Belial IV:- In the Mouth of Hell

The entire region of space was lost, nothing could long survive here, for it was a place where the Immaterium and the real met, a place where Deamons shifted the very nature of a world on a whim. At it's core this place had been formed at the collapse of the Eldar Empire, and buried on many of the worlds here lay the worlds of the Eldar, from befall the fall. Here lost technologies and wonders lay buried under ruins, it was a place of secrets.

It was to here the Kionash of Tor Yvresse planned to go, rumours placed on Belial IV something of great importence, a blade made to kill God's. The Kionash would claim the blade for themselves, and any other lost secret of the system, and they would brave any dangers of the world that they must to do so, and so the forces where gathered and the journey prepared, as Scouts slipped into the Web to prepare the way, they had many tasks to perform.

It would be a time of clensing and fire, none who where not of the Kionash would be allowed to interfere in their goals, and so the first priority was to aensure none would.

((Hehe well this is fairly open, but some notes... Belial IV will be a hellish place, join but be prepared to lose a lot. Not saying it will happen but... It can. Secondly I would like to hear from any NS powers that have access to the Web Way... for some side skirmishes around this, I'm quite serious about a clensing if people want to RP it Some other things to note my nation is set pre-gothic war for those in the know. And lastly the Blade no longer kills Gods... but it is still powerful))

Occasionary the presence took on form, as it had now, and called worshippers to it, when the boredom grew too great to bear. Right this instant it sat therefore on a Throne that dwarfed that of any human, it's lithe graceful shape almost seemed in denial of it's obvious physical strength. Before it and around it a heaving mass of bodies lay, moving twitching, groaning. In pleasure and pain-that was pleasure. On a rack a man was flayed alive concious the whole time as the flesh was peeled from his body he screamed in ectasty thanking his tortourers for the gift they had given him. He was not faking his pleasure, nor had he been driven insane by it, rather he had asked, no begged to have this done to him.

The Creature slowly roused itself and walked across the room stepping onto the mass of people that lay before him, his clawed feet digging into the flesh of his worshippers, crushing the life out of many as he walked across the room, yet none tried to get out of it's way indeed many tried to manouver themselves into his path, hoping for it's touch as it crushed them.

Something had stired it's mind, something had changed and the millinia of tedium was about to end, that much it knew. And so it smiled as it survayed it's domain and called other more competent servents to itself, the pitiful wretches in it's throne room considered little more than toys to it, even in their dedication to it's will and the will of it's Master. Slowly they answered it's call.

"Captain, we have resuplied. We are ready for departure" Tactical Officer James said, pushing some more buttons on the screen.
Captain Morghue nodded, "warp 7, set course for Earth"
James nodded and pushed another series of buttons.

The DSS Explorer made it way through space, the ship itselfe had been on an exploration mission to the outer rimm of known space. Simple to find asuitable planet to go mining on, however, they had found nothing of intrest and had now resuplied and was on their way home.

"Sir" the ship started to shake.
"What is it?"
"There are some.. kind.. of.. what the he--"

The ship went out of warp and got sucked into a big.. hole of some sort, the space around them was green-like, after some fifteen minutes they exited the "hole". Infront of them layed a planet.
"Where the hell are we?"
"I have no idea, our sensors indicate that we are.. quite far.. from earth.. but exactly where we are. I have no idea" James replied. "No life signs, but.. its strange.. there is alot of energy comming from the planet.. I have no idea what kind of energy it is.. but it seems.. alive"

Suddenly a large blue ball, filled with energy appeard on the surface and closed in on the ship.
"Evade to 2-3-12"

The blue ball passed them with only a meter between itselfe and the ship.
"I think we can asume that this planet is a hostile planet. Take us out of here James"
"Sir.. the warp drives are not responding"

"Engeenering here, the wardrives are.. broke.. I cant figure out what the problem is..were stuck here" Vastock said through the comm system.

"Damnit" Morghue replied, "well.. keep an eye on that planet, and avoid any of those.. blue balls.."...

Something had arrived a vessel, Mortals, Unknowing, uninformed... the creature smiled it's favoured prey. Still it was not ready yet to intervene directly, it's mind raced out to encompass the intruders, to feel their minds and their thoughts...

