I understand that if new members of our region have a position in our community they will feel more important and more a part of our region. However, is it wise to be throwing out these positions to strangers as most of the new nations are unknown to the majority of us.
I have nothing against the new nations being given power at some point but giving them it this early on cannot be a wise move - it could make us vunerable and open to attack as more people would be involved in important and private affairs of our region.

I have to agree with Hishi on this point, as giving power to nations soon after they arrive could cause our region many problems. I am not saying that the recently arrived nations are a problem, but I do believe that if we openly advertise positions of real power, then one new natuion could be sent as part of an invasion.

I believe also that the council should be up and running soon, so to allow an official decison to be made on this particular issue.

What do others think? I eagerly await responses

I stand by what I said in my earlier post but would like to add that I believe (if indeed these positions are given out eventually) it should only be done with the consent of the entire committee.
