Europe and Eurasia

(OOC: This is an open thread to get to know as many people as possible so come on in and make this thread interesting!)
Tsar Xander II of the house of Mabus was sitting behind his desk in his large office in the Imperial palace painstakingly handwriting all of the invitations to his 18th birthday celebrations, he breathed a sigh of relief after finishing the last one and prayed that he didn't forget anyone, the Empire of Europe and Eurasia had relations with a great number of nations and cultures and Xander prided himself on being an exellent host and all round friendly person.
Pouring himself a glass of his favourite French Cognac Xander walked out onto the balcony situated behind his desk and looked out over the great metropolis of the Imperial capital of Mabusgrad, the city his grandfather had founded was made almost entirely of buildings of Gaudian design on a monumental scale, even the most common of apartment buildings would have the ability to wow any outsider, but the largest and grandest of all the buildings was by far the Imperial Palace, a soaring parabolic skyscraper rising far above all other structures in the city, inside is a honeycomb of halls, offices, private chambers and rooms to facilitate domestic service (Kitchens, Laundries etc.) all of which culminated in the Great Imperial Throne Hall situated in the top 20 floors of the building, where the Tsar would hold meetings with his Imperial Concillium and where servants were currently preparing for the banquet Xander was planning.
"Another year older" Xander quietly says to himself not expecting to get a response, but he did "and yet still as handsome as ever" Xander spun around in surprise and found himself staring into the eyes of his beloved Tsarina "you always know how to make me feel better, Christine" Xander said in a loving tone rarely heard coming from him "I don't know why birthdays bother me, I guess it's because all of the Tsars before me seemed to die on their birthdays" Christine gave her husband a skeptical look "you shouldn't let a little superstition ruin your big day, all of those deaths were just a coincidence, now come on, you've finished all of you work for today and I think its time that we went to bed" Christine said that last part in a very flirtatious tone, yet Xander still remained clueless for a few seconds "but it's only nine o'clo....ohhhhhhhh!"