It would approach them slowly seeking them in their rest, and in their dreams, for now through it wanted to taste them directly. Their scans hadbeen incorrect at least to some extent, and he was willing to reveal the truth to them, signs of the intellect behind the world would be brought forward. The Clouds parted and his own interferance was pulled away, revealing cities huge and ruined yet showing at their core a great power once resided here. Towers stretched into the sky lost amongest the clouds, yet where built with a graceful elegance, these where not the skyscrapers of earth, or the Hives of other worlds. Rather these where spires with a distinct appearance, to the orbiting craft it might almost seem as who ever had lived here, built their very cities to be works of art pleasing to the eye, even to those viewing from up high, from space.

He would bring his new toys to him, even as he pondered, this was but the start of what he had seen, not all.

Morghue looked at the clock, the worst thing with space travell was the complete absence of day and night. He closed his eyes, at this time, it would be night in Danneland, so it was time to sleep. The attacks from the planet had stoped for the moment and they were allowed to rest.
He slowly floated into the dreamworld, his body relaxed and the problems in the galaxy seemed to be deleted from his mind.
But something was there, in the background of his dreams. Something, or someone interfeered with what should be his sacred place, what should be his place. It haunted his dreams, where ever he went in his dreams, it followed and made it into a nightmare. Crushing all the joy wich he could find in the other reality.
Morghue woke up shivering, he looked around in the dark cabin.
"Computer, turn on lights at 50%"
The lights turned on and he got up on his feet.
"that damn planet is giving me nightmares" he mumbled to himselfe.

"Sir, you better come see this" he heard over the intercom system.
"Im on my way"
He got into his clothes and walked to the elevator, minutes later he was on the command deck.
"What is it"
James pushed a button and the planet came on the big screen infront of them. The clouds of the planet cleared and they could clearly see a city that reached far into the sky.
Even from space the arcitecture was amazing, so pure, so dramaticly beutifull.
They stood and admired the sight for some twenty minnutes and finaly Morghue broke the silence.
"Well.. there should be lifesigns"
James looked down on the reading on the screen, "well.. not there are.. but no exactly life signs.. but.. enery readings, not only one strong.. but several.. smaller.." he stoped again, the sight was truly amazing.
"I wonder what happend" Morghue replied.
James nodded, "mabye we should.. go down there?"
Morghue shook his head "not at this moment.. well.. I dont know, we need to get some rest now.. turn of the screen and go get some sleep, if we are going down there, there is no need to have tierd troops"
"Yes sir!" James turned of the screen and they both got some sleep, but still, they were haunted by someone, lurking in the shadows of their dreams. They got their sleep, but their dreams were never to be the same again..

The Creature shock itself, no it was approaching these mortals wrongly, they would first need to be tempted then turned. It withdrew from many of the minds, shaking itself free searching for the dreams of the weak, slowly it planned slowly. It's methods perfected over Millenia, it served it's masters will. First by promising all the senses could desire then twisting that desire till the follower could no longer tell the differance between pleasure and pain.

Tonight then it would offer pleasue entering the dreams of a few as the lover embodied, whatever a person held as the very picture of the perfect body, into their very fantasy's themselves, the unciouscious mind, it would be a restful sleep, if an eventful one.

Tor Yvresse...

Galdern nodded as he recieved the Rangers initial reports they had established a very basic perimater around the routes leading to Belial IV nobody would approach through the Web unobserved. Now the main group began to depart for the sealed gateway. A tremendous gamble was about to be undertaken, they would open the Gate, unseal it and hope that when they left they would have time to reseal it. Slowly the Aspects marched away from the Craftworld and towards Hell.

Morghues dreams slowly went back the normal, the being lurking in the shadow dissapeard and his dreams was now filled with his home, his love. Earth.

Though, on the other side of the ship, in another cabin, James layed smiling, dreaming, dreams of the most beutifull kind. A dark haired female drew him closer and ensnared him with promises of a golden plesure trip. With no hesitaton he kissed the female, and with that he was trapped.
He made love to the woman, and the plesure he gained from it was enormous, still only in his dream. But his will was slowly turned away from his mind and turned towards the planet.
The creature had James mind in his grip.

