Commodore Henry Perrign was pleased with the action that followed the previous day. The Combined Vernii, Erewhonese and Wickian force completely destroyed the Stocur fleet. Yet it was disturbing that the Erewhon withdrew from the Alliance, betraying all those who put their trust in them. How he wished he ordered his LAC's to attack them, when he found out about how his people were betrayed by the Erewhonese who let an massive Hegemony fleet sail uncontested through their system using the wormhole to Thetis.

How events could have been different if only the Erewhonese decided to fight, instead of being convinced by the Valinon by safety with complacency. Politicians just don’t understand the way of the Warrior, he saw a fire burn in several of the Erewhon officers eyes as they stated their intentions to withdraw from the alliance, it was not their decision.

So here he was with his detachment in the Stocrum system lying doggo in wait for the enemy to appear...

Stocrum System

The 2 cruisers flew through the system quickly. Sensors were on full, and the ships were ready for any ambushes.
However, they were also to assess the condition of the system. It was chaotic. Wreckage floated through space. Who knew what condition the worlds themselves were in, but that was not the purpose of the scouts. They continued on, surveying the damage and keeping an eye out for enemies.

A lone freighter appeared would appear on any modern sensors left operating in the Stocurm system. It was obviously a victim of an errant missile barrage from the Q-Ships. The Massive vessels Wedge was Flickering the forward impeller nodes venting gasses and radiation. An older man appeared, he was bleeding from his forehead his bridge chaotic behind him obvious sporting battle damage. The message was full of static and breaking up…
"Unknown Ve--- this is the Sto----chant Vessel Hauler Prime. We have s---ined massive damage t------ard imp--ler n-es. O---rward Magnetic Containment bottle is cracked and leaky radiat-----------lf the ship has been evacuated and the radiation is spr---------------d someone to get us off this thing before its too late and all -co----------ion with home is impo-------as all the remote satellites be------hot out of the sky. The message was encrypted and relayed back to the waiting fleet.
"Ignore them, they are none of our concern... No, this may be some kind of trap. Captain, destroy the freighter."

The cruiser slowed as it moved towards the freighter, keeping a respectable distance. Suddenly, a cap-killer round flew from one of the gauss cannons. The cruiser pulled away at full speed to avoid any debris.
The cruiser continued on its way, surveying the system.

IC: The bridge of the Hauler Prime was deathly silent, they have just been executed, by their own allies. A small woman started weeping in the background. The CAP-Killer got closer still.

"Calm yourself Devin. Its their choice to be murders, we are not . Any civilized naval officer is dedicated to protect merchant men. Hell i saved many Valinon merchants in my day and they have returned the favor many fold. We are here to prevent men like those in the cruisers from doing more harm. That freighter was only to be bait to draw them in close, i will not like them be killed like this that was a FUCKING distress call GOD DAMIT." The bridge crew was shocked, the Commodore never swore it was unprofessional much less raise his voice. "Order all ships to Beat to quarters engage the enemy, scramble shuttles evac that freighter get the crew to safety. If need be we will leave them behind I’m sure the Stocurm will return us the favor."
With that order the Wickian fleet and the 160 Light Attack Craft that were lying doggo around the freighter activated their wedges. A single counter missile from a DD swatted the Cap-Killer from existence.

Captain Sir Kyle Brooks of the Fraternity class BC Tyrannous Rex was excited he finally got to use his BC(P) Lance in combat. Like any man he loved big guns and this class of ship could make a big boom.
"Sarah, order all ships in the Lance to concentrate fire on the lead cruiser using Nukes. Half the warheads ECM or dazzlers. " with that the BC(P) which were as deadly as any super-dreadnaught fired for the first time in anger at an enemy. over 1000 missiles each came from the BC which meant 4000, nuclear missiles raced at the lead cruiser at over 75,000kps.
The Screening ships contributed a mere 100 missiles.
The LAC disappeared from sensors as they activated their massive ECM emitters and hid in the debris of battle as they accelerated at 590g’s toward the enemy.

OOC: BTW being called a Vagrant Whore is the worst insult any Wickian can give, it is often replied with a deul to the death....ofcourse that only happen 22 times in last year alone ....

Bajoni Fleet
Saeros stood up, pointing at the viewscreen. "There they are! There they are... Take us in."

The ships entered hyperspace in a flash of red. All around the Wickian ships, Bajoni cruisers emerged in red flashes, immediatly putting up ECMs and going into evasive manuevers. Farther out, a large gash of chaotic red ripped across space, leaving the battleship contingent behind. Thousands of fighters poured from the gaping hangar bays and flight decks. These were no orinary fighters though, they had been loaded with miniature cap-killers in thier gauss cannons. The fighters streaked into the battle as the harassing cruisers broke off at high speed, leaving a plethora of mines behind them to trouble the enemy ships.
As the fighters entered the frey, the cruisers took up a position guarding the battleships.
As the fighters swarmed around the enemy ships, they pulled around the wedges and sidewalls, getting clear shots off at the heads of the enemy ships.

A cold smile appears on Henry Perrign's face. So they intended to fight after all. The disrupters from the Fighters were too small to penetrate the newest innovation from BuShips. The Bow wall operated on the same principle as a LAC ability to form a sidewall around the bow of the ship. The relatively small energy mounts of the enemy remote LACs were simply diverted, only a fraction penetrated.

