McQuaide

Ministry of State Dispatch
The Commonwealth of McQuaide, as part of its ongoing program to become more involved in the international community, desires to establish diplomatic relations with other nations. In addition to basic diplomatic recognition, the Commonwealth is willing to make the following offers:
1) Exchange of embassy facilities. Your government will be provided with one of our four-story, spacious and modern embassy facilities in our capital's 'Embassy Row'. These buildings, built six years ago on the banks of the Liffey river, are equipped with the modern communications and security systems that modern diplomatic missions demand. We will also offer a similar, but smaller, consular facility in our inland industrial and agricultural city of Novy Tiblisi.
2) Nation in Good Standing trade status. Reduced or eliminated tariffs, extended rights to your government’s corporations within Commonwealth borders.
3) Military non-aggression treaty. This can, upon a period of negotiation, result in a mutual defense pact.
4) Cultural exchange. Citizens of your government shall be welcomed in McQuaide universities, hospitals, and other facilities, enjoying the same rights as McQuaide citizens. In case of legal trouble, citizens of your government can be extradited to your courts, on the condition that similar rights be extended in the trial process.

Under normal circumstances, the Slutbum Wallah Diplomatic Corp would immediately accept these generous terms and despatch one of our standby Ambassadorial teams to pick the nicest available building, however something has come up. We cannot offer any form of embassy building or facilities within Slutbum Wallah to you or any other nation for reasons of a rather embarrasing nature.
It seems that whilst no-one was paying attention, Ambassador-Colonel Hekker Fatherman sold embassy row. We are unable to track him down as he pocketed the profits and emigrated to Alpha Centurai. As you can imagine, this has created some disturbance as multiple nations are now threatening war unless we can sucessfully explain why their plush surroundings have been replaced by a brand new McDonalds.

The United Duchies presently sets up full embassies for regions only. Therefore, if you would please state what region you are in, we might consider you for a regional embassy.
We don't DO embassies, but if ever you need the services of a legendary bounty-hunter, give us a call!

A cultural exchange would likewise be desireable. Does Temme have any particular terms for either the exchange or the diplomatic exchange in general?

The McQuaide Embassy Row is considered to be a 'special administrative district' for the purposes of security and counterterrorism, allowing uniformed McQuaide security personnel to screen any McQuaide citizen entering or leaving. Additionally, members of the McQuaide Marine Corps' Fleet Antiterrorism Security Battalion are available to provide security for every embassy.

The most serene rebublic of Basie warmly grasps the extended hand of friendship. We wish to send a delegation consisting of an Ambassador, diplomatic attache and cultural attache, accompanied by four members of the national guard as a security detail and three members of general support staff. In return we can welcome your dignitaries to a grand building within the main governmental district of our capital Birdland. The republic of Basie has a rich tradition of musical and artistic endeavour and as such would look forward to any cultural exchanges that could be undertaken, we would in fact like to celebrate this historic opening of relations with a festival in the opulent surroundings of the Governor's sculpted gardens and await any suggestions you may have on this matter. We look forward to welcoming all citizens of McQuaide to our proud nation and to establishing mutually beneficial trade agreements.
Sincerely,
Douglas Toop