Following Morning

The whole crew sat in the Mess Hall, Morghue stood infront of them with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Well, what do ya'll think?"
James raised his hand at once.
"Yes James"
"Well sir, I think that we should go down there and find out what happend, its so beutifull, we must find out what happend!"
"Calm down, calm down"
Vastock raised his hand.
"Go ahead"
"I think we should go down there to sir, we cant simply ignore it"
Morghue nodded "any other thoughts?"
A young caddet, his name was Felchter and he to raised his hand.
"Yes Felchter?"
"I dont thinkt that we should go down there, I get a bad feeling from that place.. I dont know, it feels.. evil.."
James turned towards him, "How can you even think that its evil? I mean, look at it.. its beutifull, evil does not create beutifull things!"
Morghue put a hand on Jame's shoulder, "calm down, even though you seem a little bit to anxious to get down there. Vastock is right, we cant simply ignore to find out what happend. We will go down there, prepare a shuttle. I want Vastock, James, and fifteen others who want to come along. And you Felchter. Arm yourselves, even though it seems as a nice place, we cannot know what we will meet down there."

Three hours later

The shuttle exited one of the hangar bays from the DSS EXplorer and made its way down to the planetary surface. And as they got closer, the sight of the cities was overwhelming. As they got out of the clouds it allmost came as a shock, they had never in their entire life seen such beutifull architecture. Never before had they seen such amazing buildings.
The shuttle flew around a tower, just to have another sight at it.
"James, take us the core"
"Yes sir"
The shuttle made a sharp right turn between two buildings and increesed in speed.
"I cannot understand how something that has constructed something buetifull as this, could just.. dissapear.. there aint no sign of war either, all buildings are intact. And there are no readings that indicate any of the common energy or balistic weapons." James said.
They were close to the core now, and they flew over a small plateu that was large enough to land the ship. Softly the shuttle landed and Morghue went out first, the sun gazed at him and he looked around.
It was truly amazing.
"Okay, secure the area, be back in 15 and we'll make our way to the core. I guess that our best shot at finding out what happend is to go there. Lock 'n load people!"
The team replied "Yes sir!" and they went in groups of two to investigate the surrounding area.

It let them land, and would indeed let them settle in, he was a patient Creature, and would let them see more of this world first. He was rather proud of it after all, he and others like him had been responsible in part for all of this, although he had merely spurred on what was already occuring, keeping those truely responsible blind to what was happening.

The City itself had several landing areas, for craft of almost all sizes, some, the largest in many cases, seemed oddly placed away from what would be assumed to be the center of the City, as through while the work done there was large scale it was an after thought. In the centre of the City itself stood a circle of Spires, most seemed to be Temples, or some such buildings, others government buildings and another perhaps a museum or a Libary it would be hard to tell exactly from the outside. Each was unique, one of the buildings for example was almost surronded in an artificial stream, still flowing, another had a large Stone Sword The blade easily as large as Nelsons Colomn, Other buildings had other equally distinctive features outside displayed proudly.

((A Note for when you land and get closer to any of these, most of the walls are covered in delicate carvings and the like, yet also on many of them is graffeti the graffeti becomes even more common as you near the center of the city as if the very presence of these buildings made people even more determined to despoil the city.))

"Area secure sir, decpite that our sensors are going crazy. We've managed to set up a perimiter around here for some 200 meters. It isnt mutch, but atleast we'll be warned if something comes that close."
Morghue nodded and looked at the city infront of him, he couldnt grasp it. He couldnt understand it, how could anyone want to leave this place?

"Sir, I've discovered someting"
Morghues turned to Felchter who adressed him.
"What?"
"Well, it seems that we in fact are on the top."
"on the top of what?"
"Well, on the top of the city, we apear to be on the.. roof"
Morghue looked up at the sky, he could clearly see the buildings reach far into it. And this was suposed to be the roof?
"Show me"
Felchter lead Morghue into a small plaza, energy springs surrounded it and a minor statue of an angel was in the middle. Around the angel was a circle.
The circle was two meters wide, the pair walked up to the circle and looked down. They could see far, far down into the underground. Well, not exactly underground, it was more city underground than on.. the roof.
Morghue cleared his throat, the city beneath them had a yellowish light and the same beutifull arcitecture as.. on the roof. Though, it seemed to be a bit more "working class".
"Well, this is a big city.. let us make way towards the core"
"Yes sir"
The two departed from the plaza, it was amazing.. even the underground was a huge city.
When they arrived back at the shuttle all of the other men had reported back.
They stood waiting for the next command.
"James, does your gadget work?"
James shook his head, "well.. sorta.. I cant get any other reading than from what should be the core. All other readings are just.. gone"
Morghue nodded and thought for a while. "Well, I suppose its because the energy from the core takes out all other.. err.. energies.. Well, lets head out. Binks, Goomer. You two are in front"
"Yes sir!"

