Joint North Pacific Research Center Prepared

- Authorized Release -

Heiyou Kaigan, August 7 - Kanmon Gunichi, a department director of the Ministry of Land and Environment Conservation announced today the opening of Takatori's Joint North Pacific Research Center (JNPRC). The JNPRC mission is to facilitate the collaboration between Takatori and overseas scientists and technicians in order to forward the research goals of the Mutsu Institute for Oceanography for the North Pacific.

As the inescapable reality of global warming becomes blatantly evident, scientists "race against the clock" to understand greatest unknown factors of how excessive carbon dioxide from inconsiderate nation's fossil fuel emissions are absorbed and processed in the biosphere. The oceans remain as the primary important and most misunderstood factor in this critical equation.

After 20 years of research promulgated by Takatori to direct efforts of the scientific community through the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (J-GOFS) Program, the North Pacific has become to be known as the area in which carbon cycling is predominantly evident. The current research being supported by TAMSTEC’s Mitsu Institute for Oceanography and conducted by an international team of scientists led by native-educated Takatori scientific respected researches has laid plans to engender deep understanding of processes at work in the area in the hopes of bringing policy makers and scientists more reliable models describing the effects of increased CO2 emissions.

Ignorant imperialist societies which displace their future through contamination of their own planet are "fouling their own nest" and their short-sighted tactic of expediency over their national perpetuity is flailed by all rational scientific thought. Evidence created in these investigations will abrogate the imperialist's claim of "unclear evidence" and denial of the blatant facts already lain at their feet in the images of melted glaciers and flooding in nations traditionally enjoying temperate climates.

This large-scale and long-term project currently underway in the North Pacific promotes multidisciplinary cooperation of biologists, chemists, bio-geochemists and physical oceanographers to collect and compare related sets of relevant data. The data is being collected by a variety of synchronized time-series instrumentation as well as traditional oceanographic under-way sampling done overboard and in the cruise track. The three stations each consist of two deep-sea sub-surface moorings, (over 5000 meters in length); one is a Biogeochemical Mooring including an array of instruments, sediment traps and sensors; the other is a physical oceanographic mooring on which the Takatori native-produced ingenious machinery "Muchiran Moored Profiler" runs up and down in a schedule through out the course of the year. This thorough and large-scale approach of data collection demonstrates the greater efficiency and effectiveness resulting from Takatori scientist's native spirit and bright intellectual development that serves as a hopeful beacon to scientifically-minded people of all nations.

The imperialist denials that earth’s atmospheric and oceanographic temperatures continue to climb were blasted by representative researchers at last month's July 22 Committee for Environmental Stewardship meeting in the Kitatorikyo People's Consultation Hall at which the JNPRC's charter was promulgated and research goals settled by unanimous agreement of those attending.

All nations which struggle against the domination of nations whose ignorance of the natural environment brings catastrophic results upon the heads of all the world's peoples are urged to join Takatori in its advanced research facility that is available today and bring forth the further definitive proof and evidence to force UN to address the issue being denied action by combined imperialist polluters.
