The Dominion of Clarkovia is a very large, devout nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Conscripts serve for a year in training battalions in brigades with regular battalions and that have a training function and reservist units doing their 2 weeks annual refresher training. They then return homes where they participate in drills once a week in their local neighbourhood Citizen Defence unit.

Not all conscripts serve with the military however – some serve with the Gendarmerie (Rural) or Metropolitan (Urban) Police who have in war a military police function – these in the reserve act as resource for the police in the event of civil disorder. Others (epically objectors) do their years conscription in the Medical Services, the Clarkovian national health service.

The Dominion of Clarkovia has a population of 50 million. Using Israel as a model I’d say we have 1.5 million troops but less regulars than Israel due to less foreign support and less immediate threats.

At anyone time there is 130,000 Regulars (280,00 including police.)

Alla rmed services use the same standard small arms – G3 assault rifles and Uzis for personal weapons. The P38 is the standard issue pistol. MG3s are the standard machine gun with some L7A2 Brens also used on vehicles as auxiliary weapons especially by the Border Patrol and police forces.

Approx 60,000 Conscripts doing their National Service.

An all regular Armoured Brigade is based in the Capital with a Squadron of ex-Indian Chieftains, some Scorpions light tanks and FV-432 APCs.

Each a year a Regular battalion becomes standby battalion for the Dominion’s UN Commitments getting Alvis Spartan APCs.

There is also a Commando Battalion based in the Captial designed to provide support to the civil power.

Artillery is LG105s. All units unless stated are truck borne.