The small group of men departed from the shuttle craft towards what they thought to be the core.
Morghues looked back at the shuttle as they walked, somewhere in the back of his mind he knew that this was probably the last time they would see the shuttle.

They arrived at a large square, in the middle a large statue of some creature. Around it pillars of yello-greenish light. They couldnt realy tell, it was some form of light anyhows.
The ground was made out of bricks that had a sand-yellow colour. On the sides were huge tall buildings. There seemed to be some form of energy flow that went between them, the whole city seemed to be.. alive.. despite the lack of living creatures. As they closed up on one of the buildings, they could see beutifull drawings, patterns, animals, love.. They were allmost chocked by the drawings. Morghue walked up to the wall and gently stroked one of the patterns with his fingers, the pattern reacted and seemed to change due to his tate of mind. One pattern more beutifull than the other.
"Amazing" he said quietly. They walked to the door of the building, wich was made out of some soft yellow metal, two large circles was in the center. As they aproached the door it opend up itselfe and they could see the inside.
It was quite dark inside, only a weak blue light around the edges of the room inside.
Morghue picked up a flashlight from his backpack and turned it on. He walked inside, but as soon as he took one step inside, light after light turned on on the walls. The room was some thirty meters long and fifty wide. A vast number of.. shelfs streached far up. The building had no floors but was a single room. The group couldnt see the foor, nor the top of the shelfs.
The lights were large round thingies on the walls every five meters. They gave away the same strange yelloiwhs light as everywhere else in the city where they had been.
In the middle of the room was something that looked like a computer terminal.
Morghue walked up to it, it reacted at once and a hologram appeard over it.
Strange signs was visible.
James walked up to Morghue, "well, I get some readings.. it seems as if we are in a library, though I cannot access the information, I clearly get readings of a.. well, enormous ammount of info.." he looked up.. "I cant believe it.."
Morghue nodded, "nore can I, can you see if you can get something out of this terminal?"
James nodded and started to examinate the terminal while Morghue walked between the shelfs. They contained small datachips, he pulled out one of them, looking at it he saw more of the strange signs. He took a few more and put them in one of his pockets. He started to understand some of the city, it was clear that the shelfs themselves was quite useless, the solution to gather all that information could be done more effective. There wasnt any need for several shelfs. But he understood that, that didnt matter. They were constructed to look impressive, to impress the visitors of the library. To look beutifull.
"Sir" James yelled, Morghue walked over to him. "What is it?"
"Well, I've accessed something.. look!"
The hologram changed into a short film clip, it showed the city alive with people, strange people, the film never went close up at any of the beings, it was all quite blurry.. but still, it was a proof that atleast people had lived here before. The question was, when.
"Continue, see if you can dig up something that shows what happend to all of these.. I'll leave you here with two men, while the rest of us go and see whats inside another building.
"Yes sir, I'll do my best"

Morghue took the others with him and started to walk towards another of the buildings, the tiled-ground seemed to have a patterns as they proceeded across it, to bad that they werent on a higher level. Mabye then they could see what it was suposed to be. Morghue observerd the large statue in the middle. The creature looked.. frightening.. wich was odd, since everything else that they had seen was.. amazing..

The libary's central database was of course written to be read in Eldarlan, but as the end had been coming the last of the custodians had made a few modifications. He had wanted a memory of his people to survive and now it activated. A Blue light came from the ceiling covering James probing him, it was in part High Technology and in part a Psychic scan as much of the Eldar's knowledge was. Then a voice rang out from the device.

'If you are hearing this message then it has finnely ended, and I and am released from this life. Two Months before I started this I watched as 'Remberance of Eldaresh'{/I] Left us never to return. At the time I had not believed their warnings, even as I saw the chaos in the streets. We could not have fallen so far I believed that we could not pull back, or that our last desperate Gamble could not still save us. Now I know the truth it has begun. [I]And this too will end We should have acknowledged the simple truth.'

Slowly as the voice is spoken the images of the city on the monitor grow more focused, it shows a people living and talking, debating Philosophy in the streets with each other. Singing simply to sing, everyone there appeared wealthy beyond measure, Gems where a common piece of clothing. Occasionary a machine could be seen cleaning up the streets or repairing a building, or any number of mundane tasks.

