New Leader Declares a Religious State
A government coup has taken place in Squornshelous. The corrupt administration of His Supremeness-the-ex-Dictator Squorn IV was deposed and publicly executed, by forces of the popular new leader, who refers to himself as "The Great Prophet Zarquon". He has vowed to reform Squornshelous to bring it back to the light and end the long history of secular rule.
On a possibly related note, the old Dpeartment of Religion building, which housed little except a few people who persecuted religious minorities as much as they could, was destroyed today in a bomb blast. A videotape found near the scene showed several men in ninja atire. THey referred to themselves as the founders of Viento Santo, a new terrorist group. They praised the actions of Zarquon and vowed that they would destroy all who opposed him. Zarquon declined comment on this matter.
