Carl sat within the basic office of Captain Garm of the VP. It had been some time since he and Garm had engaged in their little chat, but he was sure Garm would recognise him.

The office was standard issue, small and full of filing cabinets, a computer desk and a few chairs. Carl smiled at the thought of Garm's face when he would see his new office. He wasn't quite sure about the reaction of the vampire, but he hoped it suffice as he didn't want any trouble.

Idly going over details of ASHVO in his head, Carl didn't notice as Garm burst in through the door, red-faced and puffing. The ASA agent moved to greet the captain but returned a lethal glare for his trouble. Carl sat down again and decided to let the captain vent his anger a little before he spoke.

Garm paced for several minutes as Carl waited patiently. Finally he sat and addressed the ASA agent.

"I have spent the whole day clearing out an underground coven nest of fledglings that happened to be feasting upon the south side of town. After finally clearing the whole thing out with a handful of men, the people that owned the place gave me a bloody bill because of the walls destroyed!"

Carl remained quiet and let Garm continue.

"After I told him to bugger off, he called his damn lawyer, and now I have to go through all this court bullshit just to get him to lay off!"

Finally Carl let out a small smile as the captain calmed down.

"Don't worry about it, I'll have it taken care of. Anyway, the VP is no longer your concern..."

Garm's jaw dropped as he remembered his little encounter with Carl a few months ago...

Garm stood within what appeared to be a run-down, abandoned outer city building. The place reeked of decomposing matter and was littered with trash, construction materials and dead mice. To the average person, this building was of no concern to anyone. Garm on the other hand was very intriuged, closely examining every aspect of the building.

After several minutes of silence, Garm's gaze settled upon the bathroom, the only room with an intact door, that meant something. Carl smiled as he found what caught Garm's attention.

"Very good."

The ASA agent moved through the filth towards the bathroom as if he was striding through a palace. Upon leading the VP officer into the bathroom, the door closed without any encouragement, the buzz of electrical locks filling the air.

Carl approached the basin and began turning the two taps in a certain order which Garm noted. No water was produced, but he expected that. Carl then proceded to flush the toilet a certain number of times, causing a faint blue light to appear around the edge of the large mirror upon the wall next to Garm.

The officer stepped back as the mirror cracked down the centre and slid to each side, revealing the entrance to a sterile looking elevator. Carl didn't hesitate to step inside, Garm right behind him.

"You'll soon learn the ways of getting in here, this isn't the only one."

Carl idly placed a hand within a small alcove, allowing it to take a finger print and DNA scan. Upon approval, Carl also entered a code via voice recogniser and keypad. Garm was surprised at the measures taken for security, but it was the Assington Security Agency after all.

Upon Carl's command, the lift plunged downward at high speeds.

It's just a story filler between AVII & AVIII. The Nightcrawlers will be fully operational in AVIII, and so I decided to just chuck in the background of how. I'm bascially just doing this cause I'm booooored. :headbang:

I think I'll just leave it as a background story, an rp wouldn't really go anywhere.

A basic outline: The ASA is Assington's main security/intelligence agency. ASHVO is a certain branch of this agency that is composed of vampires/humans alike.

Garm and Hondur have been chosen to be the initial agents and eventual independent leaders of ASHVO.

The crunching of glass made it obvious there were several men entering the street. Hondur looked up to see several men dressed in a familiar uniform. They obviously weren't attempting to hide their entrance, yet the vampire was always wearing of humans that approached a vampire.

Six men in total, all dressed in dark garb stood around him, their faces blank as stone. Hondur slowly looked into each man, prepared for an attack by any of them. A hand lay upon the hilt of his sword, ready to draw at the first sign of any attack.

"Hondur. You are required to come with us."

The vampire didn't let his guard down at all, these men didn't appear as they would have any problems taking him against his will if need be.

"I see, and why is that?"

"You made an agreement with us, the time has come to fulfill that agreement."

"Ah, in that case I shall indeed accompany you."

The vampire was now aware of the happenings around him. He was required to visit the location of ASHVO HQ. It had been almost a year since his little chat with Carl and the VP captain, finally the day had arrived.

Hondur now found himself in the same elevator that had plunged Garm far into the depths of the ASHVO underground complex. He was not phased by such things as high velocities that humans seemed to find uncomfortable.

After several minutes the lift began to slow and eventually came a halt, deep within the crust of the earth. Hondur did take notices of the effort such a construction would require and that it would be ideal for a vampiric base as the sun could never reach it.

The ASA agents quietly led Hondur through a passage of corridors until they arrived at a large office, adorned with many of the comforts of a human life. Sitting upon a large leather chair was Carl, Garm stood against a wall just to Hondur's left.

"Ah, Hondur. Good to see you have come. It is time we got down to business."

"I see, carry on then."

"The time has come to get ASHVO up and running. What is the situation with your coven?"

"I'd say we can count on about 80% of them. The others are too arrogant to work with humans, they may present resistance to us, but they are mostly young and can be taken care of."

"Good, that's better than we expected. Well, it is time for you to inform your coven that they're part in ASHVO is now active. Accomodations will be fully provided here and anything else that is required can be arranged easily. We have handsome government funding, so materials are not an issue."

"That sounds reasonable. What of the human component of this agency?"

"They are still being selected from around the nation, more will be brought in throughout the week. I trust there won't be any problems?"

"None from my kind."

"Good, now we have a few more details to go over..."