'We where at the height of our power, a Super Power in this Galaxy unthreatened by any outside power. No work was done by our people, nor wars fought, we had machines to do all those mundane tasks, an entire peoples dedicated to the pursuit of Knowledge, and understanding. But we where also dedicated to the pursuit of sensory experiance...'

As the recording spoke the creature watched he remembered the Libarian he had been different, not so caught up in what he had done, but so much more satisfying. Rather than take part he had recorded, kept a record of all his works, and it had let him. Enjoying the idea immensly

James and the two men stood silent and watched the film as it played infront of him, showed him the life of those who lived here. Though, he could never figure out what it was that the man spoke of. It said "The truth" many times, but never said what the truth was. James began to push some of the buttons, hoping that it would display something after, or during.. the fall of these people.

Morghue and his men entered another building, the lights was already on and the inside was more amazing than the last one.
The walls were covered with beutifull art, people, looking just like them did ordinary things. The walls were made of some sort of sand stone. At the walls there was some kind of small rooms. Like the last building it was one big room. It was not so tall as the other, some 15 meters high. And the roof also had beufitull drawings. In the middle was a large pool, the water gave away a blue light wich filled the room.

The message continued now the images seemed to grow drker. At first it started lightly, Couples seemed far more amourous than they had before, clothing became more revealing, nothing shocking but the man's tone as he spoke hinted at something darker to come. 'This was how it started, we where safe, secure, Wealthy, and need do no work. The Merchent Princes who spent Hundreds of years sailing the stars where oddities for truely we did not need the wealth they generated, or the luxuries they returned with. There was no poverty, no struggle, no hunger. In short we grew Bored. We had beaten all the challanges of life banished them from our society and laughed at them with contempt.'

As he spoke the more Amourous couples took on a new twist as Couples began to openly copulate in the streets seemingly without a care for those watching, then it seemed time passed and they now performed for those watching, enjoying the attention. If this was how it ended mayhaps all would have been well, but even as the orgys began a new dark element entered into the lusts of the fallen. For they had experianced all that they could gain from simple Sex, now they sought darker pleasures, pain as well as pleasure. None minded, to recieve or to give the pain both became attractive to the people...

My Own wife joined a Cult I would rturn home to find her chained to the wall, as a stranger tortoured her, and her screams of pain mixed with her pleasure.

Now where the orgys had been the image showed roving bands of killers and tortourers, as law enforcment stood aside or shut down, turned off by the gangs...

I had a Child once, from the last times I lay with my wife, he last moments I have recorded.

A Woman lies in Child Birth as the Baby is born she holds the child for a minute love in her eyes before she turns to a Mass of screaming people and laughing hands the baby to the Leader of these people, The Child's last moments are filled with pain and the Sobs of the man who recorded this message can be heard. I could not save my Child, I could not save my wife from what she had become.

There is a long silence before the voice speaks again. Our darkness was in control, and yet what we did not understand till it was too late was what was happening, our reflection was being born. Until it was too late. We have but one hope left, the few amongest us not yet fallen into despair have been working on it. If you are standing here, then we failed but perhaps you can find hope in it.

The image changes one last time, to reveal a mass of devices so many that it would appear they must take up as much space as a City, and in the center lies a sword, that seems to crackle with power.

'We had meant for the Sword to kill a God, Find it and take it from this place, and perhaps it can still serve some function.

((OOC note as an aside it no longer has that much power, but it can deal death to Deamons... Such as the Creature still on this world... or a similar such power))

James was first arroused by the images that was showned to him. But when they changed into the plesure slaughtering, his gut turned upside down and he vomited on the floor. The two other men had to look away..
James reached his com-link.
"Sir, you better come over here.. I need to talk to you"
"Right.. Im comming"

Morghue waved for the others to come with him, he returned to the library and James told him what he had seen. He nodded and looked around in the library.. The hologram image still showed the sword.
"So.. it never said what happend after? Where they all whent?" he asked still looking around.
"No sir.. just.. this sword"
"This is getting more and more strange, we found a bath-house.. still working.. but not a single sign of people.. what happend to them?!.. let us find this sword, mabye it can give us som answers. I reccon its located in the center, deep underground, lets head down and see what we can find. Mabye there is some other computer terminal we can access and get more information.. there has got to be a map of some sort of this massive city"

The group went back to the small plaza, they looked down in the hole infront of them.
"well, tie the ropes around the statue and lets head down"
The group tied one rope for each person, and then they slowly began to lower themselves down. About some 30 meters below they landed on a small platform..

