The Grand Lodge of Aerion announced recently intentions to expand "internationally". There are approximately 300 million Freemasons in Aerion, spread out among 12,000 lodges. Freemasons are fairly secretive in Aerion, not showing their open affiliation by rings or otherwise, etc. Most are political leaders, captains of industry, community leaders, etc.
The Grand Master issued the statement that any nation that would like to form "lodges affiliated with the Grand Lodge of Aerion" may have an group of Aerion Freemasons sent to help establish a lodge for those interested, and instruct in the ritual. They will also aide in construction of lodge buildings.
The requirements to be a Freemason in Aerion are as follows:
I. Be a man at least 18 years of age.
II. Belief in a Supreme Being
III. Be of sound mind, and body. Be an upstanding citizen with good morals.
IV. Be free (Born free, not in bondage such as a slave)
It is expected the two optional Rites of Masonry, that the Aerion Jurisdiction of the Scottish Rite and the York Rite will soon accept international members as well.