"Have all point defense batteries target the fighters even the Auto cannons. I want the BC(p) to target those capital ships. Have them increase their range also, bring the LAC into the center of that storm. time for some extermination. ' he stated. Every Wickian ship begins launching CM canister at the fighters as hundreds of mini-wedges each a mere 50 km in length went spiraling through space destroying anything they came into contact with. PD lasers light the area around the ships in a purple haze. Finally the five inch rotary auto cannons spoke. it would be a slaughter here, but not of the Wickian capital ships.
The LAC are only considered light when compared to real capital warships each one massed over 20 thousand tons, and they bristled with PD laser clusters all of which sent lasers ripping towards the host of targets.
The rotary missile launchers on the LACs also spoke in anger sending a dirty nuke of 5mt into a large pocket of fighters, the EMP from these detonations were great as they were intended for a "Triple Ripple".

Brooks' Lance was 100k away from the carrier, just far enough for this tactic to be effective, he used his broadside launcher to send 40 nuclear missiles each 5 mt each into the swarm of fighters around his sister ships. they would not likely damage his friends but the there were so many fighters such that the missiles could detonate safely from any Wickian ship. The EMP effectives from these missiles were not nearly so bad as the LACs but would have an effect .

Half the fighters were lost. The others had scrambled away or were already harassing ships.

Fighters scrambled in small groups of 3 or 4 each, letting off thier cap killers at the weakest points of the enemy's shields. The shots were fired in succession so that one would hit, then another, then another. The idea was to punch through the sidewalls or the sheilding on the heads, so that the other gauss rounds could contact with the ship.

Every Wickian ship was targetted with these attacks, as the 3,874 fighters left on the field continued to harass the enemies.

Back at the Bajoni battleships, a second wave of fighters was prepared.

So it had come... the Wickian Empire, under siege by enemies from the red planet of the Sol system. It seemed an irony that Mars, in Earth mythology, just so happened to be the god of War in the Roman culture.

The Wickians, and Cyberutopia allied against these foes... and they had called upon Wormia. Wormia would not turn down those who had fought and died next to Wormian men. So again... the great empires clashed in the cold, icy, unforgiving expanse that was outer space....

"Report!" Admiral Matau Jameran half shouted as he strode onto the command ship's bridge.

"Sir, everyone's here. Sensors see Bajon, the WIck, Vernii... the party's all but started..." came the reply from the young blonde ensign who was Jameran's communications operator.

"Take us in, Briant." He said. His fleet was far from weak, and, his command ship, if anything inspired terror alone. At three kilometers, it was a spatial behemoth... but... nothing compared to the new Wormian battleship. To him, the command of the Jupiter-class was an adolescent dream. For now... the command of the FRW Krakow would suffice. It had ... firepower... as did the rest of his fleet. He leaned back in his command seat, and watched whilst the Wormian fleet entered into the midst of war.

Commodore Henry Perrign gazed upon the tactical display which showed the enemy disposition within the Stocurm system. Just outside missile range laid the Main Body of the enemy, a large collection of red dots represented the two dozen or so Bajon Battleships in the system and their cruiser consorts. Not even Wickian sensors could display the drone fighters employed by the Bajon so they were grouped into units of four.

While the Cap-killers employed by the drones were not able to damage the Wickian capital ships, the smaller escorts begin to take damage as the shells penetrated their Sidewalls at point-blank range. His force would not be able to hold if the Bajon Main Group pressed into attack range.

"Tactical initiate withdrawal plan Delta-Theta-02" The Commodore ordered.
"Initiating withdrawal plan Delta-Theta-02 Aye, Aye Sir!" the Tactical officer repeated as the orders went out. The Wickian fleet repositioned itself for a best time withdrawal out of the system. The Hopeful and a lance of DD’s formed an arrowhead with the remaining heavy cruisers and the BC (P)'s forming the rear guard. All the ships devoted their weapons fire to targeting the remaining drones, using close-in PD laser clusters, Five-inch rotary auto cannons, and Flak. As well as counter-missiles and they continued to use nuclear warheads as anti-drone weapons targeting the larger collections of drones.

On the fringes of the Stocurm system, a series of blue-white jump space exit nodes appear, discharing energy. From them emerge ships of symetry, order, and perfection the tenets of the Ascendancy of Boroglia and its Expansionary Defense Fleet. The Boroglian detachment to Stocurm consists of a carrier, a pair of escorting heavy cruisers, three quick-strike cruisers, and four destroyer escorts. It's commander is Rear Admiral Federico Rosecrans, one of the Rosecrans family of the Nine Families of the Council of Aristocras, a rampant traditionalist bent on bring order to Stocurm via Boroglian authority.
Rosecrans stands on the bridge of the BWS Lucietta, the Proteus-class carrier flagship of the small detachment. He turns away from the viewports, looking at Captain Valdez, his flag captain.
"Report."
"We have forces positively identified as Bajoni warships engaged with what appears to be a Wickian picket force. They are roughly four million kilometers in-system from our current position."
"Deploy two squadrons of Black Wasp interceptors and have them move in-system to do an indepth probe. Have the rest of the fleet form up and set a course at all ahead full to join the engagement. Move to box the Wickians in and force them to go between our own force and the Bajoni warships."
"Yes, sir."

"Sir we have detected a hyper footprint close to our line of withdrawal, CIC classifies it as a Proteus-class carrier, and escorts."

[i] Proteus [\i] that was a Boroglin design, it seems that the rumors of their desire to bring order to this system were true... let them try and block our withdrawal, Perrign thought to himself.

“Regroup the LAC's have them group up for a raid on that carrier, keep 20 back as a CAP. Also bring up a division of BC (p) I want them to provide suppressing fire as the LACs close..." Perrign ordered. The Wickian formation altered, the 140 LAC's with ECM pumping advanced on the Carrier group.