He roused his followers now the Sword the damnable sword, how could he have forgotten about it... Now he felt time was running out if they did what he had been unable to do and retrived that blade... He would be at risk. Not of just banishment back into the Warp but of None-existence, he would not allow this to come to pass.

His other followers had not arrived the creatures that where like him, they would need something to bring them forth. Death and carnage the pull of souls being released, the promise of a Feast... So be it, he would bring this to pass.

Calling his worshippers to him dragging them from their orgy they stood before him, a bizare mixture of races from across the Galaxy, all had those who where drawn to the dark Pleasures he offered. Tall Creatures of massive build brutal barbarians from a dozen races, other more lithe creatures, amongest the multitude where those that might be recognised by the crew. Humans, Elves, Dwarf's even. Now they listened as their master ordered them, most had no weapons but took up Metal pipes, others had swords, and more exotic weapons.... Some Whips and chains... They left the sheltered building and ran towards the interlopers, ready to sell their lives in their Master's name.

Morghue and his company of soldiers walked of the platform to a small metal path that went down.. down.. and down.
The surroundings was like above, though the light was different, the air was different. It was thick and more yellowish. They went over a small bridge and then down some stairs to a grand alley with energy springs, art and other various items that was just there becuase they were beutifull. It was surrounded by pillar and statues, the statues was more of an.. erotic art, the group continued forward.
"According to the...sensor.. we are on the right track" James said.
"Good.. lets keep going" Morghue replied.

After an hour they were still in the grand alley, amazed by the various architectural achievments.
"Sir! I've got movements.. some thirty meters from here, a hole bunch of energy signals closing in fast.."
"Hold here! Defence positions everyone.. James.. come with me and we'll check it out"

The two men walked fast forward, after some five meters they saw it.. the mass of.. beings that screamed.. no, they roared. Morghue and James were no psychics, nor did they have supernatural powers. But they could feel the dark force that was came with the beings. And their gut feeling told them that this wasnt a wellcome party, this party was here to say goodbye.
"I dont know sir.. but I dont think that--"
"No, you are totaly right. lets get out of here"
They ran back to the group, Morghue yelled that they should get back as fast as possible the hole and the dropship.
The group began to run back, ten minnutes passed and they could see the stairs and the brige in the distance, they could also see that it was overrun by the various beings. And they to moved towards them.. closing in from both directions. Morghue turned around, the other group had followed them..and they were not far from them, only some 10-15 meters. His head spun around..
what now.. what now?!
Then he spotted them, amongst the beings he could see them.
Elves..
Morghue raised his machinegun and aimed at the mob.
"FIRE!"
He pressed his trigger and bullets began to spray the mob, ripping apart arms and legs. Blood and gore spread over the mob on both sides, but it seemed to enjoy it more than it feared it, it allmost sounded as if they began to moan out of plesure sa the bullets hit them.

"Move out! head for that building over there!"
Morghue pointed at a building at the side of the valley, they quikly made their way into it...

The Deamon Prince dosn't want to share his world:) Oh and that any 40K nations you are allied with are set before the events of the Eye Of Terror campaign.... Since otherwise the Sword isn't there, and the world would be under Eldar occupation rather than Cultist Occupation ;)

The Cultists surronded the building milling almost as they gathered the courage for the storming the place. During the first engagment the creatures as that was all they where now, creatures, many had been killed, their numbers now only three Quarters had survived, of those many bore hidious injuries. Yet they laughed and screamed in pleasure when they recieved them. Undaunted by the pain, indeed revealing in it.

Those that had fallen from wounds to grievous to survive crawled or roled in pleasure, even as they slowly and painfully died, their blood staining the streets.

Now they came on again rushing the Building leaping and cavorting in simple joy... One through seemed to halt, and then a horrid ripping sound as his flesh peeled back and his Body fell discarded as if nothing more than cloathing.

From him emerged the first to answer the summons of the Deamon Prince a strange creature, almost a horse except it's body was thiner, it was the first of the lesser Deamons. The Mob grew more confident, truely they where blessed this day.

In the Web

The Eldar had arrived at the sealed Gate of the Belial IV and now Galdern began his job, unsealing the ancient doorway to the world, allowing his people to pass onto a planet that once had been their ancestor's home.

