Another article in the Mages Chronicle

To accompny the Guardian program the final stages in the construction of the Tower of Light where started today. When completed it will bring a small reminder of the world we have left back to us, as it shall be the clone of defenses built there. As such I Hardly need to remind the reader of it's capabilities, but for the visitor to these Islands we shall endevor to enlighten you.

The Tower shall serve the dual function of University for advanced Mages, teaching them the skills of High Magic, in both it's use, and more importently when not to use it. It is also however a defensive structure under the control of the High Mage.

Storing the excess Magic released by the Tree of Souls, that is storing High Magic it can release it's stored power in the form of directed Lightening strikes upon a target within range, that range is limited by the range of the High Magic Influance at this time, although we suspect it shall not extend as far as the Tree of Souls continues to spread it's influance. It also ensures a greater degree of safty to the people of Giltheran, from Sea based threats, since it can Teleport a target vessel away to any place the High Mage desires*

We can all breathe a little easier when the Tower is complete, and it shows the amount of military investment the King has wisely made in recent years bear fruit. Added to the Mark IV Bolts in fact we may be a surprise to those who view us backwards.

OOC Note * Unmentioned in the article is the limitation of one Ship per hour, and only to a body of water capable of supporting the vessel... Hay no need to anouce the limitations of the Tower. Also not mentioned is the abilty to create illusions, since anoucing that would weaken the ability

The first test would begin, and a vessel ahd been towed into port a small crew wqas onboard with many letters of explanation should something go drastically wrong, now the swirl of energy built up, and in a blink the sleek forms of the Ships hull dissappeared...

To the people under the effects of a Teleportation spell it appears instent this isn't exactly the case, the object or objects are first moved into a neighbouring dimension and it is through this that they move to the target. the journey is so swift however that it matters little usually, but sometimes something unusual can happen this was one of those times, a one in a Million shot, but the ship ended up in the wrong place...

The Crew had no idea what sea they where upon now, and what was occuring what they did know is Ships seemed to be approaching them...
