Tobacco banned in Taiwan (RP a bit later)

In national news, President Zhang has successfully passed a law banning smoking of tobacco and related goods such as pipes and herbal cigarrettes not governed by previous tobacco laws. Zhang has also issued an order for a freeze on assets linked to two domestic tobacco giants such as Mainland Lite and Formosan Tobacco for allegedly targetting underage citizens in advertising campaigns.

"We will not allow the distribution of this terrible drug to continue in this country," Zhang said in front of hundreds of reporters. "For too long people have been enslaved by this expensive and cancer-causing product. I will not allow this to continue."

Stocks of the four largest tobacco companies on the Taipei index fell between 75% and 22%.