The building they had entered seemed to be a hotel, quite odd when one come to think about it. However, Morghue and the others didnt think of that at all, they kept fireing at the cultists.
"This.. this is just sick.. these are not alive they cant be!.. look at them.. they like to die.."
One of the soldiers said as he killed another cultist by placing a bullet in its head. The head exploded in blood and brain wich rained down on the other cultists, some of them just stoped and seemed to dance in it.
Morghue nodded "indeed.. that is not life.. that is mad.. just mad" he kept the finger on the trigger and killed another three cultists before a group of them were throwed to the sides by some.. beast.
"Aim for the head!" Morghue yelled, he had no time to be chocked like the other soldiers. It was all about staying alive, and he sure wanted to do that.
The floor was now covered with blood. James fired a grenade at the horse-demon wich laughed at him and cought the grenade with his mouth and then threw it backwards into the mass of cultists, an explotion of laughs as it tared bodies apart and limbs flew all over the place.
"Fu..ck.." James said as he jumped over a table of some sort to take cover as the horse-demon raised his forward hoofs in the air and then slammed them into the ground, the entire building shook and it seemd to just about keep itselfe standing.
Morghue and two other soldiers opened fire on the demon, spraying it with bullets as it made another attack on James, who in the last moment got away by throwing himselfe away from the table he had taken cover behind.
In the corner of Morghues eyes had could see one of the soldiers getting beating down by the mod, and then the other. He turned around and slammed his rifle into the head of an cultist Elf. His head cracked open, but it was to late for the two soldiers. They were carried away by the cult, screaming in pain as they got hit with the various objects the cultists had brought with them.
Morghue stood not even a half a meter away from the cultist when he opend up fire on them, turning their guts into grinded meat, blood splashed all over him.
"Place some goddamned explosives on the other wall and blow us up a hole!"
He yelled as he slowly backed from the crowd. James came to his side and helped him to push back the mob.
"What about that.. horse?" Morghue asked.
"I dont know.." James looked around, it was gone.. "What the.. he--"
"If its gone its good.."
A loud explotion could be heard, they had blowed up a hole in the wall and they ran through it. Comming out on the other side they stood on a egde, down below.. far down below they could see another level, more buildings, just like this one..
"There is no end of all this.. " Morghue mumbeled as he slowly walked to the corner of the building. Two of the soldiers kept fireing into the hole to prevent the mob to follow, the rest followed Morghue.
"There must be some sort of transportation system.. I mean.. a city this big.. they cant have walked all over the place" James said.
Morghue looked around the corner, the road was clear, not a mad being in sight. In the background he could hear the machineguns smattering.
"Yea.. lets.. lets have an eye open for that"
He ran across the street to the back of another building, James followed him and the rest of the group exept two.
"What the.. GET OVER HERE!" Morghue yelled.
"NO SIR! GO AHEAD! WE'LL COME LATER!"
Morghue shook his head.. so be it..
"Lets continue this way.."
They were going away from the hole where they came from.. away from their shuttle, to a certain death...

There where indeed many Transport systems about the city, or had been, and on many buildings there remained what appeared controls for calling them. Grav Tech had been the main method of transport for the City, and it was possible a few might have still worked, if the humans could press the right controls, for they where written in runes.

The Deamon-Prince meanwhile nodded as he looked over the reminder of his Cult, so few left as the Machine Gun fire had eaten through them, but the blood spilled had been enough, as had been evidenced by the summonging of a Beast of Slaanash. Now it would be up to him to pierce the final barriers. He called his handful remaining followers back to him.

Rejoice my Children, for you have pleased me greatly, I offer you that greatest gift I can bestow upon you. A Place of honour in my Father's Court where you shall sit at her feet and recieve her blessings It's voice rang out in their heads and a collective scream of pleasure arose fom their mouths.

With a nod from the hidious creature two robbed figure stepped forwards.
Begin the ritual

Slowly and with a deliberate care they walked amongest the remaining Cultists Selecting a few and then seemingly without warning drawing a blade and slicing each of them, drawing from them blood, and and pain.

The Blood drawn from the rapidly dying worshippers was used as paint upon the floor as symbols that seemed to twist and writhe even as they where drawn where layed out, the last in the center was the symbol of their Master's Master. Twinlinked male-and-Female signs, encased in a circle. Now the chanting began.

Elsewhere

The gate had been unsealed and the Kionash stepped upon the maiden world, Galdern smelling the air of a world his Ancestor's Ancestor's had left and immediatly sensed it wrongness...
'He is here in Physical form, and he is calling others to him, Something is occuring here that should not be. There are others here before us!' With a snarl the host of the Kionash turned, to hunt if the beast was awake, it would be looking for the sword, and would soon sense their presence.

