Austar Union

OOC: Hey, some of you would be aware of me from the International Incidences forum, some of you would be wondering what the heck im talking about. Basically whats happening OOCly, is that I have grown dismayed at the lack of roleplaying level which the II forum has sunk to, and I also basically want to start the Austar Union again as a new nation in the Nationstates Forum, rather than representing the old one from International Incidences. Now that i've confused the hell out of you, let us begin.
Lady Sara looked over the pond, which was reflecting the moonlight above. Never before had she noticed the sheer magnificence in the garden before. Perhaps she wondered, that it was the moonlight which enveloped the garden in such beauty.
Lady Sara had lived within the palace grounds for all her life. And now that she was getting into her second decade, she was growing day by day with curiosity of the world around her. From what she had heard, the nation was bright, luscious and filled with life. How much she wanted to travel beyond the palace walls was beyond comprehension, yet she had to live within her father’s restrictions.
King Philopas was a powerful man, well known throughout the kingdom. Although he struggled with minor surges of mental illness during the early stages of his life, he managed to live, and keep his integrity. The people of his nation adored him. Everything he said, everything he did, everything he proclaimed was as if God had said it himself. People would flock to hear him make the smallest speeches, even if they were insignificant.
The kingdom itself was powerful in all its glory. The people, generally peaceful at heart, yet aggressive when defending the honor of those who stood around them. They were resourceful, willing to use any tool to achieve their goals. Perhaps why Austarian society was so successful, everyone wasn’t afraid to use his or her tools to assist in achievement.
Perhaps in the whole of humanity, the greatest intelligence known, would be the use of tools. With just your own hands, only the small can be achieved, and yet with the hands of many, with the tools around you put to use, one can achieve the impossible. And if the impossible could be achieved, then so could a peaceful society, which is known to be uncommon in the global world, and even the stars above.
This was an ideal widely shared throughout the kingdom, from the very bottom of society, to the very top. King Philopas himself held the idea, and promoted it strongly throughout the Austarian ranks of society. This is why that when he found out that his brother Prince Alfredo died, his instant thoughts were of the possibilities of what could be achieved, rather than what he had lost.
Sitting at his throne, he pondered silently about his late brother’s life. His brother was a fiercely respected man, leading the nation into the infamous Battle of Gurskunk, which secured the throne position for Philopas, despite the odds of the battle. With just a regiment of 50 000 loyalists, they managed to re-secure the capital against an armed rebellion of a million.
For that, and other things, Philopas loved his brother dearly. Yet he was not sad, for even in death, Prince Alfredo, stood victorious in his heart. His brother had been a fierce warrior in the world, and finally, he had been a fierce warrior within himself, fighting a losing battle with cancer for eighteen months. And under God’s lordship, Philopas would honor him.
Opening the drawer of his wooden desk, King Philopas considered the possibilities of achievement, and began to write a letter to all people of the world. His brother’s death, would at least provide the beginning of a new age for the people of the Austar Union.
To whom’s eyes bestow upon this letter,
In honor of my brother, the late Prince Alfredo, the people of the Austar Union will be hosting a nation-wide funeral session, whereupon people from all over the world will be invited to attend. My brother was a powerful man, the leader of armies, but as of lately, he has been weakened after a long battle inside, with cancer. Finally, just three days ago, he was found in his bedroom, finally in death. I will always remember my brother, for it was him who secured my place in power, and he had always helped in my time of toil. Therefore, I am honoring him with this occasion.
Please consider this letter as an invitation to the Austar Union, to my brother’s funeral. I plan to have the funeral, and afterwards everyone attending will be welcome to the Imperial Palace grounds, where I will be hosting a grand-dinner also in his honor.
As a newer nation to this circle within the globe, we wish to use this time to forge diplomatic relationship with many countries and leaders, so that our time, and your time is fruitful. Please consider this letter and invitation, and we will be eternally grateful for your presence, should you choose to grace us with the honor.
Yours Faithfully,
King Philopas
