NeoValladar to hold Feast (all welcome)

NeoValladar

Some might remember the nation of Valladar.... a Nation of demons. Well, after some time of strife and vanishing for a while off the world maps, the demon nation has returned! It's back to it's old ways of granting full civil freedoms while cutting off voting rights.

On her balcony, Empress Vallaniz sat. She was dressed in a long black gown, resting against the tips of her hooves. She was a kind empressed, worried always about the welfare and safetey of her people. Her nation had fought and won a terrible war against the terrorist nation, Qzit, which had broken from it a while ago. Now, their numbers building again, they are ready to proclaim themselves to the world again.

The demon empress had sent deligates to as many nations as she could, inviting them for a wonderful feast back at her capital. She was anxious to see who would arrive, but fearful that other demon races had spoiled the thinking of demons for the rest of the world. Her demons were under her control, and she was kind to other races, killing no one for food (though they could donate their bodies) and deporting criminals rather then imprisoning or killing them.

OOC: Padmasa is a fantasy-future nation... We have daemons and magick while maintaining a spacefleet, mechs, and a host of seemingly random tech.

The point I'm apparantly having trouble getting to is this: May I send a delegation in all thier futuristic glory?

of course. they have high tech and magic as well. Shadow Demons love both tech and magic, they love blending it.. it's the green demons that hate tech but they live in the woods :)

OOC: Excellent then! I shall have one of my more Daemonic leaders wander by... Of course whom he actually represents in this is a mystery.

IC: The sleek black starship slid toward earth, it was a small ship yet faster than almost anything and armed well enough to take on any pirate. Within there rested fourteen men, all but one rested in massive nanite bathes... each tube was filled with gel and nanites to rapair even the slightest damage to thier armour or themselves. The fourteenth man lounged in his suite wearing courtly dress. He had angular features, high cheekbones, shoulder length black hair, a mustache, and his eyes were black pupiless orbs. He wore a black dueling jacket, black dress pants, armoured boots, red lace cuffed dress shirt, and a peaked cap. His arms belt contained a longsword and pistol, both were customized heavily yet not decorative in the slightest. He snickered to himself and re-entered his trance.

The ship landed gracefully, struts deploying from its underside due to the lack of a proper cradel. The Dragon's talon symbol emblazoned on its side proclaimed it to be from the Draconian Cult and when the ramp deployed any doubt of this vanished. Armoured leviathans walked foward thier bodies glowing with unholy runes. Each walked calmly foward and stood flanking the ramp until Lord Typhus, Captain of the Third Company of the Draconian Cult stepped down. He paced foward scanning the field they had landed in, devoid of plants this time of year but a good place to land.

"Form up, this is a diplomatic function and I want to appear suitablely impressive. We head for the palace."

Typhus' men glared about them, and set off at a trot for the gilded spires of the palace. The buildings they passed were tall and somewhat imposing and the people they passed looked normal enough as they went about thier business. Ten minutes later when his guard halted Typhus found them standing at a gate, soldiers flanked it wearing ceremonial armour and archaic looking weapons. Typhus gestured and one of his men presented thier invitation to the guard.

"His Lordship Typhus, Captain of The Third Company, Burner of a Thousand Cities, and Executioner of the Golden Scum!" the same guard announced formally, the speaker in his helmet projecting his voice quite well and causing an odd echo. The guard hastily set the gates to opening. Typhus' guard ran forward and went straight to the palace door where the other guests were entering, they stopped only meters short of the stairway and moved to flank the causeway. Military precision and in a good position to get me the hell out of here at need. Typhus examined the courtyard and noticed that other ships had landed, his would have fit... barely. A shame that they had to walk so far.

Typhus himself smiled wolfishly revealing a mouthful of fangs and casually paced forward. Some of the other guests stopped and watched his approach others simply spoke with the... Elf! Typhus barely stopped himself from drawing his autopistol and opening fire, as it was he stiffened noticably and his eyes lit slightly with green balefire. Typhus continued up the walkway and presented himself to the elven woman, managing not to glower at her. Another gesture and as one the guard announced him.

EDIT: Now it should work out. I'm still not happy with the quality of this but nothing to be done about it.

A Green portal opened in the streets below the balcony. Out of the portal came people dressed in Hi-tech armours and carrying heavy weaponry. Then came a man in a black robe who put himself on little box and then spoke: Greetings, Citizens of NeoValladar. I have the honor to present to you, the OverMaester of Dronios, Jiliiz Wriikez! A man in black clothing stepped out of the portal followed by two older men.

ooc: I'm gonna assume my character dropped the shielding surrounding her country to allow people to portal in btw :P she usally has it locked off with magic to keep portals out (both tech and magic ones).

Description of Capital:

Valladar City is a tightly built capital with tall buildings and streets for foot traffic only. Special underground rails were built for fast shipping, but cars were outlawed long ago. The palace is the tallest structure in the city with a giagantic court yard where people can gather to hear speaches given by the empress. Trees line the court yard, but it is also big enough to land standard shuttle craft in.

Around the city are farms for rotational crops. Meat is rare, requiring hunting parties as Vallaniz long ago declaired it cruel to keep creatures in captivity for the purposes of meat. Past the fields of soy, corn, and rice is a massive forest. Half the forest is off limits to most people, as it is the home to the Green Demons that eat anything that moves. The other half is home to the tree-dwelling elves who's villages work with nature rather then against it.

Magic is very common, but the country itself is futuristic in design with both spells and shields to protect them from unwanted visitors and incomming missiles.

A heavy sphere materialized twelve meters above the ground of the palace courtyard, amidst a crackle of static and blue flame, and landed heavily into the ground.

It was a perfect sphere perhaps six meters tall, carved with runes and equations that would have amazed even the best sorcerer. It was a translation sphere, meant to go there and back. This would be the last decade when it would be used -- the BattleSpire project would make such things obsolete.

The runes seemed to glow, and the equations and alchemical circles flowed and changed. In a crackle of azure energy that accompanied an alchemical reaction the sphere melted, making a sort of gray platform upon which a half-dozen persons now stood -- Ambassador Ratix Kimbley, two alchemists in azure greatcoats, and three persons of the High Guard.

"Well," Ambassador Ratix Kimbley said, looking around. "This is an interesting change."

Slowly a portal began forming in the courtyard as two figures step through. One of them hiding in a cloak wile the other brushes some green strands of hair from her face. "So how the hell can you stand traveling like that," Angel asked Joshua as the feeling of her stomache being outside of her body left her. "Try being killed and seeing hell several times. Alot worse than that," Knightly replied as he raised one hand at the portal and it colapsed and the two steped foreward Angel playingly trying to get Knightly to hold her hand.

[in a dark room, a circle of figures furiously debates the invitation to join the Feast of the Demon-Nation Valladar.]

"Heresy! Heresy I say! To sit and dine with demons as though they were men! We should attack this nation and be done with it!"

"Fool! They just finished a successful campaign against a break away nation. We are a relatively new nation and while our people are strong in their faith, we are not strong in our military. To launch an attack right now would be disasterous!"

"Blashpemy!" spat a third figure, "You speak too much of peace and negotiations. A sudden surprise attack..."

"Would not be successful," spoke up one man. The room hushed and all turned towards him.

"Well, Grand Inquisitor Horatio, you are head of the External Affairs Department? What course do you suggest?"

"The only logical course-one of intelligence gathering. We send an envoy to this Valladar and see how much of a threat they pose. If they are one, then we shall make plans accordingly. If not, then perhaps treaties of peace and trade can be arranged."

"And who do you propose to send? Yourself?" said the first speaker with a barked laugh.

"Of course not, Grand Inquisitor Malkavius. We are all much too important to spend time frivously at balls and feasts or to be caught in simple traps. However, I do have a canidate in mind."

Horatio pressed a button and holographic display lit up the room. A general mummer of agreement came from the council of the Grand Inquisitor's choice.

------------------

The blocky dropship slowly dropped to the landing pad, docking with it with a noticeable "thud." The dropship's doors opened, the hydrolycis hissing. Three figures exited the ship. One was a man, tall and slender, his long dirty blond hair pulled back in a tight ponytail. He was dressed in dark black clothing with a white neck collar and wore the symbols of his office [ooc: think like a Roman Catholic priest, the holy symbol of Gone is a smiley emoticon: =) ]. He carried only a small book and a ceremonial dagger; both were attached to his belt by silver chains. A young woman, her hair dyed white stood next to him. She had the holy symbol of Gone tattooed on her right cheek and she wore pitch-black power armor that fit snuggly around her form. White robes were worn lightly over the armor, holy symbols and passages from some holy text stechted in gold thread on it. She carried a long sword that hummed slightly and had two fine gold plated flintlock pistols hanging from side holsters. The third person's gender was hard to determine as it was a creature completely covered in dark robes. It's face could not be seen and it walked with a hunched back.

"I am Inquisitor Frederick Aurelius of the Theocracy of the Gonite Inquisition, of the External Affairs Department. My companions are Sister Superior Jillian and Brother Exirtus, of the Officio Psyko. We have received your summons and have humbly come to partake in this festivity."

A tall elven woman with braided blonde hair greets the new arrivals. She had been just on her way to meet the deligation from Phalanix when the new ship arrived. Seeing the symbols they bore she decided it would be best to speak with them first.

Approuching Frederick first, the elf bowed low before him. "Welcome to Valladar. It is pleasing to see a Theocracy accepting our invite. I am sure many of them think demons are all evil, which is simpley not true. Our empress keeps them in line. We just won a war against evil demons, who were saddly spawned from our fair cities." A slight frown came across her lips, but she shook her head.

"If you would like to stay out here and mingle with the other guests, this is fine. But if you would like to follow me, I can take you to the grand hall where refreshmants before the feast are being served. I can also answer any questions you might have."

Knightly quietly watched as the elvan woman walked towards the ship to greet the first group. He quickly looked over the rest of the others and smirked even though it was hidden by his cloaks hood. "What are you smirking about now?" Angel asks him as she takes a quick look at him. "Don't ask," he replied as he remembered that Angel was an Elite.

The journey had been long. Out of Callisdrun by boat, and then several plane flights before finally entering the Valladar and then Valladar city. Zigane Katarindatter's (not to be confused with the Callisdrunian space rogue, Tzigane Bator, although they were both Callisdrunian moroii) transportation was unimpressive compared to the means by which other guests had arrived, but it was enough, and it fit with the casual sort of air Callisdrunian diplomats generally presented. Her clothes were also simpler than those of her fellow guests. She wore a simple black and red evening dress, very slightly see-through, but not so much as to shed any decency. Around her waist was a thick belt, and a one-handed battle axe, both ceremonial and functional, hung from it. And she knew that this was one country where her fangs would not cause shock when she smiled.

She waited to be greeted before announcing herself, as was Callisdrunian custom.

"What was the etheric flux on this one?" the older alchemist asked. Thin as a stick, with a graying goatee and a receeding hairline, Michel Brown did not look the part of a traditional alchemist. Then again, Weyrean alcehmists rarely did anything traditionally, so perhaps his looks were a sign of that.

"1.54%, dad," the younger alchemist responded. She was maybe 22 or 23 years of age, arrayed in the same azure trench coat as her father, albeit one that was several sizes smaller. The new fashion amongst alchemists was to wear a functional slit skirt and half-jacket over darker-colored army pants and shirt, and Rena Brown was considering ordering that when she got back to Weyr.

"You're off by 0.2%, flux at 1.34%," Alchemist Brown corrected his daughter. "You'll be running the reaciton on the way back, so tr to stay in the 1.5% range. Anything over that and we get fried."

"Give it a break, you two," ambassador Kimbley sighed, still waiting on nthe concrete platform that was once the translation sphere. "Let's see if anyone comes to meet us."

Inquisitor Aurelius returned the bow.

"I think you will find that some Theocracies are better than others and that ours is one of them. It is most pleasurable to learn that your nation has taken actions against the foul demons that plaque the multiverse. We shall stay here, and await the arrival of all guests so that we may all enter at once. May the blessings of Gone be with thee."

The elf woman smiles. "I thank you for the blessing and look forward to learning about your nation." She then headed away from that group of deligates and headed for the group that had landed first. She wasn't sure what to make of these arrivals and fitted her hands together before her to stave off feelings of nervousness.

"I welcome you to Valladar City." She said to the deligation from Padmasa. "I am here greeting guests on behalf of our empress, Vallaniz." She did not know where the deligates hailed from, as they did not have a list, and was still a bit, worried, about how she was to greet them all when they were arriving about the same time. What worried her, was that they might find it rude to be kept waiting. Well, she was only one person. They didn't have any other Ministers of Forigen Relations at the present time.

Drawing his men off to the side he glares at the elf woman who had greeted him and turns to the circle of massive guards. Whispering into subdermal comm he briefs them.

"Alright, we are guests even if there are elves about. Don't make us look bad. I want one of you to head back to the ship and power it up... we may end up leaving in a hurry. Next, I want two of you to go out and scope out the town. Speak to no one and find any escape routes. The rest of you, stand around and look imposing while I feast," the last he said with a grin. With one last look around he gestured and three of his men set off at a light trot.

Typhus turned abruptly back to the waiting doors and made a show of casually leaning against the door watching everything hawkishly. "Ho! Black, toss me my coat!" One of his guardsmen turned and produced a heavy black trenchoat which he threw to Typhus. Typhus donned the heavy garment and relaxed a little, at least small arms fire would not be a worry. Looking at the inqusitional party he strokes his chin thoughtfully. "And where do you hale from good sirs and lady?"

OOC: The sad thing I've noted as I roleplay Typhus and indeed most of my other characters is the fact that thier almost comical paranoia is just my acutal paranoia spilling over. Typhus probably would have shown up with a kilometer long warship hovering overhead ready to turn the city into a crater if he though he could get away with it. Actually if you had any idea what was in his ship you'd realize that a kilometer long warship isn't all that necessary...

OOC: I'm new, can I play too? ;)

A singularity appears in the sky, it soon grows to a flash. The flash then lands , it is a sphere of spinning and coalescing lights that abruptly stops.

Standing where the lights once were are two figures. One is humanoid in size and shape, completely covered in a heavy iridisced armour and white cloaks. The mask on the armour looks human, and is painted white, with yellow lips, the symbol of a winged foot is stamped on the forehead, eves are not visible behind the eyeslits, but movement can be seen.

The second is taller very near 8ft. This man has long black, black hair and red and whiye eyes, except the whites are red and the cornea is white. His skin is tattooed with scales that sweep up his chin and around his hairline. He is dressed in a somewaht victorian manner, but the fabric looks as though it is woven of metallic thread. He carries a massive double headed battle axe and grins impishly.

The smaller figure bows and speaks, the sound is as if it is filtered through a speaker "Greetings to your.......*click*....Empress, and to her............*click*.........worthy servants, from The Autarch. I am Othello, Messenger of the Autarch and this........." he motions to the larger " Is Laertes of The Varangian Guard. ooc: *COUGHS* did you completely miss that you were being greeted by an elven woman?!!!

OOC: Miss it? I nearly think I replied to it... Typhus nodded and then ignored her. I guess a little background is in order: Padmasa in the olden days was inslaved by elves, The immortal mages (The Masters) freed Padmasa. This is thousands of years ago but our hatred of elves is as fresh as when we were still inslaved. You might note that in the first post Typhus nearly drew his autopistol and put 20 or so rounds into your elven greeter... How you wish to precide is entirely your business but in intrest of not getting thrown out of town (or hung/shot/imprisoned) Typhus will probably try to keep ignoring her and any other elves.

Inquisitor Aurelius offers Typhus his hand. "We hail from the ash wastes, far to the east. And yourself?"

Typhus nodded thoughtfully and clasped his hand. "Me, orginially from earth but for the past forty or so years I've been living on Akaron," Typhus let go of his hand and slid his hands into his pockets. "This should be a very interesting party. I wonder what the main course shall be..."

IC: Typhus wandered inside and searched out a glass of wine. Carefully sipping this, all too aware that it could be poison, he examined the company. OOC: The things in () are out of character facts that help this RP make sense.

IC: Deep in the Evil Empire of Akaton, Lord Draconis (he's an elf, for those who might want to know, such as Typhus ;) ) watched as the techs made the final adjustments on the Etheric Teleporter. He had gotten an invitation to a party, yet the party was in another universe, making transport remarkably difficult. Hearing footsteps behind him, he turned to see his vice president Count Yuri (he's a vampire) and his bodyguards arrive. Lord Draconis hoped he wouldn't be late, but an interdimensional teleport wasn't an easy process. On the massive machine in front of him, counter rotating rings of pure neutronium gained speed. The thousands of arcane symbols across their surface began to glow with inner fire. Moments later, the techs had stabilized the gateway.

In Neo Valladar, in the square in front of the palace, a dark shadow appeared in the courtyard. It took on physical form, and a ring of glowing runes appeared around it out of nothingness. Burning with blue flames, the portal opened, and the delegation of Akaton stepped through the gateway.

