Do you tire of your lives in the hives, tire of living in constant fear that the walls of the above will breach and the poisonous gases of the Ashen Wastes will spill in to boil your flesh from your bones?

THE WORK ETHIC IS HOPE

Only by the most holy power of the Work Ethic, only by the continuous application of your body to the Holy Work, can you keep entropy and degredation at bay.

And yet we cannot be insects, those foul vermin that build their hives to no cause but their own survival; our humanity demands it. We cannot all work as we please, for then that shall be Chaos and with Chaos comes Conflict. Conflict like the Conflict between the swarm-vermin societies of the Ten Colors before the Union, the Conflict that turned the green of our nation into the ashen wastes of today. That is the purpose of the Strategic Corps for Offensive Research and Corporate Hegemony... it brings order to chaos, work to the restful, work to us all so we may live further.

The Verdant Wastes are a most holy place as they reveal what we once were and what we will once again become through the glorious Work Ethic. With each man, woman, and child assigned duty by SCORCH, the people of MoAG will once again arise from the ashes, the craters becoming fields, the chemical cesspools becoming lakes. That will be Paradise, and we can only have Paradise through Work.

You, all of you, are members of one of the Ten Colors, those ancient and foolhardy tribes that brought us to this state.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE

You are all guilty of these crimes of old by the blood that fills your veins. You wasteful vermin are direct causes of our current pain, of the bitterness of life. It is not only in the past, in your blood, oh no--every time you slack, every time you shirk, every moment not spent in the continuance of the Work Ethic, the better understanding of the Work Ethic, the application of the Work Ethic, is sin. It is heresy. It is dooming you and all of MoAG to destruction by grim nature.

You shirkers. You scum. You know who you are! The ones who lean back from the holy machines of Production when your arms grow tired, the mild pain in your bones becomes too much. How do you think it feels to be burned away by the toxic residues of a funky bomb? To be torn limb from limb and be flayed to the bone by the howling gritstorms of the Wastes? And you complain because you are tired, you are hungry, you feel unwell, and you wish to condemn everyone to die because of your weakness?

THE WORK ETHIC IS HOPE

All is not lost. Apply yourself further. Resist the urges of weak flesh, of the temptations of failing work. Shirk is the cardinal sin of the Work Ethic; do your duty as assigned by SCORCH and do it well, and you can atone for your sins of the past, of the present, and of the future.

And if you actually see Shirk, see people actively resisting the Work Effort, easing back, waiting for death to take them and everyone? Report it to your SCORCH Commissar or your friendly local SCORCH Arbiter, then worry about it no more. For worry detracts from work, and in your zeal to protect the Work Ethic and better all of SCORCH and MoAG you do not wish to harm it further in the lesser quality of your own holy Work. For if Shirk prevails, so does Chaos, so does Conflict, and so does doom for us all.

THE WORK ETHIC IS HOPE

The Strategic Corps for Offensive Research and Corporate Hegemony is organized so YOU may contribute to the glorious Work Effort with your own most holy Work. It is SCORCH that creates the laws, SCORCH that enforces them, SCORCH that works for the greater good and the Work Ethic.

The organization of SCORCH is as follows: The apex of the pyramid, pinacle of our glorious society dedicated to the holy Work Ethic, is the Strategic Corps itself. This council determines the path of this great nation and consists of one member from each of the Ten Colors. Their meetings are too important for you to know; do not worry or think upon it and instead tend to your work.

THOUGHT IS NOT WORK

SCORCH sends its orders down to the Corporations: the Corporation of Work (CorpWork), the Corporation of Arms (CorpArms), the Corporation of Arbitration (CorpArb), the Corporation of Food (CorpFood), and the Corporation of Health (CorpHeal) in decreasing order of size. CorpWork is the largest, dedicated to assigning, maintaining, and supervising all of the holy Work of MoAG. It is the institution that ensures that all our Work not only matches the Work Ethic but conforms to the plan of SCORCH that will bring us to happier tomorrows.

