good job.

Liverpool England will accept Melmond as a cohost, if it so wishes.

Cockbill Street will put in a bid to host Cup of Harmony IX with Raptor Claw. The stadiums that are likely to be used in Cockbill Street are to be picked from the eight shown in this post (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=6758524&postcount=3). Raptor Claw needs to find the images again, but will confirm the hosting bid shortly.

Edit: The method of scorination employed will most likely be Excel, with a new formula that I've experimented myself. It's long-winded to explain, but it may be found at http://www.freewebs.com/hattrickladder/CSScorinator.xls. In short, it is an attempt to make things a bit less random than the previous WC formulae (particularly WC16), and it's also an attempt to get more goals in the World Cup. Flaws are that newbs can't score against world beaters away (not a lot, anyway), but score freely (i.e. 5-5s, 6-6s) among themselves.

With the new annoucement...Melmond drops its bid to host the Cup of Harmony...our original intention was just as an emergency host if only one nation volunteered to host the Cup of Harmony.