The small group of men ran up to a platform.
"This looks like some kind of station, look! there is a console.. lets see"
James began to examinate the runes that were uppon it. His vision was black for a moment, a large bang could be heard.
One of the men had taken his rifle and smashed it into the console, wich made a funny beep and seemed to react possitive to the treatment.
"Wha.. who.. never mind"
A box of some sort arrived shortly, made of light blue steel and half of it was made out of glass. A door opened up and the group stepped in, the door closed behind them.
"So.. now what" Morghue said.
"Another console sir" one of the men pointed at the *front* of the box.
Morghue walked up to it and looked at it for some minutes and then decided.
"I'll..press that one" his finger slowly pushed down one of the runes wich he thought meant forward.
Indeed he was right, it did go forward, but it whent to the left and right a couple of times in an amazing speed.
The city passed by them as a great yellow blurr.
"in..tre..sting" James said trying to make out something of what passed by.
"We are infact closing in on the core, the energy readings are getting stronger by the seccond. Though.. the temperature.. is dropping"
"Yea.. I can feel that" one of the men said as he shivered.

The transport box stoped at another platform and the group got of, imediatly after the last person had stepped of the box it dissapeard with haste.
"All of this is just...strange" James said, Morghue nodded.
They stood looking out over a great landscape, they were high above everything else. Turbo lifts seemed to be the only way to get down.
In the horizon they could see the outlines of something realy huge.. it seemed to be a pyramid of some sort. They couldnt see at this distanse. The strange thing was that they were underground and from their location the pyramid seemed to be atleast two or three houndred meters high.. and well wide.. they didnt want to think about.

"Well.. down we go" Morghue said and walked to a turbolift, five minutes later he was on the ground. Two minutes more and the rest of the crew was with him.
"Brr" one of them said, "That was one strange ride, and I dont get how that platform can stay up there without nothing to hang on to"
Morghue shook his head, "I dont know.. but tell me.. have you seen one normal thing since we set foot on this cursed planet?"
"no sir.."
Morghue looked around himselfe, they seemed to be pretty far from the pyramid looking building. He took a few steps into a street.
"Living quarters.. this must have been where the ruling men and women lived.."
The others nodded and followed him, their moral had droped to the ground. Most of them had figured that they would probably not make it out alive.
The atmosphere in the group was realy bad and tense, not that they didnt like one another. It was just that, creatures shouldnt be laughing when they got shot in their stumichs. Those impresions could change a man, totaly.
James spoke, "The readings are getting stronger and stronger, not to sound to classic.. but I bet that our best chance to find that sword is in that very large building.."
Morghue nodded, "lets head for it.. any other life signs?"
"Not so far no.. we seem to be safe" James replied.
"For the moment.. only for the moment" Morghue said as he began to walk towards the pyramid. The building around them was three stories high, made out of the same yellow stone as the rest of the city was built in, the same beuitifull architecture. Though, the patterns and artwork on the walls was more.. hardcore.. It was not only naked women and naked men, no.. now they ate on one another, drank their blood and laughed. A true madness was documented on the walls.
"This is just sick" Morghue said with discust in his tone. "Who the hell would want to live like this.. how could anyone allow people to turn into these.. beasts?" The rest of the group was silent, but they thought the same.
They slowly made their way to the pyramid..and none of them knew what waited for them on the way...

The Circle continued to pulse with barely contained power as the remaining cultists one after another stepped into it, to be slain by the power of what was being called, then another would replace them. and slowly a doorway began to form in the air, a rent in space and time, as the fabric of the universe was ripped aside and denizens of the Immaterium took on physical form.

Elsewhere closer to the humans other forces stired, more worthy followers of the perverse they stalked their prey, armed with actual weapons and a few bearing the Shurikan rifles of the past masters of this planet. Numbering only twenty these worshippers had been tasked the role of delaying the interlopers until the Deamonic forces of their Master could finish them. Silently they moved into position and then without warning or sound to give them away the Deadly Shurikans where spat out from the ancient weapons slicing through the air at hidious speeds towards their foe.

The Waygate Now the Kionash where through and marching, in order, towards where Galdern could feel the rent in space forming. The Kionash had come home and had only one guide to follow, the pull of the Deamonic.
