OOC: It's all about fluidic time..w00t
The URHP
Year: 20xx (around 2045)
Time: About five years after the ousting of Premier Boris Kasparov, murderer of elves and located in a high security-prison about 50 miles north of the city of Edona, population 154,000, and former residence of Silaari Itarildë Eledhwen. The capital, once the city of Hvittsted, has been moved to a new coastal city constructed by Lietuvs with the help of the Menelmacari. Narbeleth is the current residence for the Silaari, and is the center of government, the arts, education, and science of the United Republics of the Hvittsted Pact. Silaari Itarildë has promised fully that she will look out for the welfare of all Lietuvs, not only those of her race. An avid capitalist and dedicated elf, Itarildë is extremely popular, though her popularity runs low among those who were highly loyal to Kasparov, and as well as those who are currently imprisoned in the former fortress of Carchost, now a high-security prison for those who attempted to kill off the Elven minority of the URHP, as well as others who now question the authority of the new government.
The government of the URHP is run very differently now. The Silaari's most trusted advisor, Joseph Van Arsden, is now the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and has been actively pursuing furthering relationships with Elven nations and those who are friendly to them. However, he is also attempting to place the URHP in a middle ground, perhaps making cordial relations with nations of more sinister backgrounds. Overall, the population of the URHP is very pleased with the new government, though voicing opposition is hard to do, so public opinion is kept pretty silent. However, through outside news sources, the general opinion of the Lietuv people is "happy", while a few are still "not happy" because of the ousting of Boris Kasparov. Silaari Itarildë has made many public broadcasts speaking of winds of change, claiming that she will carry the URHP to many new worlds abroad and begin promoting defense. On the subject of space, the following will happen in a detailed list:
1. Allies will help fund the Lietuv Space Initiative, a program created by the Council of Ministers. The budget for the LSI will be funded under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, due to the current lack of a Defense Ministry in the URHP. (fookin bostardly calculator..)
2. The LSI's first project will consist of putting a Lietuv in orbit for approximately 72 hours. Though the technology level of select allies is probably high enough to waver such simple endeavours, the Silaari of the URHP has stressed that this would be a milestone in Lietuv history, insisting that the event take place. Two elves and two humans, of each gender, are to orbit the planet Earth within 72 hours and land in the Haven Straits. If successful, the LSI will begin massive projects, listed below.
3. Approximately within five years, the LSI will use transports provided by the Dominion of Dready Lady Nathicana to begin shipping materials to an orbital space station by the name of Eris I. Construction will be done by trained Lietuv astronauts, who have been in training in the total of seven years that the LSI has existed. Thus, construction is swift and quick, thanks to the help of allies.
4. Eris I will take approximately two years to complete, and will be quite small for modern standards. From each end, the station will be about 100 yards. Eris I will be approximately 300 yards tall, and will have massive solar panel wings at the top and bottom of the station. The center of Eris I will be the hub of activity, and a small docking bay will be the locale of future construction of shuttles and transports. The total population of Eris will probably never go over 50.
5. Within the next six years after the completion of Eris I, the construction of three large shuttles will take place at the new station. Importing of minerals from Earth will remain costly, but damage to the environment will remain considerably low. Silaari Itarildë at this time will attempt to make the LSI space-based, and the construction of Quellë will begin. Quellë will be a fortress, trading post, and the first Lietuv settlement in space that would contain residents who actually lived and worked in the station. Quellë will be constructed in Mars orbit, and will primarily be used for the construction of a small expeditionary fleet that will set out to discover new places to settle. Quellë will hold about 500 people, and will generally be used for commercial purposes. A few small defensive ships will be constructed to defend the large station.

I'm sure a few things may have to change, especially if the Duma of Mars will not allow me to construct my space station in Mars' orbit.
Please remember that this is a very general timeline, and stuff may have to be tweaked in order to allow minor details. Constructive criticism is welcome, bashing bullshit is not. Examples for the stupid:
