The Zedran Scourge, a new world awaits

“Thow shalt not suffer a witch nor an elf to live”
~Reich Bible

“We shall cleanse this land of all impurities, to make it fit for the people of the Lord to dwell within it, and we shall not fall to corruption, for we are the chosen of God, the Lord Almighty.”
~Father Andreas, 1462

And so it bean, in the Year of Our Lord 1462, November 25th, the humans of Zedra fought a bitter uprising against the elite. They called for the cessation of oppression of humans, and the enslavement of all elves, for it was easier for them to rally the humans of the nation against ‘evil creatures’ discarding the fact that many of the ruling class were indeed humans. And so fires burned in Zedra, men and elves alike were enslaved or killed, atrocities were committed that would make the SS of Heinrich Himler shudder, and this was done in the name of God.

And so Zedra progressed, the Germanic peoples that populated it ruling in a semi-theocratic dictatorship, and peace reigned for hundreds of years, as Zedra lived in isolation, technology progressed, as the humans learned from the books and records of their former masters. Grav-ships took to flight, leaders came and went, yet, these ships and weapons of war did not plough the sees, nor did they sail the black ether of space, instead, they simply sat, awaiting the day when a Zedra leader would choose to set them loose, when a Zedran leader would take their holy crusade to the stars. For their were no elves left in Zedra, and yet, out there, somewhere, were more abominations of the devil, more creatures of darkness that had to be purified.

The people lived in peace, their every movement tracked by GPS locators and bar-codes in their skin, sub-neural chips tracked their every movement, and the government fed them information. Murder was rare, terrorism non-existent, and treason was scarce. Life was perfect in Zedra, until that is, Maximilian Eccor took power. He began to train the people of Zedra, strengthen defenses, and ready them for an emergence.

Now, that readying was over, and the people of Zedra would know the world, and the world would know them.

“I am Prince Maximilian Eccor, leader of the Holy Empire of Zedra. This is the first time that my people have communicated with the world, and I, as their leader, and the one to broach that first contact.

Many hundreds of years ago, we freed ourselves from the genocidal tyranny of a race that was purged by my forefathers, we seek to know this world, and to realize what it has become while our nation has slept, and we ask for guidance of those like minded.

I thank you for paying heed to this message, and I hope good relations will follow cooperation”

As many as the stars in the sky were the means by which information reached the C'tan. Soon this message reached a large pile of similar messages in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A small, bored, man took it up and read it. "Interesting," he said, calling out to his partner, "You know of anywhere called Zedra?"

"Not at all" she replied, "Should I?"

"Not really. Just wondering, why aren't they on the map?"

"Because the map's messed up, man," she said.

"Can you look it up?"

With much grumbling the stocky dark haired woman stood and pulled out some of the older maps from the cabinets and began to cross check.

"Genocidal Tyranny?" said the first speaker, "sounds familiar..."

IC:The council was recentley made aware of a large nation that had completely eradicated the local elves....
OOC: Different colors means different council member)
"Completley eradicated"The voice sounded shocked.
"Yes, the foul, blonde-haired, girl-like panzies were executed"
"How so, peacfully, or...painfully"
"Eshin reports of some very brutal methods used, but nothing showing the use of warpstone in them"
"Well, thats not surprising as it is rare, but back on discussion, good, they made them suffer"
"Maybe we should send over a representative of the council"?
"Yes, indeed we shall ask, and if permitted, we will"

OOC: Alicia is Weyr's High King. Ash is the last Lord of the Endless Voids, Neverille is the Grand Alchemist of The Tower.

IC:

Alicia splattered a good portion of her morning tea over the printout.

"Told you," Ash commented by way of response.

"Right, we'll ignore the whole thing and pretend that we don't exist," Alicia stated simply, getting up to change into something with fewer tea stains.

"Good plan," Ash nodded as the High King went into her bedroom.

The Star Ocean was big; finding a small planet and the small nation that inhabited it would not be an easy task. Not even the long-gone Lords of the Endless Voids could have found a nation that wanted to stay hidden. "Should I tell Neverille?" he asked through the open door.

"They already know," Alicia said, coming out, dressed into a long tunic-like short of exactly the same type as before. "Besides, it'll get them to work faster on Glittering Stone."

Fëaelen nos Ancalimë hesitantly observed the blank sheet of paper in front of her. She had her suspicions about these people, and it would be nice to see them confirmed. Normally to visit a nation on Earth, she would simply have left the residence in Vinyatirion and gone commercially, but this was somewhat different. If he suspicions proved true, it would have proven to be an annoyance to introduce these people to Menelmacar.

