Re: Ring

Greetings,

I am writing to inquire about the possibility of arranging an opportunity to dispatch some personnel to examine your ‘Ring,’ from the ground and possibly inside it, if it’s not entirely solid, as we’re currently led to believe it’s not, as we are currently considering an extra-solar project that is remarkably similar in concept.

Yours sincerely,
Neil Franceschi, Chair of the Imperial Engineering Directorate.

Senior Civil Servant Running Wolf, leader of the TerraEngineering Directorate, frowns a little as he looks through the screen to the person on the other end of the line. "You can see why I forwarded it."

The Special Services officer on the other end nods. "Ya. Not like it's a state secret or anything, but allowing anyone to look this closely at it could expose weaknesses and what not. We're on good terms with the C'tan but I don't know if were on terms this good."

"Then I'm glad I didn't make the decision myself. If I had my way, I'd pass it up the line and see if the bosses believe it to be an acceptable risk."

The spook nods. "That makes quite a bit of sense." Closing the link after the appropriate closing salutations, the TYSS officer forwards copies of the message to the Council of Yut and, unsurprisingly, the TYCS. Just in case it does go through, the C'tan delegation would need security which unapologetically goes both ways. Besides, it would give TYCS Ground Forces Reserve something to do for once.
