Joint Vernii/Klonor Ship Under Construction

Initiated several months ago by the Draconian-Rossian Alliance, which feared losing control to the re-emerging Duke, this vessel was designed to be a new line of defense against the innumerable threats in the Universe. However, the DRA had almost no ship construction capacity and didn't have the technological resources to design a new vessel. Thusly, the leaders of the People's Republic of Vernii and the Draconian-Rossian Alliance had reached an agreement. An agreement which would insure peace for years to come.

However, the DRA is no longer in existence. The Associated Systems of Klonor, the newest incarnation of the Klonor nation, does not require outside assistance in ship design and construction. Yet enemies are still abundant in the Universe, and the nation is still in a state of near-Chaos. So, the People's Assembly voted to obey the original DRA-Vernii Agreement. The co-operation shall proceed as planned.

The Constantine class Ultradreadnought is the culmination of years of research and development. A joint project to insure peace among the stars.

Technology Specifications:

Missile Pods: One-shot reusable pods with ten missiles. The Constantine carries 850 pods in a hollow core along it's long axis. It can launch six pods every twenty seconds, for 60 missiles per salvo, 180 missiles per minute. If there is time for preparation before a battle, the ship can hand off pods using it's tractor beams to other warships, allowing the entire fleet to fire a massive salvo.

Impeller Wedge: A 300 km x 300 km wall of gravitic force. Weapons cannot penetrate through it either way, and matter hitting it is pretty much instantly vaporized, so it both serves as a valuable means of protection, and limits fields of fire. Active sensors can't penetrate either, so the ship must rely on passives or sensor drones to cover the blind spots.

Sidewalls: Similar to an impeller wedge, the sidewalls stop any physical object that comes into contact with them. Energy can get through, but it is distorted, bent, reflected, and generally weakened.

Okay, why the hell does The Mindset's new ship get 17 posts on the first night and this gets one freaking response?

Cause I'm a leader of the largest currently active space alliance, and most of the posts were from members. :P

I like the picture, and the stats are nice too.

Yeah.......well..........I used to be the leader of the Largest Space Alliance! So HA!

Speaking of which, there's a little GA party going on http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=346321

I think you were a member for a little bit

Yup, I was, very briefly. However, I can't send my Prime, since he's currently involved in an RP.

Oh, nothing against the response. It was a damn fine response. It's just I'm for quantity over quality ;)

Blah, you want no responses, design a small civilian ship that looks like a tin can.

Thats one monster ship Klonor. I am personally not a big fan of uberships, preferring fleets of smaller, more versatile ships such as the Slowhand class line cruiser (1,500 meters, of which the RSF operates 250) and the Jungle, Keith Moon, and [/i]Aqualung[/i] class frigates, that is definately a neat ship.

Do you even use the Colossus anymore?
Klonor
07-08-2004, 01:34
Yeah, the Colossus is still my Flagship, stationed in the 4'th Heavy Combat Fleet.

Hey, whatever happend to those ships that I gave you a long time ago? The Luis Borges class, or something like that.

Those have been long retired. I tried selling them off, but to little avail.

They don't really stack up anymore, at least to what the RSF needs out of a frigate.

Oh...............

Well, their pic still kicks ass!

Anyway, one brief BUMP since the Constantine is about to make an appearance and I want the specs easily found.
