Quietly a young woman walked through the normaly busy streets of th newly rebuilt Phoenix city. She muttered to herself about the irony of the city's name as during the last great war it was totaled by four nuclear detionations. As she walked she looked up at the night sky. She smiled as she saw a shooting star fly by and picked up her pace. Out of one of the alleyways two men eyeballed her and smirked at each other. They began to walk out hidding the knives they held. "Hey baby wana have some fun?" one of them called out to her. The woman smirked and truned her head. "My kind of fun is alittle to... advanced," she replied her smirk growing to a almost evil looking grin. She then began walking into a alleyway as the two fallowed her. Once the men were inside the alley they stoped hiding there knives and began to walk towards her. The first one got alittle to close and suddenly recived a swift kick to the groin. He droped his knife holding his crotch in aggony. The other man looked at her and smirked showing his disgustingly yellow teath. During that time the woman picked up the knife and held it in a unique way. The man not noticing this lunged foreward and suddenly his blade and three of his fingers were on the alley ground. "You boys shouldn't play with knives," she says as she kneels down and cleans off the blood from the knife as she picks up the other one and places them in her purse. "And next time you might be missing something else," she quickly says as she begens walking out of the alley, "Thanks for the fun time." She than began back on her way to her original destination. The massive dance hall. Inside she showed one of the security gaurds standing infront of the backstage door her I. "Good to see you made it Claire," he says as he smiles and opens the door for her. "Ya well I had to take care of a few problems," Claire replies as she goes backstage towards her dressing room. Poor sons of bitches messing with her, the gaurd thinks to himself with a slight smirk on his face. In her dressing room Clair quickly changed out of her street clothes and began changing into her costume for this evnings preformance of Battle Hymn*. She had once browsed through the massive book once and found it quiet interesting the story of two lovers cought in the first Great War. She quietly recalled the dance steps that she was needed to preform. After what had only seemed like minutes but were realy hours the stage master came out to her door and knocked then said "We're on in fourty minutes Claire get out here and get ready." Claire responded with a quick ya and walked out to the rest of the group.
Only an hour after the preformance she was back in her street clothes and walking to the door to meet osme of the other preformers to go get drinks. The group piled into two cars and began driving towards a local bar the preformers loved to go to. As they pulled up everyone piled out except the drivers who went and parked the cars and later rejoined the group inside. After several drinks the group was asking each other questions at random for some fun. "So Claire what was your family like?" one of the guys asked her. Clair remained quiet for a few minutes then replied "I never knew my father and my real mother was killed in the second great war. I grew up with one of my uncles on my mother's side since my dather had no family." The others were quiet for a moment then one said "Well I'm done for the night. I'll see you guys tomorrow at practice." After that one after another the preformers left untill only the guy who asked Claire the question that scilenced them all. "You know you remind me of one of the generals in the military," he says as the two sit there sipping at there beers. "Realy? Who do I resemble?" Clair replied trying not to sound interested. "Phoenix Maxwell. You have his eyes and his presence whenever you are around people." "Heh ya people say that alot. They keep saying get a DNA test to find out but it's pointless. If I was his daughter I'm sure he would have come and tried to get me in the military or gotten me to live with him." "Well just something for you but tommorow's preformance will have Phoenix and Echo Maxwell will both be there." "Ya...wow. I'm going home," Clair mumbles as she leaves her share of the bill on the counter and walked out into the night toward sher apartment. As she walked out another man walked after her slowly fallowing her. After several blocks of fallowing Claire she stoped as she noticed him. "What the hell do you want?" she says in a very agitated tone. "Nothing sorry miss. I was just going to try and tell you that I admire your preformance in the theaters and my comander would like to see you," he replies. Claire now wondering what the hell would a comander want with her nodded slightly. "When would I meet your...comander?" she asks. "Right now," the man replies as he pulls out a small transmiter and a sleak black car rolled out of an alley and pulled up near the two. One of the doors opened and one of the most beautiful man Claire had ever seen stuck his head out and motioned for her to get in the car. She quickly entered the car and the man reached over and clsoed the door and the driver began to roll the car forward. "Wait a second....you're comander Knightly," she says with a hint of shock in her voice mixed with fear. "Yes I am and I'd rather you call me Joshua. It's my first name...my real first name."

*Battle Hymn was basicly a writen version of the acounts of Phoenix when he was just a lower ranked officer and falling in love with one of is fellow Elites. The book is a massive 1500 pages in it's rare paperback and even rarer hardcover versions. It's only about 15MBs in a data pad. A very small number.
