The CLP is a Modern/Near modern tech with a hint of futuretech with its personality Relocation project. It can also interface with Fantasy due to its connection to what it refers to as Virtual Realms (in which the Mindpatterns of a dicesed individual are recreated and run on a computer...)

So i suppose the best category is all of the above ;)

I would certainly like to go for the Future-Tech list, although I don't know how well-known or good at RP-ing I'd have to be to get on the list. I know that on one hand my nation has sentient machines, radiation shields, virtual reality equipment, and stuff like that, but on the other hand things like space flight are just starting to catch up, like how we're constructing a space elevator in my region. (Note: I seriously doubt that all other nations in my region consiter the year and tech level to be around 2520 C.E.)

I'd advise you to go with post-modern for now, and then make the eventual move to future tech, when you feel your nation is fully prepared. What do you think?

A few updates on "my" nations:
-Agent Xanthal no longer exists.
-New Xanthal no longer exists.
-Mark Xanthal down as looking for RPs, because I've got nothing to do these days.

I'm not sure which area to RP in, me being new at NS. However I enjoy RP and writing stories.

I like modern and 21st century techs.

For example, I might delve into plasma energy, robotic assembly lines, fusion power, mag-levs, gauss cannons, SDI defense, and related near-future techs. On the other hand, I enjoy modern settings such as post-Vietnam, 1980's, 1990's, 2000's, and 2010's.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm flexible and I would enjoy RP'ing and working with a 1950 - 2100 A.D. timeframe.

I might use limited interplanetary fleets, mostly mining ships, cargo ships and such. I doubt I'd be using space battleships or the sort. The space based stuff I *might* be using will be outposts / colonies on Mars, asteroid mining, and at the extreme, Stargate travel a'la Stargate SG-1 series.

A good Earth universe reference for my space program would be either Event Horizon, or the Doom game universe (without the demons and what-not).

I also will do "Sliders" tech, like the TV show "Sliders". This would actually be an excellent RP tool, so my nation can visit all the various Earths, with all these different nations placed on different Earth landmasses, like the Reich, Communist America, etc. Earths.

We updated to future tech

Xikuang plays at Modern+1, which means that it is possible that we might have technology whose develoment is reasonably envisionable now. So, while we might be involved in the development of a reasonably advanced orbital space station, say, we won't have Giant Space Cruisers.

Well, I sometimes don't RP entirely Modern Tech (like the spacefleet from Klonor that I almost never use, or the time when my dead leader 'descended from Valhalla' and came back to life), but for the most part, I RP solely modern tech.

I'm aiming for Modern/Fantasy, but I have yet to RP on the forums - I feel awkward jumping late into RPs, so I'm on the lookout for a new one.

Please move me from Modern to Post-Modern. Since I was added to the list, my tech level cranked up a "few" notches.

Since most of my ideas probably defy 20th century science, put me down as Future/Modern/Fantasy tech. If I were modern, I'd be stuck on my planet anyway. :P
I put fantasy in because our world hs a sizable minority of Elves and Trolls. They're mostly in the background though, the humans hold all the power.

I'm also looking for any small RPs, alliances, trade bargains and the like. That was probably T.M.I. though.

I'm a bit confused as to what my nation really is now. When i first started, i dabbled in near-future tech, which would be things like PDL missile defences and 3G jet fighters, but i barely RP nowadays, and i find that i'm more of a character RPer than anything. Even so, my nation, i believe should be set as near-future, but with a dash of fantasy added to it, since i'm hosting the Battle Arena Tournament and all.

UT, you suggest a category for me.

I put you in Modern/Future/Fantasy for now. If at a later time you specialize in one or two of those categories, we can always move you. Good? :)