Lord Draconis, the elf-lord of Akaton sized up the palace. A truely magnificent building. Behind him, Count Yuri apeared, followed by two bodyguards in silver power armor. Seeing that his fellow guests had arrived, Lord Draconis shut the portal with a thought, his eyes briefly glowing bright blue as the gate blinked into the nothingness from which it had arisen.

Wearing a flowing black trenchcoat, seemingly made of shadow itself, Lord Draconis was gloriously evil in apperence. Count Yuri, pale and vampiric, wore a cape and rather archaic looking clothes (think Dracula). Walking towards the elf woman who seemed to be welcoming guests into the palace, he waited to be greeted before entering (as per Akaton tradition). As he waited, Lord Draconis thought to himself how nice it was to finally find a nation that welcomed all manner of non-humans...

Lord Draconis stood in the courtyard with a puzzled expression on his face. For over 30 minutes the delegation from Akaton had stood waiting there. It was hard to imagine that four Akatonians appearing out from an interdimensional portal would go unnoticed. Could he have arrived at the wrong place. No, he thought, this was where the feast was to take place. Why then had his arrival not been spotted by the elvish receptionist or even somone passing on the street outside...

OOC: The Evil Empire of Akaton is very careful to know everything about a place before we send our leader. As for knowing about Typhus, we don't need to infiltrate the Cult, we had a hidden spy drone survey the feast before we arrived. When someone comes with huge armored bodyguards, it draws our attention. You see, Typhus was hardly stealthy in his ill treatment of the elves that were already at the feast. Anyway, it hardly matters how we know about Typhus, as I don't think he actually killed the greeter, regardless of her species. You see, Lord Draconis is very bored and is discussing relatively irrelavent things with the OverMaster of Dronios.

OOC: On a note... if he tries it you can expect your nation to have a very short and very brutal existance. I know you were probably joking but... Of course unless Akaton can dodge 11mm elfshot rounds, he won't have a chance to order any invasion. (Elfshot, rounds of cold iron, kills an elf and most fey creatures in several seconds) But of course, that's only if the Cult gets involved: my men would be perfectly happy to just walk away and let elves kill elves (which has always been our goal, and is regarded as a source of great entertainment).

Lena ducked outside the palace, to see what the gunshot was all about. He just wants to be greeted and enjoy the party.

IC: Lord Draconis saw one of the alchemists come outside. Walking up to her, he started a conversation.
"Hello. I'm sorry if I caused you any concern. I haven't been to a social gathering such as this in well over a century, and my manners are not what they could be."
Signaling the guards that they could return through the portal, he went back to talking to the alchemist.
"I have heard that you have a means of directly controlling the etheric flux of a teleporter. In Akaton our teleporter is powered by an unreliable and misuderstood demonic artefact. When used by humans, it can lead to demonic possesion or insanity. I would be interested learning what form of equation you use to stabilse the portal."

Realising that the elvish greeter was never going to welcome him, Lord Draconis walked inside talking to the alchemist about the workings of a teleporter. As he went inside, he noticed the deranged OverMaester following him, looking extremely disturbing.

After waiting for several hours outside, he was really thirsty. As he discussed the finer points of etheric flux and some other difficult to understand stuff, he picked up a drink off of a passing waiter's tray. By now, he was rather puzzled by the OverMaester, and turned to him asking, "Would you like to join our little conversation Mr. Wriikez? Lena has some rather interesting theories regarding teleporter equations."
Weyr
05-08-2004, 22:17
"It's actually fairly simple, Lena shrugged, "you convert the entire mass of a globus sphere into energy and shuttle it along a sub-etheric line. This way you avoid messing around with etherspace and with portals. We just make sure the total amount of matter is the same, and . . . the whole equation is actually a function of mass and energy ratios . . ." she continued on, drawing in the messier calculus developed over the years to explain the various phenomina assiciated with line travel, some of which involved the tenth-dimension and octarine synergies. " . . . so etheric flux is really just the difference between the normals and the actuals. The trick is estimating the differential in ley-line diflow energies and . . . therefore . . . "

"kitchen, kitchen, where's the kitchen" muttered wulfen, wandering through the unfamiliar palace. Suddenely his stomache let out another loud grumble. Akaton
06-08-2004, 01:44
"Hmm." Lord Draconis mused, not fully understanding the endless stream of calculus coming from the alchemist in front of him. As she finished her equations, he inquired,
"Would it be correct to assume that instead of direct teleportation, your transport device moves at faster than light speeds outside of the three dimensions we see around us? If that is the case, the only problem I see would be that if the equations were even slightly off, you could appear in a parallel universe or at a different point in time. I imagine this drawback is more than offset by the increased safety of the minds of those beings using the transport device. We believe that our portal device opens a rift in time and space, allowing us to move regardless of ley-line activity or etheric interference. Far too often, however my weak minded human assistants become possesed by a demonic entity that was caught in the rift."

Finishing his drink, Lord Draconis continued his discussion,
"Unfortunately, it is unlikely that your transport method would ever work in Akaton. For too long, the scientists of my empire have depended on artefacts of an ancient civilization that pre-dated Akaton by over 2,000 years. Our scientists can repair and maintain this ancient technology, but they are unable to recreate its designs. The mathematicians have become more like sorcerers than scientists, depending more and more upon strange magicks and supernatural powers to drive our technology. Perhaps a few centuries ago we could have used these equations, but not now. Rather sad isn't it?"

The shots came from Lord Draconis, Akaton's leader. He had arrived along with several others, but he wasn't noticed. He had been waiting for hours, and his companions were forced to leave because of the lateness. Since then, Lord Draconis came inside along with the OverMaester of Dronios. They are now enjoying themselves inside, though the OverMaester has gone insane for some reason.

After waiting for hours, Lord Draconis began shooting randomly into the air in the hopes that he would be noticed. Several other guests though they were being attacked. For a while, it seemed as though Lord Draconis, Typhus, and the alchemists from Weyr were going to start shooting each other. However, things calmed down once Lord Draconis sent his military bodyguards away and decided not to slaughter innocents (he had threatened to do so if he was ignored).

Other than that, all that has happened is that Lord Draconis let himself in, and drank some wine. He has been talking about teleporter technology with one of the alchemists. I don't know what Typhus is doing now.

"No-one's actually managed to measure time or space while traveling a ley line." Lena sighed, "I'm sorry, I must be boring you. Conversation isn't my strong point, I'm afraid. Still, we've been merging thaumaturgic science and mundane technology for years with few problems, until we tried making our own portals. You've had possessions, we've got hordes of demons coming through half of the times we open up a portal."

Lord Draconis settled into a chair near Lena, enjoying the discussion.

"Boring? Not at all, I haven't met anyone who could discuss the finer points of teleportation in over a century, not counting those insane old wizards running the portal in Akaton. So, you had hordes of demons? That happened to Akaton long ago in 2025, when we started research into the occult. The dead walked the earth, demons ate the souls of mortals, all the general horror. I don't want to give a history lesson here, but we did eventually get rid of the demons."

Reaching into his trench coat, Lord Draconis brought out a data disk.

"You know, we could help your research into portal generation quite a bit. After a few centuries, we found that a stable portal could be created without allowing the free passage of demons into our world. A series of arcane runes and haxagramic wards can be established to drive them away. This disk contains a copy of the symbols and rituals we use in our portal facility. Be warned, even if it works, this portal will not be safe for humans."

Pausing a moment, Lord Draconis got himself another drink, slightly less alcoholic. Hordes of demons indeed, how unpleasant. Laughing to himself, he thought that this could be the beginning of a very good technology exchange.

Just as he was about to start on a whole new discussions, Lord Draconis was cut short by the ring of him communicator. Removing it from his coat, he saw the incoming message light flashing. Activating the device, he read the following message:

"This is Akaton relay station eight calling Lord Draconis. We have received an urgent message, classified priority one. No one has been able to contact Count Yuri since he arrived in Jangle Jangle Ridge. There have been scattered reports of insectoid monsters overwhelming the base he was to tour. We do not know whether he is alive or not. Please advise."

Turning to the alchemist, Lena, he said,
"I'm sorry we could not finish this conversation. I must return to Akaton, something has come to my attention that requires my presence."
Turning to leave, Lord Draconis handed her the data disk.
"We can discuss compensation at a later date. Until then, consider the disk yours."

Leaving the building, Lord Draconis re-opened the portal with a thought. The portal closed behind him and collapsed moments later in a burst of electrical fire. He greatly regreted having to leave early, but demands of government had to come before socializing.