Therefore, she’d commandeered a ship from her in-persona stockpile, a fast, light transport. However, that didn’t really solve her immediate problem. How to write this letter so as to establish cordial relations if things were not as wrong as she dreamed. Taking an elaborate fountain pen from the table, she began to write, the scratching of pen on paper filling the small but luxuriant cabin, wooden panelled and illuminated by a soft glow from each corner, this soft light creating few shadows.

To His Majesty Maximilian Eccor, and the Esteemed Leaders of the Holy Empire of Zedra, greetings,

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Lady Fëaelen nos Ancalimë, daughter of Númenórë, (alas, a title that has little significance these days) the Imperial Spokeswoman for Quendi Affairs, and current ambassador-at-large as it were. I have been assigned to attend to the introduction of our nation to your own, and to establish diplomatic relations with your honourable leaders.

I shall arrive within the day, all being well, at the location attached, (It seems to be a shame to copy it and risk error when I can simply send it directly to you instead) and look forward to meeting with you as soon as possible. To aid somewhat, I also enclose both two and three-dimensional images of myself. Until then,

My Highest Regards,
Lady Fëaelen

She looked over the message, waiting for the ink to dry, before finally placing it into an appropriate device for scanning and transmission, along with the attachments she had detailed. Now to see if they would react in any way. She wished she did not have to waste her time with this, but that reference to a race that was purged was far too suspect for her tastes, and the ambassadors and consuls who actually were elves were far too valuable for such a dangerous assignment.

From, Emperor Eccor
To, Lady Feaelen nos Ancalimë

"Feaelen, kin of Lady Ancalime, it would be an honor to receive you in my humble nation. Although we cannot offer much in terms of hospitality, I will take great pains to see that you are treated with chivalry and kindness.

When your craft enters our borders, it will be escorted by a flight of Zedran fighters. Do not be allarmed, as this flight is an honor guard, to protect you, and to show that you are a friend to the Zedran people."

Indeed, as the C'tan transport entered Zedran space, a flight of fighters assumed a formation around it. Sheilds and weapons were powered down, and indeed, the flight seemed more ceremonial than threatening.

Fëaelen looked out of the long vertical windows of the front of the ship, a smoothed out silver shape, rather like a bullet descending through the atmosphere. On the side of the vessel was the quenya inscription, in raised embossed lettering, overlaid with gold;

The ship dropped toward the ground, hovering slightly as a trio of almost insectile landing legs extended. Fëaelen wandered to the back of the ship, taking a small, hand-held device from the ship, and concealing it within her robes she strode toward the exit ramp and smiled.

Greeting her was a young man, probably barely in his thirties, his bearing was regal, and the soldiers behind him obviously respected him. He strode forward, "Lady Feaelen, I am Prince Maxmilian Eccor, Emperor of Zedra, it is a pleasure to meet you" He bowed, smiling.

Fëaelen smiled radiantly and finished descending the ramp, her long and ornate robes, as white as the conscience of a saint for the most part, plunging low at the neck and trimmed with gold filigree in an elaborate leaf pattern, almost touching the ground. Her dark, almost black hair, contrasting sharply with her choice of robes, was pulled back behind one of her ears, proudly displaying their pointed tip for the world to see. Above this on the elf woman’s head was a ring of true-silver, mithril as it was known, forming a circlet that held a large jewel, a yellow sapphire, but the tiniest of flaws visible, the kind that could only be discerned under magnification, cut by someone who was surely a true master of their craft, as well as ten smaller jewels, flawless diamonds.

Even those skilled in such things would not have discerned her true nature, nor any armament upon her person as she smiled at the Emperor of the Zedrans. She bowed in return, a sensuous and graceful movement, “A pleasure mirrored by myself at meeting you,” she said with a voice like that of an angel as she rose again.

Maxmilian rises, "Yes, please, come with me, I am sure that you are tired after your long journey, come." He motions twoards a black limo that is hovering several feet above the pavement. He walks up to it and as she aproaches, opens one of the side doors for her. After she took he seat, he sat down across from her.

"So Lady Feaelen, what brings you to my humble nation?"

IC:A procession was makeing its way twoards Zedran. The air around it was filled with shouts in the vile language of the skaven, loud humming from warpstone powered devices, rumbling of the vehicles, and the marching of feet.
The main guards were 20 Revenant MK2s, 40 M2 Leopards, and 10 Fusches filled with skaven. The marchers were in the form of 300 Clanrats and 100 Stormvermin, all the soldiers had weapons, many with AT or AP weapons. The diplomats were all in converted Fusches, each accompinead(spelling?) by a guard of 20 Deathvermin.
(OOC:5 Diplomats: 1 from moulder, 1 from skyre, 1 from eshin, 1 from pestlins, and 1 grey seer representing the council)

OOC:The reason for the large force is skaven paranoia, but I have to go soon, so sorry for lack of description.....
