No need to use 'em any more, folks.

Jolt has full keyword searching, unlike the author-only searching on the old forums, and you can also subscribe to threads. To do this, click on thread tools and then choose 'Subscribe to thread'.

The threads you have subscribed to will appear in a nice tidy list in your account profile, and you can refer to them at any time at your convenience.

So, in short, tags are obsolete, and also somewhat rude, as they spam up threads for no discernible gain. So are bumps. You can easily search for threads and even ensure you never have to search for them. So, try to kick the habit, kids.

This is what Lemmy told me when I asked this long ago.

To get big letters, fertilize 'em
To get italics, blow on them from one side
To get bold letters, go over them a couple of times with your pen...

ok...
you have to include the words you want in "fancy" letters between coding indicators.

you put the "start here" indicator in [ ] these at the beginning,
and the "end here" indicator in these [/ ] (WITH the slash) at the end.

use a "i" for italics
use a "b" for bold
use "size=___" for large (replace ___ with a number, and to end [/size]
use "color=___" for different colors (replace ____ with a color, and to end [/color]

some colors work, some don't. some sizes works, some don't.

vBulletin seems to use a different sizing system than phpBB. For instance, in places where I used to use <size=18>, I now have to use <size=4> to get the same effect. (I think the default size here is 2.) Let's see... (tests start at size 1 and go to 2, 3, 4, etc.)

1. Snub Nose 38 is now interim president
2. WCC must convene and select a new President
3. That President and the WCC must select a new Vice President

Total n Utter Insanity will be in charge of convening the WCC and deciding who the new President will be.

Snub Nose 38 is NOT a candidate (job-wise, don't have the time).
Kaze Progressa is a candidate. If KP is selected to continue as President, then the selected VP will take the reins until KP returns.

It's up to the WCC to determine who the other candidates are, how they will make the selection, et al.

Time is, as they say, of the essence.

Too bad I didn't have access to a computer for a week in a half, I was unable to post my Roster or RP so now I am losing 5-0 each time, damn it.

Dear West Pacific:

Just a little note that I hope all recent additions to our WCC family will read and heed.

1. There is no penalty for not posting a roster, and there is no bonus for posting a roster. Posting a roster is encouraged, helps other's (and u) to RP matches, and can be fun in itself if posted ingeniously. But it don't get ya points, and it don't stop ya from gettin' points.

2. RP bonus can effect the match scores. RP bonus CANNOT create a 5-0 score. It might make the difference between a 4-0 and a 5-0, or it might make the difference between a win and a draw. But it aint all that big.

3. The results of the matches are generated by "random-number-generating-devices" (don't anybody dare correct that and show how ignorant I am ( ;) ). The RP bonus is a SMALL part of it.

4. Rather than posting something that complains about the match results, go over to the RP thread and take that emotion and use it to create an RP that explains the lose (played the match on a swiss-cheese surface, the entire side was down with Porcupine Flu, freaky little dust-devils (like mini tornados) kept picking up the ball and stuffing it in the goal - or what ever you like, as long as you don't offend anyone or break any of the established WCC RP rules).

Again - please don't get angry or upset by this little note. We all get more fun out of playing the game (RPing, that is) than complaints (however nicely phrased) - including the "offended" party (that's U).

To get big letters, fertilize 'em
To get italics, blow on them from one side
To get bold letters, go over them a couple of times with your pen...

you have to include the words you want in "fancy" letters between coding indicators.

you put the "start here" indicator in [ ] these at the beginning,
and the "end here" indicator in these [/ ] (WITH the slash) at the end.

use a "i" for italics
use a "b" for bold
use "size=___" for large (replace ___ with a number, and to end [/size]
use "color=___" for different colors (replace ____ with a color, and to end [/color]

some colors work, some don't. some sizes works, some don't.

you can do this if you want

Well, the influence of the non-existent RP bonus is not high enough to make you lose that highly. It is rather the fact that you are unranked, i.e. ranked 200th. Just RP now and your results might improve :)

There is an RP bonus (there better be - I don't recall any discussion on eliminating it).

It is small.

I think RP bonus counts more in the BoF than in the WC - because one of the aims of having the BoF is to encourage WC participants to RP (cause we like to read 'em)

Not to worry - just go w/the flow. SN38 is among the vets (missed WCs 1 and 2, been here ever since) and I am regularly being beaten by sides who were newbs just a few cups ago. Hang in there.

Melly, when you are at the stage we are at (30-50 in rankings) it becomes more of a luck thing on getting into the finals... Because we are always going to be either the team ranked in the last qualifying spot (2nd) or the first non qualifying spot (3rd) in our group, and until we can break into the finals and get some points, we arent going to break into the top 20 that would make our lives so much easier.

However, just look at some of these Non-Rping nations. They dont climb to the top 50 in rankings... they settle in the low 100's after not RPing for a few cups, maybe the lucky ones in the upper 70's, and they are never going to get into that top 25 without Rping. We, on the other hand, will get there. It may not be this cup, and it may not be the next, but in time, we will be facing each other in a World Cup Quarter Final, and boy is that gonna be fun to RP :)

Teams that Are ranked 200 and dont RP should be losing 6, 7-0... Just like in Real life, i use the example of Australia, ranked 50th in the world, playing American Samoa, ranked 200th in the world, and defeateing them 31-0, with a backup squad....

Snub Nose 38, currently ranked 12th. First 5 matches - 1 win, 4 loses. One of those loses, by the way, to HypercapitaliZm. And, not meaning to toot my own horn (oh, what the heck...TOOT!) but SN38 has a pretty decent record/reputation for RPing.

On the other hand, I am FIRMLY of the opinion that while there should be an RP bonus, and that rank should count, they should both count a little bit and the results of each match rely mostly on a random generator.

Internationstatal Rating System for Actual Performance related to Expected Performance

The Vilita Peformance Index, a ratings system initiated in World Cup 15, and Revamped for World Cup 16, used to rate the performance of any National Team in any particular Competition based on their performance within their group in relation to their expected performance (Projected through the KPB Rankings system). Or, as a representative from Kaze Progressa put it: VPI not as a ranking system, but a good measure of how teams are performing relative to expectations. For example, in Euro 2004, Greece would have had a higher VPI than Spain and France while all were level on 4 points after 2 matches.

A Team Performing EXACTLY in line with expectations would theoretically have a VPI of 0.00. The standard deviation would be that Ratings of (-00.50 - 1.50) would be considered "Within Expected Performance Range". Nations with a VPI above 1.50 would be said to be "Overachieving" and below -00.50 would be "UnderAchieving".

------------The Vilita Peformance Index, a ratings system initiated in World Cup 15, and Revamped for World Cup 16, used to rate the performance of any National Team in any particular Competition based on their performance within their group in relation to their expected performance (Projected through the KPB Rankings system). Or, as a representative from Kaze Progressa put it: VPI not as a ranking system, but a good measure of how teams are performing relative to expectations. For example, in Euro 2004, Greece would have had a higher VPI than Spain and France while all were level on 4 points after 2 matches.

------------A Team Performing EXACTLY in line with expectations would theoretically have a VPI of 0.00. The standard deviation would be that Ratings of (-00.50 - 1.50) would be considered "Within Expected Performance Range". Nations with a VPI above 1.50 would be said to be "Overachieving" and below -00.50 would be "UnderAchieving". Although Ineptia has a better Ranking than Lykaia, and Lykaia scored more points than Ineptia, Ineptia's move from Second to First in the Table is a bigger step than Lykaia's, as the Strength of the top team in Ineptia's group was much more difficult than that of Lykaia, crowning Ineptia at the Top of the VPI-16 Listings.