THE WORK ETHIC IS HOPE

CorpArms designs the tanks that are our armor in the Ashen Wastes, that are our strength when surrounded by murderers and cutthroats, that are our protection against the Ten Colors ever going to war again. CorpArms designs the weapons that slay the shirkers, the armor that protects against the spiteful hatred of the outsiders, of the world that wishes to eliminate us before the Work Ethic brings us back to glorious harmony, the systems we sell for greater Profit for the glory of Work.

CorpArb enforces the laws of MoAG and the needs of the Work Ethic. They are the ones who punish the shirkers, those vile creatures who do not do their holy Work and who want only to see us all perish from the elements. They are the ones who keep us safe from the shirkers, and their mission is broad. They prosecute the shirkers identified by coworkers and supervisors of CorpWork. They patrol the factories and the dormitories, seeking out and destroying those who would shirk by seeking privacy, that vile condition most anathema to the holy Work.

They teach our children so they may go forth, their personal Work Ethics purified by good education and knowledge of the doctrine of SCORCH. They reteach those who may have forgotten, and release them back to atone for their insufficient Work by Working again, better than before. They punish those that do not learn, or resist learning, the glorious Work Ethic to protect us all from their shirk.

CorpFood ensures that every Worker is fed with the grain of the pits, rationing food and water in these dark times so that all may Work well and truly to a better tomorrow. Your 1500 kilocalorie diet is specifically determined to the best interests of SCORCH and your own work; do not give in to what your weak body tries to say. Accept your 200 grams of paika and soup with respect and understanding that the Work Ethic, the Plan to a more glorious tomorrow, depends upon it.

CorpHeal ensures the health of every Worker in the land. They are the ones who tend to you when you are sick and dispatch you so you may continue your holy Work. If you are bedridden, do not fear shirk, for you will be assigned new work that you are capable of. Even if you die, you will die free in the knowledge that you have heroically provided holy Work to MoAG and SCORCH until the very end. If you work hard enough, then the power of your will forces your body to comply, and you need not fear death.

THE CESSATION OF WORK IS DEATH

Every Corporation is split into Corporate Subsidiaries (CorSub), usually of several core groups: Operations, Support, and Technical. The Operations CorSub is responsible for the direct application of duties of the Corporation, and there may in fact be more than one Operations CorSub--CorpWork, for example, has Heavy Industrial Manufacturing, Refining, Agricultural, Light Industrial Manufacturing, and Drilling Operations CorSubs among many others. The Support CorSub is responsible for supporting the operations CorSub through administrative and coordination with other Corporations and CorSubs. The Technical CorSub supports the Operations CorSub through maintenance and/or procurement.

Every Corporate Subsidiary is split into Divisions (Div), which are as varied as the tasks as each CorSub is responsible for. Each Division is split into Subdivisions (SubDiv) which usually takes the specific task of each Division and pares it down to broader location, often ten, one for each of the Ten Colors. Each SubDivision is made up of Greater Offices (GreatOff) which takes the local tasks of each subdivision and again divides them by purpose. Each Greater Office is made of Offices (Off) which again divides by more specific location, for each location has its own context which is vital if Work is to be maximized. Finally, Offices branch themselves off into yet smaller SubOffices (SubOff) which are the final determination of SCORCH into the most precise matters possible. Anything that happens in MoAG is the responsibility of a SubOffice.

YOU are a responsibility of a SubOffice. You may not have realized it, but your Commissar is probably the head of a SubOffice and is thus responsible for YOU. It is your duty to ensure he gets the best Work from you, and it is his duty to ensure that you get what you need to do your Work. Together, your comrade-workers, your Commissar, and YOU can make an inseparable team whose combined Work is far in excess to the simple sum of its parts. It is YOUR responsibility to make this happen, for the greater future of MoAG and the glorious Plan of SCORCH.
